After a couple of months, we decided to come back to this establishment to see if they have improved since the first time we came here. I ordered The Classic and asked for scrambled eggs, sausage, sourdough bread, and fruit. I don't like grits or home fries, so I asked what the fruit was and the server said that it was mixed fruit such as berries, cantaloupe, melon, etc. I don't like any fruit from the melon group, such as papaya, cantaloupe, melon - yuck! The pancakes were good, super sweet and the apples were perfect. The pancakes were a little too dense/ moist. It made it hard to chew and swallow but tasted great. I wish there was some crumble on top of the pancakes- but it looked like oats were just mixed in the batter. The bacon was perfect. The home fries were okay. The Texas omelet was good- the chilies gave it a little spice and the andouille sausage was really good. The bread was okay. The coffee was good as well. The restroom has two stalls and were clean. The staff was very welcoming and attentive I never saw this place and gladly found out that they opened 4 months ago!! I LOVED the caramel apple pancakes, which were soft and sweet, with a generous amount of caramel and apples on top. The honey berry crunch yougurt bowl was good, you can't go wrong with fruit and yogurt. The loaded hash bowl was the ultimate comfort food, with a hearty and savory combination of potatoes, cheese, sausage(or bacon), eggs and for an extra treat get the hollandaise. I'm definitely adding eggs up to the breakfast list. My friend had the bacon, egg and cheese on a waffle which he said was good. The biscuits and gravy weren't our favorite. They've only been open a week but the customer base is there and excited. For a Sunday, it was busy at 10:30 AM with morning diners leaving church, running errands or just those who live in the area. There's a gap in the market for breakfast on this side of EW Connector that Eggs Up Grill has filed! The restaurant is decorated like a diner with a counter and plenty of seating. During good weather, there's an outdoor patio to eat as well. The wait to be seated was about 30 minutes because takeout and dine-in were very busy. We were patient and happy to try a new local place while catching up over coffee. KeKe was our server and top notch customer service! She's a star who balanced a few tables, always communicated what was happening, suggested crafted coffees and doing sides as half/half to try more menu items. I ordered the Sante Fe Chicken omelette with a half of grits and half home fries then subbed the toast for half a waffle. Everything was very fresh, tasty and served hot. It was very busy with customers coming and going. I saw management and staff working hard to keep everyone happy, busing tables and checking in.
