I was impressed to say the least! Before I arrived, I hadn't ever heard of this restaurant. Yet as I entered and sat down, I was quickly entertained by the smooth sounds from the DJ and immediately the vibe was set. Our waitress, Nyla had a very was calming presence, she greeted us and began taking g out order. The restaurant energy was upbeat and calm for a Sunday. While the Dj played some hits, smooth enough to vibe out but not too much to make people get up and dance. Energy was very subtle. We ordered drinks and food. Everyone decided to stick w/ the lemonade. Oooouuuuu wee, that drink was good and refreshing! MY MEAL- I ordered the All Around Omelette, w/ the peach cobbler French toast!! Now let's get into this French toast.... When I tell you this entree was DELICIOUS - believe me! The bread was soft, and the cobbler was seasoned to perfection! It gave a nice bold mouth full of flavor, that was devoured! I was initially nervous b/c I assumed the bread would be thick and hard, considering it was actually French bread. Instead, this was an absolute 10/10! My omelette was good as well just a bit over cooked for my preference. However the toppings/ filling balanced the eggs dryness. Nonetheless, I enjoyed everything on my plate, except the biscuits. They were okay but those seemingly homemade biscuits need butter in our opinion. The food was soft good I ordered my man a Jerk chicken and waffle plate to share!

Party of 17 for a Mother's Day weekend brunch at Gritz Brunch Bar. Upon arrival, the young gentleman at the front stated he was unaware of our large party reservation. He did work to prepare tables for us, although he seemed hesitant to combine all of the tables together for the group. Unfortunately, the floors were noticeably dirty, and the staff appeared to make a last-minute attempt to clean the area as we were being seated. Our server was kind and pleasant, but the service lacked attentiveness in several areas. A few members of our party were initially overlooked when orders were being taken, and some drinks never arrived without gentle reminders. On the positive side, everyone eventually received their meals. Now, the food itself? Absolutely amazing overall. The flavor, temperature, portion sizes, and quality were impressive. Most of our group thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The only consistent complaint came from a few people who ordered the French toast -- they felt it lacked flavor and thought the issue may have been more about the bread selection than the preparation itself. Despite the service and cleanliness concerns, this is still a spot worth trying. The staff would greatly benefit from additional customer service training -- smiling, checking on guests regularly, and maintaining engagement with customers goes a long way, especially when the restaurant is nearly empty. Our group was practically the only large party dining there for close to two hours. The cleanliness also needs immediate improvement. First impressions matter, and honestly, a food critic or health professional might have walked out based solely on the condition of the floors upon entry. That said, we're genuinely glad we chose Gritz as our 2026 Mother's Day Saturday brunch destination. The food made the experience worthwhile, and we absolutely plan to return. Hopefully management receives this feedback in the spirit it's intended -- constructive, honest, and hopeful for improvement.

Oxtail's, Greens, Yams and a honey Biscuit!

I had oxtails, greens and yams, over all I will give it this place a 7/10. The yams were the best not to sweet but just right and they melted in your mouth. Oxtails were super tender but they seemed like it was missing something, I just don't know what the something was, however they were good. Greens were a little tasteless but over all the entire meal was good. Service was excellent, our server was friendly and funny and she explain the menu very well. The atmosphere was peaceful, clean and very inviting! I would go back to try their chicken and catfish meal next time!

The shrimp and grits and the Georgia peach were so good. If you want some good for a good price come here.

First impression visit on a Saturday morning at 10:30AM with a large party. The restaurant was full by 11:00AM. Restaurant is located in a suite. There is free street parking for 2 hours. At the time we went out was easy to find parking. We ordered the seafood omlette plate, smothered pork chops, fried pork chops, and the all around omlete with salmon. Pros They have music but it is not loud- you can have a conversation without having to yell over the music. They have traditional Atlanta brunch prices but they give great portions. The omletes had fresh cut tomatoes. Cons They do not serve appetizers. There are no appetizers on the menu. The pork chops were fried too hard. We asked for a side of gravy and the gravy had more seasoning than the chops. They have automatic gratuity and I do not appreciate being mislead. When it was time to pay, they server showed the tipping screen, not the receipt, and I tipped like a normal person would. She did NOT tell me that gratuity was automatically included, making me give her a $50 tip. I should have been shown the receipt, regardless of what the menu may or may not say. 10. Would I Recommend: No, the food is just okay, the service is subpar, and the tipping was misleading. Follow me here on Yelp and @jessreviewss on Instagram/Tik Tok for more.

And just like that, I ended back up at Gritz Brunch Bar with my Life Group family from church. When it came time to plan our outing, we had a few options, however, based on my last experience at Gritz Brunch Bar, it was a go. Lic arrived early and checked us in, as they wait until the whole party is present to seat you, y'all know I had to hurry up as I was coming from the other end of Ga. Ha. Once I arrived, we were seated and told our server would be with us shortly. A few minutes after being seated, KeKe arrived at our table and greeted us then took our drink order. KeKe was pleasant with her welcome and greeted us with a smile. After placing our drink order we began to deep dive into the menu. Leave it to me to get again be torn between the 3 Wing Dinner or Peach Cobbler French Toast. At this point I just need to combine them. Lol. It took KeKe a few to come back with our drinks, but she seemed to be holding down a few tables and the bar by herself as everyone else around seemed to be too busy trying not to assist her. In any case, shout out to KeLe for keeping a smile on her face while dealing with so many people. We have to give Grace, especially when it's clear that it's not neglect... Once KeKe arrived with our drinks, we were ready to place our order. Now! After all that back and forth I did y'all, I ended up ordering the Pancak Platter with Bacon and added a side of Grits. Yeah. I know. Way off course. lol. We placed our order and went back to enjoying the music and our conversation. Gritz Brunch Bar has the best good feel ambiance. The music is always spot on for the time of day. It's never too loud and it's a great mix of styles and genres. The music def takes you down a road of memories that help add laughter and joy to the conversation. Shout out to Gritz Brunch Bar for understanding the power of music and using it for the good of the customer. I appreciate that. Once my food arrived I didn't want to talk to anyone. It was time to eatttttttttttttt. lol!!!! The pancakes were fluffy, golden, and truly homemade. Whoever's auntie-nana or uncle-gramps was in back cooking showed OUT with these Praise and Promise Pancakes. I'm talking not just good but good good. Buttery and Blessed. And the syrup was warm and melted into the pancake. Baby listen, this magical experience was enough to make me need a nap. The bacon was well done exactly as I asked for it to be. Crispy. Flavorful. Meaty. Perfectly Salty. And the perfect pair to the sweetness of the pancake. This is the kind of bacon that makes its own statement and needs no help from anything else on the plate. The Gritz! Lamb of Goddddddddd. When I say Gritz Brunch Bar showed us just why they are named GRITZ!!!!!! This buttery pleasure of warm sensations and pleasant memories was amazing. Not your 'instant' grits, this side of grits had the makings of love, peace, and elbow grease. Whoever made these understood the power of a good stir and didn't take their job as a joke. They stirred with care and seasoned the water to ensure the grits had a place at the victory table. When it comes to Gritz Brunch Bar, I will continue to take the hour ride for a moment of music, food, memories, and their sweet tea. Whether you are in the area or not, get to Gritz Brunch Bar and get you some.

My friend chose this place for our Saturday brunch. I've passed it tons of times and just never made it inside. Today was very special as there was the Juneteenth Freedom Day celebration. The street was blocked off with entertainment and vendors selling in O'Neal Square. When I arrived the hostess asked how many and said we can seat ourselves. There were plenty of open tables so that was easy. I was greeted by my server who brought menus and took my drink order. For the special occasion, there was a $4 mimosa and $7 margarita special. The drinks were served quickly and very tasty. For brunch we ordered the shrimp and grits and the salmon croquettes plate. The food came out fast, was a great presentation and tasted great. The restaurant was busy, there was a group celebrating their birthday, music and the garage doors were open for lots of fresh air. They kept tables cleaned and everyone had a smile on their face. I'll surely be back and look forward to trying more of their menu.

Service was decent. Nothing crazy. The quality of the food is not there which is disappointing for the price. I feel like the shrimp and grits ingredients were quickly prepped and placed to the side and thrown together for a dish. The shrimp had the tails on it which was annoying. The waffle did not have that rich red velvet taste to it. It could have been a waffle with red dye and I wouldn't have been surprised. I saw comments about the chicken ahead of time and it turns out that they are too small. A filet would be better than wings but that's me. The girl next to us was complaining to the server about no rice on the menu. The restaurant was more on the empty quiet side. The floor is uneven so our table slanted. There was one tv that played something out of three. The men's bathroom had no paper towels. This was our first time eating at the restaurant and probably won't be back.

had shrimp and grits along with mac n cheese while my girlfriend had redvelvet waffles and chicken and salmon croquette

The food was amazing genuinely It was 10/10 and the food came out fast. I also enjoyed the service the waiter was on point. I will definitely be returning to try more of the menu

Wings Meal with 2 sides

First I must say they had the best customer service. We were out walking downtown Douglasville looking for a place to eat. We found this spot on our way back to our car and We simply asked if they had special hours for Labor Day and they informed us they were closing we did show up after 4- we saw a few people dining and didn't think it would hurt to ask. we were set on leaving we didn't want to inconvenience anyone and they were like we could still come in they didn't mind taking us. They were super professional, the food was perfect and made to order, the music and vibes were great. Nothing was unreasonably priced. In A field where hospitality is dying we felt welcomed. We will be dining again. But we know the hours lol

Red velvet waffle. It was pretty good.

We have visited many times since we moved to the area. Always a wonderful meal and really good drinks. Service is bustling but great attention to detail. The atmosphere is lively. Lots of tables, music and chatter. Great start to an even better day.

Chicken wings, mac and cheese and Yams

I wanted to love this place because the bartender/ server was so friendly, but unfortunately they fell short in a lot of areas. First if I pay almost $20 for an alcohol beverage, I'd like to taste the alcohol. I ordered the cinnamon roll pancakes and they were delicious, however my egg came out wrong and I never got a replacement. I also ordered some chicken wings Mac and cheese, yams and greens to go, and the chicken wings were super small and tasted like they had been cooked hours ago. Because there are not a lot of restaurants close to my house. I will give this place another try since I did go 2 hours before they closed on a Wednesday. Maybe weekends are better!
