Horrible customer service online and in this store location. I placed an online order for my mother to pick up, because we live in 2 different states and it was an extra 20% off to have it shipped to the store. Had I known they were going to give us a hard time picking up the package I wouldn't have shipped it here. Was told by the sales clerk and the manager that I had to call customer service to resolve the issue and of course they gave me a hard time as well. Sales clerk said I had to put my moms name on the order as an alternate. IF they would have mentioned this part on the app or had an "alternate pick up person" option to save the trouble I would've went another route. Horrible experience and this my first time ever buying something from this store. Never again! read more

I placed an order online for my niece in Chicago and when the order was received it was wrong. My sister lives in Chicago and drove out to Orland Park to exchange due to the wrong item was received. The manager told my sister it is an error from the warehouse and could not help her. All she wanted to do was to exchange the item for the correct leggings. Managers name is Lorensia. (Not sure of spelling of name)The worst customer service we have ever received from Children's Place. The manager was asked several times are you sure you can't help. She said no it's a warehouse error. Not sure how Children's Place error is our fault, but she wouldn't help. The receipt was with the exchange and it still wasn't good enough. I love The Children's Place because their jeans seem to be the only brand that fit my son well and they're a great price... however this store lacks customer service. I've been here multiple times (did not check in every time) and every time, the service gets worse and worse. The employees seem like they don't enjoy what they do and they're rude and unwelcoming. I always come in here with the hopes that this time it will be better than the last visit but it just seems to get worse. Also, I was charged $9.99 for my jeans when there's a sign saying denim is $7.99 and there's a sign on top of the denim promoting $9.99. So which is it? $2 is not a huge difference but if you're going to promote something, make sure your prices match. read more

The Children's Place - Children's Clothing Near Me - Orland Park, Illinois

When searching for fair priced children's clothing, it was suggested I try Children's Place. Satisfied with their selections, I have been to a few of them. However, the one in Orland Square Mall leaves much to be desired. The store setup is awful. There is absolutely no way to manage a stroller through the store. This is a major mistake that needs to be fixed as it is a CHILDREN'S clothing store. It can only be expected that one might have a stroller when shopping there. The place is absolutely full and I appreciate the high volume of content but it is very hard to manage finding what you want. The staff is clearly unhelpful as well. I have waited at the counter while they finish conversations and I have yet to see one of them help customers out on the floor. Given that I have been there 6-7 times, I think that is truly telling of their policies on customer service. I would stop shopping there if it weren't for their pretty reasonable sale items. However, I will no longer make the mistake of utilizing this particular store. read more

Patricia K. nailed it all in her review: cute items, good selection, terrible navigation. When my husband and I go shopping with the kids, we have one stroller, one wheelchair, and two kids on foot. Trying to weave in and out of displays with an umbrella stroller is ridiculous enough; forget about trying it out with a wheelchair. While I find the customer service is usually okay, I've never been blown away by the greatness of it all. I also think that, all things being considered equal, the prices are bit on the higher side. Would I shop here again? Sure, if I didn't have the kids in tow. And even then I would probably spend most of my time feeling sorry for the moms (and dads and grandmas, etc.) who are trying (in vain) to make way through the racks upon racks of ill-placed merchandise while wielding a stroller. read more

Two stars: one for the prices, the other for the cute clothes. Otherwise this place is terrible. The staff sucks. There were only two girls in there. No one asked if I needed help. I was only acknowledged because one girl begrudgingly moved so I could pass her with the stroller. When it came time to check out the one girl at the counter was processing a return. I was next. The line grew behind me. The girl at the counter eventually asked the other girl to come help her (she was doing something with the racks). The second girl walked up mumbled something about not wanting to use a register and walked away. With the line 4-5 deep and I had already been waiting over 10 minutes. So why didn't I just leave? The layout is the only thing worse than the staff. I couldn't leave. I was trapped. There's so many racks in there it is hard to navigate. It reminded me why I usually wear my son. Too bad they're horrible. I'll only ever return here if forced to. read more

This store is disgusting. The aisles are small, there are clothes everywhere, the staff is rude & ignorant (sales associates & manager included) and the return policy sucks. I will never shop at this Childrens Place or another based upon my most recent experience. read more

I stood in line for 15-20 behind one customer whom was buying about $200 worth of clothing when another customer stepped up and the cashier decided to take her before me when I told the cashier I was next in line she gave a funny smurk on her face and asked the employee behind her to ring up the other customer without apologizing or anything very poor customer service skill while chewing gum and smacking, I politely left all my children school clothes on the counter and walked out. I would never shop at that ghetto store again. read more

I went to this store to shop for my son. I found these cute shoes and pants but the shoes had these scuff marks and I asked the sales associate if a discount can be given. To my surprise, the sales associate rolled her eyes and sighed and looked at me with this are you serious face and then said she will ask someone in the back. As she was walking she was laughing (my family member saw her). And then immediately came back saying that nothing can be done as that's the way the shoe looks. So then as I was looking at other clothing, she was talking about me with another sales associate who turned out to be the manager. She immediately stopped and said, "Nevermind I'll tell you later." So then I told the sales associate why she had to be talking about me and what type of customer service was this?! I was shocked how rude she was when all I did was asking her a simple question that some people would ask! I felt I didn't have to pay full price for shoes with scuff marks but I was willing to get them if they would reduce the price. The manager apologized for the sales associate's attitude. So I threw the shoes on the counter and said that I was not going to purchase shoes from a store with poor customer service! After that the sales associate kept her attitude by saying that everything that I said is funny! Funny?! And she even asked how I knew she was laughing! I seriously don't think she should be in a customer service field especially in a children's store! I left so upset. I've never had a bad experience at a mall before. And to top if off, I live far away and thought I would stop by to do some shopping! Will NOT go to that store anymore! read more
