It seems someone thought it would be a good idea to have all of the seats on stage. That would be fine, except the tickets I purchased on line indicated I had reserved seats. And, because the system would not allow me to leave a "single" seat, I actually purchased 5 seats even though there were only 4 of us attending the show. Because everyone was seated in the stage, seating was "first come first served". It appeared the friends and family of the cast had a heads up, because they all seemed to sit on the front row. The front row had an advantage due to the amount of the play conducted in the stage floor that was not visible to the rest of the audience. Compounding the viewing issue was the placement of a curtain/barrier that made it even more impossible to see the action on the floor from seating beyond the first row. In short, we enjoyed the show but were very disappointed in how the ticketing and seating was arranged. Had everyone been in the regular seats, there would not have been a need for the barrier and thus it would have been more enjoyable for this family.

I would give 5 stars, but as poster stated above the shows aren't always family friendly. What a shame! For this very reason we haven't attended a show at The Stage Theater for nearly a year. Their productions are seldom family friendly, and there is no good financial reason to produce productions that aren't presentable to everyone. Why marginalize families? The kids of today , and their future families, are your patrons of tomorrow, and you'd best reach them if you can. Plant a seed for the love of theatre in their hearts while they are young, and while they are impressionable. That can't happen if your shows aren't appropriate for their little hearts and minds. To each his own. *We are here at the theatre this very moment, and I'm typing this review during the intermission of A Christmas Carol. What a beautiful production. Bravo!

Parking was super easy - right across the street - and was FREE!!! Yup - that is right - NO FEE for parking for a show you are seeing on campus and literally right across the street! There is NO BEER OR BOOZE here so be forewarned. I understand it's a university campus so that might be the reason. Booze up before you head down to your show (or sneak some in, you ninja!). Also only vending machines reside on the first floor with no options for appetizers or wining & dining time. If sitting in the balcony (any of them) you may notice the sound not carrying all the way to your seats. We had a hard time hearing Jerry and the comedian who opened up for him. I wasn't sure if it was the sound system or if it was how far back we were in the top balcony. Either way, it was a struggle to hear some of the jokes in between the audience laughs and any commotion happening near our seats.

If I could give this place a zero. The owner and staff are tyrants and the staff member refused to…read moregive her name so we would not use it negativaley. But the owner wrote an untrue e-mail and her staff threw me under the bus and those were not the facts. I will never get a refund from her and I e-mailed her that I would pick up the check yesterday. The owner did not reply to my e-mail so I thought the check would be there but no I had to have an argument with one of the teachers and she refused to call the owner. The check has been lost in the mail since August 24th and now she says will refund my bank which would take 30-90 days but she wanted her money and refusing to give my money back in a timely manner. Plus I longer have that bank. In the e-mail it stated that I and my family member went into the rooms which was not true and there were other parents there and my child present that can attest to that. She said in the e-mail if we step on her property again that she is going to call the police but we never stepped inside the class room and apparently the dance teachers have a had problems in the past and now I can see why. Apparently either I will never get my $90 back and she stole or will get a lawyer involved. She told me it would take 30-90 day for the bank to refund my money and unfortunately since I had so much fraud on my account I had to switch bank accounts. I have all the e-mails that I have sent her and the replies or lack of replies that she sent. Ellen will not teach older children, and your child has to start at 4 or 5 years old otherwise she will not teach kids. She says dance is for everyone but that is not true. And how she conducts business or lack business is unacceptable. I would not recommend taking my children to your studio. She did not even help me to find another dance studio for my child or any recommendations since she canceled class the last day. And now I cannot pay my bills and have to wait another 3 months for a possible refund. This is unacceptable. She requires payment to keep your studio running but does not understand peoples live. All I asked was for the check to be there yesterday and I e-mailed her to say I have not received the check and to please have the check ready. She did not send a response, and I did not think there would be an issue. The lack of customer service and communication is unacceptable.

Me: is this where the club entrance is? He replied that we needed to speak in complete sentences and then demonstrated what a complete sentence was... super turn off - this guy is here for safety and security measures and to wish the guests a good time, but that was not the case. Extremely, extremely rude!
