They had some cute children's bunting as we get closer to the winter months. They were having an "indoor sidewalk sale", with some of their items being up to 75% off--this included clothes, toys, books, and other items and knickknacks. They had some books and stuffed animals that complement the books, like the Little Blue Truck and Corduroy. I bought a cute little dress for the holidays for my daughter, as well as a lovely sweater for the upcoming season. Their children's stuff isn't cheap, but it's not unreasonable for an independent children's store. I was really thankful that I found a place that sells clothing for children--in this case, holiday wear in particular--that is machine washable, because oftentimes children's clothing is marked as dry clean only (whyyyy). There is street parking in this area which can be limited, but I think there's also a Metra stop half a block away from the store.

It is probably a good source for kids socks and underwear. It also had a sizable selection for little boys which is not always the case. At NO point, did either the store owner or worker ever use the terms "thank you" or "sorry". The owner actually said to me, "I want to figure this out so I can just be done." They made it seem like it was my fault that this happened and it took almost 2 months to resolve. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. (Although the rich, white women who shop there may have a different experience -- see the groupon reviews for more discrimination.) The stuff the sell is nice, but overpriced. The clothes only go up to 12months and everything you buy from there smells like the overpriced donuts they sell next door. Go elsewhere where people are kind and appreciate your business.

Majority of the store was girl clothes, but we were able to find some board books and part take in their bodysuit sale. We found a bunch of cute onesies for super cheap. We also looked around at their bassinets, and various nursery items to see if we could find things we didn't have and they were fairly priced. Overall, it was a decent experience. While waiting to check out, I saw the employees buying some of the items this family brought in. It was nice to know that they buy things gentle used and wash them before putting them on the floor for folks to purchase.

Instead of having staff help the 8 people waiting in line to check out they would rather have 2 out of the 3 people working behind registers help the lady with her returns, all 2-3 people were literally helping the one lady with the returns. I always see at least one walking a customer around to help find something. For example, I was in the shoe section, and the employee (older lady) was extremely patient, helping a customer identify a pair of shoes for pickle ball. Cashiers here are super friendly and will provide you with a coupon if you forget yours (when coupons are active) .
