It's pretty simple but four and under should get a kick out of it.

Looks exciting, right? Not so much. We came for the last hour on Friday but because the woman on the phone was unable to give me any kind of directions and because the museum's gps isn't accurate on all navigation systems (I tried two) we were even less time than an hour. I tried speaking with the manager who was immediately... Let's say curt... With brisk, gesticulating hand motions and all. As a manger of a tourist/activity-based company, that's just not how you talk to people. Stabby hands away, please. I was frustrated that we got here even later than intended. I was obviously tired and frustrated, but making sure not to talk down to the manager or come off hard. She was extremely defensive. The place was empty, so that says something in and of itself. It is entertaining for the really young ones so I could see why if you were a mother of a toddler it would be convenient (hence two stars and not one... Also it's clean). The front desk gal is probably going to get fired for me saying this but also two stars for her showing some reason and allowing the kiddo to go in while I sat and watched him from the entrance. Update: the director spoke with me and even though he had been misinformed and came to me thinking to worst, he was polite. I told him what had actually happened and he handled it well, including apologizing about the way the manager treated me. I appreciate that even though he thought I tried to come in and not pay (what?!? Lol I would NEVER) he was polite and professional from the GET GO!

    They love it here!

My grandkids absolutely love coming here! It's too bad they don't live nearby, but it's the first activity scheduled when they're visiting. My grandson especially likes the vet area & even named one of the dogs! I'm considering purchasing a membership so we can visit everyday when they're here. It's a great place for them to burn off all of their energy!

I've been to many museums through the years. This was my first visit to a presidential…read moremuseum/library, and it was spectacular. In addition to a 25-minute video production about the life of President George H.W. Bush (during which I shed a tear), there are more artifacts here than you can shake a stick at. The guides are quite friendly and knowledgeable, and they are prepared to answer questions. During my visit, there were several original artifacts on display, including FDR's speech on Dec. 8, 1941, and Elvis Presley's original enlistment documents. But those are traveling exhibits. There is plenty of Bush family memoriblia to quench your thirst for some up-close history.

I was in College Station over the weekend for a Texas A&M Class of 1980 Reunion, and part of the agenda was paying this place a visit. The George H. W. Bush Presidential Library complex, located on the campus of Texas A&M University in College Station, includes the Presidential Library and Museum, the Bush School of Government and Public Service, and the Annenberg Presidential Conference Center. My visit included the main Museum, a separate building holding the very cool Union Pacific 4141 Engine and the Marine One Helicopter, and the graves of President Bush, his Wife Barbara, and their Daughter Robin. The later involves a pretty walk around a scenic pond (and rose garden area) and onwards to a gated plot within a quiet woodsy area. If Gayle is reading this, of course I also took a look through the gift shop at the end of my visit. I found the main museum to be nicely curated, in chronological order, and with lots of interesting things to learn and remember. I found that I needed at least a couple passes through to help layer my visit. Of particular note (besides the 4141 and Marine One) were exhibits noting the fall of the Berlin Wall, Camp David, the family boat (Fidelity), and the car that the Bush family drove out to Texas for the first time. There was also a special (and worth visiting) exhibit when I was there Music America: Iconic Objects From America's Music History. Also, please don't miss the 22 minute orientation video when you first start in. I found that it really helped set the stage for what was to come at this museum.

4 stars? Let me tell you why…read more We've been visiting The Woodlands Children's Museum regularly for the past couple of years, and overall it's been a solid experience for younger kids. It's a well-managed space that's clearly designed for structured, imaginative play rather than chaos. If you know what to expect, it can be a great outing. Pros: * The location right off The Woodlands Parkway makes it easy to get to without going far out of the way. * The museum is the perfect size--big enough to keep kids engaged, but not overwhelming for parents or little ones. * They host multiple events throughout the month, which helps keep things interesting beyond a standard visit. * Being able to host birthday parties here is a big plus and very convenient. * Pricing feels fair for what's offered, especially compared to larger, more crowded children's attractions. Cons: * The layout doesn't change very often; in two years, I've only seen one noticeable update, which can make repeat visits feel a bit repetitive. * Parking can be frustrating since the lot is shared with a large gym, especially during peak hours. * The shopping center itself is pretty outdated and could really use a remodel, which affects the overall experience. * This is not the place for very hyper kids who need to run freely--everything is more controlled and calm. * There are no concessions, and outside food or drinks aren't allowed, which can be inconvenient for longer visits. Overall, this museum is a great option for younger children who enjoy hands-on, imaginative play in a calm environment. It's affordable, well-located, and thoughtfully run, but best suited for kids who do well with structure. We'll continue to visit, just not expecting major changes each time.

We've only been here one so far, but we really liked it…read more Specifically, we came because we were in the woodlands area for my daughter's birthday and so we thought it would be fun for her to play somewhere while there. I usually buy The Woodlands Children Museum membership with her birthday money, but we wanted to try someplace new. They do not have a membership, but they do have a punch card, which I thought I would consider purchasing for her birthday gift if she liked the place. My favorite thing about here is that they have age limits and they don't charge if you're over the age limit or younger than the age limit. This was perfect because although I had my older daughter with me, she sat in the corner on her phone the entire time so I would have been more annoyed if I had to pay for her. My son, who also aged out, came in later and played for a couple of minutes with his younger sister, but was ready to leave and get snacks quickly. So I am happy that I would not have to pay for the children that don't actually enjoy being there and have to come with their siblings haha. I wish the woodland's children museum, including others, would adopt that philosophy. Having said that, the videos that I saw online made it seem like it was a larger place than it is. It's probably around less than half the size of the woodlands children museum. They mostly just had everyday toys over there and tiny little rooms that I couldn't really maneuver with my stroller. I was surprised to see that they got busy pretty quick. I would expect a location to be larger if they had more patrons coming. I will have to say, I wish they had a couch or nice seating for the adults who were all pretty much just standing around or following their children. My daughter was able to do the slime for her birthday and I purchased another slime for my older daughter to do which was the only thing that she actually liked ( the older one I mean... the younger one had fun with everything). I will have to say, the girl who was working there, I wanna say that her name was Callie or something (sorry I forgot), was very helpful and made the slime fun for my daughter. She let my daughters choose the different colors and the sprinkles that went in. As long as my children enjoy it, that's literally all I care about. So even though I thought it was pretty small, and wish they had better seating, I will be coming back.

It appeared there was only one person working, and she could have used a little help. Nevertheless, she did a good job, and was helpful and friendly. It would be nice if there was just a little more room. But that didn't stop the kids from having a good time. The different areas were all a big hit, such as the food truck, the office, the vet area to name a few. The kids moved from one area to another with no issues and enjoyed them all.

For 1,5 hours we were able to go through entire place without any rush and issues. The fun part that register has scanning light and makes beeping noise. And they use reusable bags for shopping. Musical instruments are also available and they even have x-ray machine in doctors cabinet. 3 clean bathrooms on site and diaper changing room are available. My little one cried, she did not want to leave. I let her explore outside in outdoor kitchen. Toys are in a good condition and all is well organized and in order. Ticket cost is only $6 per person, makes it affordable to come as often as possible. Staff was very nice and helpful. I will definitely go back. For someone who gave only 1 star just for parking, I was able to park easily right in front of entrance on Wednesday afternoon. No problem. Even though plenty parking around the area. For someone who mentioned that staff was reminding to keep toys organized and in order, I was told only once when purchasing tickets and no reminders. Maybe because I was constantly behind kids and helping them to put everything back. Perfect time to teach them to clean up after themselves. If anything the mother who's kid was quite loud did not take any actions.

The price is definitely worth it. What I loved about this place (besides all the history) were the interactive exhibits. Listening to Sam Houston talked about the revolution and reading the declaration. Learning about what the pioneers had to endure and how they survived was eye opening. I can also see the value of taking the school children here. There is so much to learn and the activities for the kiddos is really cool. It was a nice stroll. What caught my attention at this museum was the lighted Declaration of Independence. It was so easy on the eyes! A great place to come if you want to spend time thoroughly examining the Declaration of Independence. The battles from the past mentioned here brought some parallels to our current climate and allowed for introspection through more understanding of what happened in the past in this big state of Texas. I particularly liked seeing the Hall of Fame defining and depicting the trailblazers with the Texas Spirit. The Texas Spirit was defined as a determined and independent spirit who take pride in blazing their own trails. One of those featured in the gallery was Governor Ann Richards. Having personally met her at a women's leadership conference moons ago, the memory of moments with her flooded back where she talked about how men were innately more like hunters and focused on one thing, whereas women were multi taskers and gatherers. It was nice to learn about the Texas spirit as well as learn something from history. The learning was to stay kind and learn humility as the video illustrated how Texas could have belonged to Mexico if the cards didn't stack the right way. The battles showed how current leaders could learn from history to create progress.
