Honestly-I've been here multiple times over the years and the food is usually really good however, today will likely be the last time I attempt to dine in for service based off the wait experience. I came in for a party of 2 people, myself and my daughter at 10:45am and was quoted a 45 minute wait time. The time is now 11:32am and I found out that I'm 10th on the list. I saw people come in after me, get quotes 45 mins to an hour and then get seated in 5-10 minutes. When I approach the host stand I explained the explanation was "looks can be deceiving" as there is an online wait option. After re-explaining myself I was met with a blank stare. Additionally, I saw several tables available, inside and outside. They were cleaned and anyone who had a party of 2 could have sat there....they just seemed to not be in use? One table was cleaned and sitting vacant for 15 minutes. If "looks can be deceiving" it's really important to ensure that the looks make sense to people who are inside and outside of your organization....Don't have empty tables. Quote accurate times and set expectations for customers upon check-in. Maybe even consider removing the online wait list. read more

I've been to this location several times, but I feel like every time I go, I like it a little less. We went around lunchtime on a Friday and it was crowded but we got seated pretty quickly. The music was so loud and bass-heavy. It was really annoying. Most of the folks there were families with little ones or senior citizens, so I'm not sure who that music was for but it made it hard to talk. Our waitress was really attentive at first and then it was hard to get what we asked for or see her again. We had to ask for lemon for our water twice before getting it. We asked for a box at the end and then she never came back, so we had to go up to the front to ask for one. The iced coffee was just okay, nothing special for the price. The menu is very meat-heavy. And the few vegetarian items have the exact same veggies and cheese, so if you don't like sun dried tomatoes and goat cheese, you're out of luck. I get that it probably makes it easier for the kitchen, but some varied vegetarian options would be amazing. I got the smoked salmon frittata, which was just ok. Too many tomatoes, not enough salmon. I also wanted more sour cream or something for it. I subbed grits for the salad, and they too were just ok, pretty bland. My dad got the lemon ricotta pancakes, which were huge (two meals) and he really enjoyed them. My mom got half a veggie sandwich, which had at least an inch on raw spinach on it, and half a sweet honey pecan salad (without chicken or bacon). The salad was actually really good. I ordered the Power Breakfast Bowl to go and was very clear that I did not want eggs, meat, sausage, cheese, or any other animal products because I wanted it to be a vegan meal. When I got home and opened my order, it had eggs in it. I've been coming to this location for the past two years, and I've never had such a disappointing experience. First watch at Cumberland Plwy have made some drastic changes to their restaurant design. They have strategically made greater usage of space. The front entrance has been resigned as well as the restroom front entrances. It just makes sense. I chose the traditional breakfast with turkey sausage and a Belgian waffle. For the beverage I had a morning mediation. My first round of over easy eggs came out overly hard, but my server Trinity stepped up and had the chef whip together a set of perfectly timed easy eggs. It was epic. How many times have we dined out and had to get something replaced and it came at the end of the dining experience? My food was still warm when the eggs came out. I was grateful. I actually like First Watch at this location. The food is healthier than most breakfast spots in Atlanta. First Watch focuses on Non-GMO dishes which all restaurants should have this as a requirement. The drink are always fresh and in good taste. I give this experience 4.5 starships. We order lunch online to go today for a l:40 pickup that was not ready . Had to wait until 2:05. Roast beef havarti and mushrooms frittata was good. Half of the potatoes were burnt . They do not scrape the overcooked pieces away . It is hit or miss when you order the potatoes in the restaurant or to go. I thought I would try the new little biscuits with honey butter. We frequently visit this First Watch location, but unfortunately our last two visits have been very disappointing. Although we were seated promptly, we were not greeted by our server for several minutes. On both occasions, I had to return to the hostess stand after waiting 5-10 minutes just to get assistance. During our most recent visit, the waitress assigned to our table made eye contact with me multiple times but never came over. When I went back to the hostess stand, another staff member--who was not our assigned server--assisted us right away and was very pleasant. Overall, the service has been extremely slow lately. It also took quite a while for our food to arrive. I observed that the waitress assigned to us had other tables nearby that she also did not check on consistently. She took their orders and delivered beverages, but did not return until their food was ready and it was time for payment. Manager Eddie did come by toward the end of our meal, listened to our concerns, and comped our meal, which we appreciated. He was professional and attentive. I let her know I was on the call ahead and she had an attitude with me and stated a glitch on the screen. She was tall with glasses. I was sat with a server by the name of Tre. She was excellent. She suggested the lemon cornbread which was delicious. I was shocked by how the managers talk to their employees. Tre was bringing plates to the table for the cornbread and then I heard a manager disrespecting her and then said something about her hair. I walked in at 7:35am on a Monday morning and was immediately greeted by Liz who also worked as my server. She was very polite, easy to communicate with and thorough in taking my order. The restaurant was calm, clean and felt like a whole vibe. I absolutely loved the chill atmosphere and felt like this could be a great breakfast date place! I ordered the Morning Market Veg Omelette made with egg whites and 2 pieces of regular French toast with butter on the side and (without the powdered sugar-not my preference). Liz came back very quickly with my drink order and I relaxed until my food arrived. My first order came out perfect but was still hungry so I placed a second order of food and my server made the assumption it was to-go, but I wanted it for here and was going to pack the French toast for later. I came on a Sunday so it was crowded, but I joined the waitlist before heading there so that made my wait pretty short. This was my first time going to First Watch. Restaurant was packed on a Sunday but service was great. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. Drinks and food came out pretty fast despite the crowded day. The purple haze was the perfect combination of sweet and tangy, so good, had to order another. The queso on the carnitas meal was the best. The biscuit and gravy was very filling and went well with the crispy potatoes and eggs. Prices are also very reasonable. I went to a first watch location in South Carolina and absolutely loved it so went here thinking that it would be a similar experience. I was extremely wrong. The wait was super long. We put our name on the list online and it said a 35 to 50 minute wait. When we got there it had already been 30 minutes and they told us it would be an additional 30 minutes so in total it was an hour wait. Also, when I walked in, I got the vibe that the hostess was stressed out because she did not even look at me. She was really frazzled and looking down at her iPad and didn't even notice that there was a customer standing right in front of her. It actually started to get very awkward because she wasn't looking up at all. Note to the business to have someone who is greeting customers and actively attending to them when they walk in even if it is just put their name on the list or give them an update on where they they are in line. Once we finally got seated we placed our order, and our order came out in batches. Our waters took a little bit of time to come out. Then there was another round probably 10 min later with the rest of the drinks.!Thankfully, we did get an order of pancakes out pretty quickly. The rest of the food took a little bit of extra time to come out after that. Our waitress was really friendly so that was a plus and she was super attentive. As far as the food goes, I would say that it was lacking in flavor and just didn't seem to hit the spot for any of the items that we ordered. I ordered the egg sandwich, blueberry pancakes, and the watermelon wake me up juice. The pancakes were ok, but the syrup was not warm syrup and even though we ordered blueberry pancakes it didn't seem to have a lot of blueberry flavor. Also, The egg sandwich probably should've come with a different type of cheese because it tasted super bland with just the avocado egg and cheese.
