Monday Lunch with Friends Did Not Disappoint! It had been a while since I visited The Cheesecake Factory at Cumberland Mall, and I'm so glad I decided to come back! We stopped in for a Monday lunch with friends and were greeted and seated right away. And, of course, one of the first things to hit the table was that basket of bread. Yummy! Our server, Jasmine, gets 10 stars from me! She was attentive, friendly, and gave us some great lunch suggestions, including the Chicken Piccata and Cajun Salmon. We started with the Egg Roll Sampler, which had a nice variety, including Avocado Rolls, Tex-Mex Spring Rolls, and Chicken Taquitos. I tried the avocado roll and chicken taquito, and both were tasty little bites. The sampler also came with a variety of dipping sauces, although I didn't really try them. For my entrée, I went with the Cajun Salmon with loaded mashed potatoes and broccoli. And when I say those mashed potatoes were LOADED, they definitely understood the assignment! The salmon was flavorful, and the entire meal was delicious. My friends ordered the suggested Chicken Piccata and the Blackened Shrimp Alfredo. The portions were generous, and none of us could finish everything. No problem there because we packed up the leftovers to enjoy later, along with some extra bread. Now, you can't visit The Cheesecake Factory without talking about CHEESECAKE! Our selections were: * Key Lime Cheesecake * Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake * Hershey's Chocolate Bar Cheesecake I chose the Key Lime Cheesecake and managed to take a little bite before packing it up. So delicious! That Key Lime flavor came through from beginning to end, creamy, tangy, and exactly what I wanted. ‍ Nice Pop Music playing not too loud.. with selections from the Carpenters and Adele it made lunch enjoyable There is plenty of mall parking, and valet service is normally offered, although it wasn't available during our visit. So I cut them some slack with the wait time. Waiter was not as attentive as he could've been. I had Shrimp Scampi which came cold. I ate the shrimp and left the pasta. I wasn't impressed at all and I've been here before and had great food ...but the vibe is different now. We had to ask for the bread to be brought out. Yesterday, a few friends of mine got together and visited the Cheesecake Factory. It had been a while, plus it's been trending on TikTok. The wait was 45 minutes. Not too bad for Saturday afternoon, but still a long time. We finally got a table and were greeted by a nice server. Now she wasn't my favorite, any time we asked for suggestions she would respond "I don't eat that. I don't like that. I don't engage in trends on TikTok". Trying the cheesecake factory brunch menu they definitely had a lot of options and dishes to choose from. I opted for the biscuits and gravy that also came with chicken and a hot honey sauce. The homemade biscuit was delicious. The gravy was perfect. I didn't really care for the hot honey sauce that was on the chicken it wasn't very spicy and I just didn't like the flavor. What a giant disappointment. We come to this location multiple times and never had an issue until today. We were there to celebrate my friend's birthday. Our reservation is at 6 and we were seated by 6:08. Took a few minutes for our server to come greet us, we all started off with waters, but said that we will be ordering drinks and we have one more friend arriving in 10mins. Came back with the water and bread baskets and he disappeared again. Our friend arrives and finally got our server's attention to order appetizers. At this point, we were kind of annoyed and the birthday girl said to forget about the drinks. She flagged some other server down to refill our waters (still haven't seen our server come back after taking our appetizer order). Someone delivered our appetizer and we asked him to refill our waters again. At this point, we see our neighboring table's server more than we see ours. Birthday girl flagged someone else down for more waters and we just sat and waited. Finally was able to flag down someone, probably a manager that was walking around, told him that we haven't seen our server in a long time and we would like to order dinner. He said ok, walked away and came back and said that he will take our order. His demeanor / attitude was short and borderline rude (at least when he was talking to me) but so soft spoken and patient with my friend sitting across from me with her questions. The last 2 entrees that's delivered to our other friends, the fried cauliflower... was hot. The veggie burger was hot but the whole thing fell apart when she picked it up. She also had to wait for her sweet potato fries, which was actually fresh. Then our server popped up to check on us, we went ahead and told him to put in our to-go order and asked for our check (not really sure how long it would take for him to come back if we let him leave... LOL). We all just kind of picked at our food, the quality of the food is just not there and we were really annoyed at the lack of service that we got. The one that I missed the most was the chicken Franchese which was two huge tenderized chicken breast dipped in egg batter and sautéed with lemon and garlic, sautéed with spinach that was served over arugula I just loved! I had ordered the chicken piccata and a side of spinach definitely not the same taste or flavor. I checked in with the front desk and was told to wait until I got a text message. By the time I turned around to walk back outside, I got a text message. We sat at a small booth near the bathroom, which is not my preferred seating, but it was close enough to the bar so my boyfriend could watch what we sport was on . It is a Saturday night so I was expecting them to be busy but for my significant other and I usually take us less than two hours to eat our full meal and leave a restaurant. My food was OK unfortunately they are not letting you sub mashed potatoes for sides of pasta. I typically order the chicken cotta or the chicken piccata and I sub out the mashed potatoes for Angel hair pasta. I was told they are not allowed to do that company wide. So for what I did eat of my food, everything was fine . My server in hopes of making up for our visit did give us a slice of complementary cheesecake. Came over to the Cheesecake Factory after the Italian restaurant under quoted how long the wait was going to be. We ended up having a great time. Our waiter was personable and willing to chat when he stopped by the table. I couldn't struggled to decide what to eat, and settled on a Cuban sandwich. If done correctly, a Cuban is the pinnacle of the sandwich arts, done wrong it can be a disaster. With the exception of a smidge too much mustard (I think smidge is a valid unit of measurement), the sandwich was delicious. Over one hour and fifteen minutes later we got our appetizer then the food was out 10 minutes later. The dinner was cold. We asked for a manager the waitress alleged they would give us cheesecake. Well cool but already decided never coming again. The menu is not as diverse prices up quality and service down. So I decided to use the restroom before I left. Not one drop or toilet paper in any of the stalls no soap and no toilet paper(as evidenced in the pictures). I asked to speak to the manager as at that point i was ready to vomit. The manager Tabatha West gave me a lackluster apology and said the employees use another restroom...wrong answer? Even if that is true you don't care about your customers. So after complaining so much she took the dinner off the $75 meal. I filled out the survey and asked to be contacted not a peep yet. Regardless this prompted me to look at their health report and what do you think they are knocked for? Personal hygiene. I wish I could give them zero stars. This is horrific poor service and it clearly starts with the management. Knowing how generous the portion sizes are, I decided to skip the appetizers and go straight to an entrée. I ordered the Tomato Basil Chicken Penne, which came out steaming hot and smelled amazing. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the sauce was a perfect balance of tangy and savory flavors. My favorite part was the addition of fresh Parmesan grated right in front of me--it was a simple touch, but it made the dish feel extra special. The portion was indeed huge, but every bite was delicious, and I savored it to the last forkful. Now for dessert--drumroll--I had to try the cheesecake! With so many tempting options, I had a tough time deciding, but ultimately I went with the Chocolate Caramel Pecan Cheesecake. It was pure decadence: a base of gooey pecan brownie topped with rich dark chocolate ganache, creamy caramel cheesecake, and a final layer of thick caramel sauce and toasted pecans. It came with a side of whipped cream, just in case the layers of indulgence weren't enough! Although the menu clearly listed the calorie count for each cheesecake, it didn't influence my decision--I was fully committed to diving in. The cheesecake was so delicious that I'm still craving it as I write this. The dark chocolate and caramel flavors are truly a match made in heaven. Among all the variety of flavors they offered, I'm glad I went with this one, despite a brief moment of indecisiveness. Ahh, The Cheesecake Factory - an American staple. This place fills me with so much nostalgia. I don't visit often but when I do, I always enjoy myself. Cheesecake Factory is one of those iconic national brands that used to feel like Michelin star eats as a child, lol. Every visit was a celebration! As an adult, the urge to visit may miss me every now and then but when it hits me, I answer. My best friend and I were shopping at Cumberland and as soon as I remembered that The Cheesecake Factory was in the building, my mind (and stomach) immediately went to that brown bread and we were on our way. We visited on a Saturday so I expected that the restaurant would be packed and I was right. Lucky us, the hostess took our info and notified us that it would be a 10-15 minute wait. Not too bad! We foolishly took a seat in front of the cheesecake display and were subjected to flashes of sweetness over those 10-15 minutes, pretty much ensuring that we'd walk out with one of our own lol. (They really should put all waiting areas in front of the cheesecake display, I know they'd sell even more!) In minutes we were seated. We were greeted by a young lady who, although not our waiter, brought us waters and took our drink orders as she let us know that our waiter was occupied but on the way - I appreciated that!! Our server (I believe his name was Joshua) made it over to our table a few minutes later and he was truly a joy. Our drinks took a little longer to reach our table than hoped, but it was only because we put in our order with someone else. They were fresh and strong when they got to us, that's all that matters. I'm on a weight-loss journey to lose baby weight so I was happy to see that TCF had a "skinnylicious" menu making it easy to count my calories while I dined in. I decided to go for a skinny mojito to pair up with my spicy tuna appetizer and both were so delicious. The spicy tuna bites ranged in sizes but were really light but decadent in flavor - 10/10. For our meals, my bestie went with the meatloaf and WOW. She accidently ordered the dinner portion and it was massive and looked so good. I opted for the skinnylicious Asian chicken lettuce tacos which were packed with veggies and paired up with a spicy peanut + a cashew dipping sauce. I tore those tacos UP. They were super filling without leaving me feeling drowsy or overstuffed. And of course we both left with cheesecake! I wasn't a sweets lover before my son but now that I am, I indulge! Unfortunately there are no "skinnylicious" cheesecakes (if you're counting calories, don't look at the cal counts on the menu without an asthma pump nearby) and the plain flavor just didn't excite me enough so I opted for the Salted Caramel and vowed to eat it in small portions, lol. I really feel for the cooks , but I ended up going with the crispy battered fish tacos. It ended up being a colossal mistake as the picture I took below, was how I left my meal. It was not good at all. The fish was extremely greasy and unseasoned. There was a serious lack of flavor throughout the entire taco. I was extremely disappointed. When I mentioned to the server that it wasn't good. She nicely stated that she told me to get the grilled taco. (Which she did and that's why I'm giving two stars. What they saying bout Cheesecake Factory??? If a date of mine too bougie to do Cheesecake Factory, she won't eat on my dime. I wish a woman would!!!! It really blows my mind how expansive the menu a Cheesecake is. Then, every item I've ever had has always been better than decent. The consistency is noteworthy! After walking dang near 2.5 miles around Cumberland Mall, I worked up an appetite. Cheesecake Factory was close and had a short wait. So I went for it. You can't go wrong at this location. Everything is standard issue Cheesecake Factory, which means the front end will be ornate and it will sport a sort of festive vibe. Service is beyond SLOW! We got to the front counter @815 seated @9:00, didn't get but 1 drink a Long Island until 9:45, waited on the coke for the second drink until 10pm. I took a walk around and they were at about 88-89% compactly. Bar was at 100%, outdoor seating about 50%. Saw about 4 large parties of at least 14 people each. Wait staff looked to be about 70% full however there were people standing around while guest at about 15 tables I could count waited on food or to pay tickets. read more

Tried it again for delivery - got the chicken piccata. I was looking forward to it because I haven't had it in a while. I know the food is usually a hit or miss so that's why I stick to cheesecake. I was really excited because the portions were huge but as soon as I opened it, I noticed that the chicken was white, no seasoning, no crust, nothing just white. Also under the box was really oily which is weird because nothing was leaking. I tried the pasta and it was bland as well. I tried to put truffle hot sauce on it to try to make it better but it didn't help (that's the red sauce in the picture). Tried to give it two bites, couldn't do anymore after that. The portion sizes were actually great and at least I know that cheesecake will be consistently good, but probably won't be ordering the food again. The brown bread is always a hit too.
