Next, you had the fried plantains this serving is enough for two people. Very delicious. Next you have the empanadas the Tinga that went really well with a creamy cilantro sauce. and finally, we have the taco sampler. You have a taco marinated like El Pastor with pineapple. Next taco is chicken Tinga with red onion. Next is regular chicken Asada taco with onions and cilantro. And the best one for me is a fish style taco. All served with handmade tortillas. Service was very attentive and courteous. Awesome fast service you don't wait long for your food. They greet you with already water with ice without asking. I love this. You are probably thinking "great another chicken place." It an area where chicken places are a dime a dozen, you have to find a place where the chicken is juicy and delicious. This is the spot! First, parking was ample in the back. We went on a Friday night and, even with a busy restaurant, we found parking pretty easy in back. We were greeted immediately and they offered us a table outside. Uh oh, it is a January night! There is too much of a chill in the air! We were escorted and promised the patio is heated. Not with those portable outdoor heaters. The patio was lined with built in heaters pointing inward. Very comfortable temperature. We all took our coats off while we ate without a single complaint. This location has a full bar. We went straight for a pitcher of the lime margarita. We made it a Cadillac... everyone got their own generous shot of grand marnier in a brandy glass. It was a decent (but not the best) margarita. A pitcher of watermelon was next. It too was decent. Appetizers were ordered. OMG, I never had poutine fries. If you can order these, do so! The nachos were incredible too. Each of us ordered something different for dinner. All you could hear were lips smacking and grunting as everyone loved their meals. Food came out to 4 of us but later than usual and it was not that busy. She looked over at me and asked what I ordered and then said " oh it's coming out soon". 7 mins later we asked again and she said gave us the same answer. About 6 to 7 mins later my food came out. At this point It would have been better to have told the truth that someone screwed up and apologize to me, maybe even offer another drink but I did not get a single apology. My husband came about a month ago and said the wait was 2 hours (of course he didn't stay). We wanted brunch, bottomless mimosas brunch, so I said let's give The Chicken Koop another try. My husband ordered the Canadian Plate which was a half of rotisserie chicken, poutine (fries) and a side of pita bread. My husband grubbed and enjoyed his meal. I, on the other hand, was not really satisfied. I don't want to work to eat my food and my meal (chicken & waffle) I had to cut the chicken (it was a half chicken on top of the waffle). I ended up putting my chicken to the side and ate the waffle. My preference with chicken and waffles is to have chicken strips or wings on the side. Like I mentioned earlier, we wanted bottomless mimosas. The bottomless here was a win! The cost was $22 per person. What I like is that it isn't premade, like some brunch spots. We were looking for a new place to try for lunch near where we were working that day. A search on Yelp really helped narrow it down. The reviews that we read online were not an exaggeration. This place is awesome! We had the option of inside or outside seating but since it was a little chilly, we sat inside. The music was great as well. We asked Maria, our server, for some recommendations to narrow down our focus because everything on the menu looked amazing. Very hard to make a selection from such a wide selection. My wife chose the Quinoa Salad and I focused on the BBQ Pulled Chicken Sandwich. Both selections were excellent. Full of chicken and flavors. The onion rings were out of this world good. Came here for brunch with a group and it was definitely a good spot for that. They have lots of drink options from flights to pitchers and bottomless mimosas during weekend brunches. It seemed to get full very quick, we called to make a reservation for 11:30 on Sunday and within 30 minutes there was a line outside so I would recommend getting there early or calling ahead. The parking lot was also small so I would keep that in mind. The service was okay, the servers were very friendly and patient but even before it got busy nobody really checked on us but they were quick with refilling our drinks. There's a lot of appetizers and shareable plates too. I enjoyed the nachos and pickles, but the esquire portion was disappointing and small. The chicken was really good and so were the sides. I knocked them down 1 star because they forgot to include my Mexican coke with my takeout order so I'm a bit disappointed but the food itself was amazing. The place: the restaurant itself has a calm ambience and is perfect for dates or friends if you want to catch up. It's clean and aesthetic and the staff are very friendly and professional. The food: the chicken is lightly seasoned so it tastes delicious without covering the original chicken flavor too much, just a perfect amount of seasoning. Normally this chicken is covered with minced garlic sauce but I ordered that on the side so I can control how much sauce I want. The bread that came with it is so soft and it melts in your mouth (reminds me if the Indian naan). Underneath the chicken there's white rice, it wasn't insanely good but I would say it's an average rice (still enjoyed every last grain tho lol). The Brussels sprouts are perfectly cooked but they're not salted, which is okay bc you can just add salt (as opposed to being unable to remove the salt so that works out). I 100% recommend it to everyone, and even though this was my first time it definitely will not h the last time bc the food is amazing. read more

As for the food, half of our group really enjoyed their meals and the other half thought it was just okay. I eat them a lot. However, they always say to add meat +something. At the chicken Koop it just says "chilaquiles" so I ordered not thinking about the meat. I've seen a lot of reviews saying the place gets loud, but the music wasn't an issue for us -- just a whole lot of Bruno Mars. We sat outside and were able to talk comfortably, though the place wasn't busy (maybe five tables), so that probably helped. For how slow the restaurant was, our server barely checked on us. Aside from a quick check-in after the food arrived, we had to flag her down a lot. When it came to the bottomless mimosa brunch, I understand restaurants have to be careful about overserving, but the service was slow from the very first drink order. The delays were excessive, especially considering the "bottomless" setup is just bringing another bottle since the juice is already at the table.
