This place is great. I was dining at the oyster bar part of the restaurant. I noticed that the grill brush they use to clean the grill was put on the floor after being used on the grill, and of course after I have already consumed the oysters. That is not sanitary at all. I asked for extra lemons and it came to me on a napkin. Don't get me wrong food was good, but after seeing that, it made me think. My mother has been in food service for 35 plus years, knows the rules and regulations of how a restaurant sanitation should be. If you guys don't want anyone getting sick, please make sure your cooks are wearing proper hair nets and Let them know that there are people dining in your establishment with many experiences and should take precautions on who is dining so they do not leave reviews like this one. read more

Saw the good reviews and wanted to see for myself. Based on my experience, I have a different opinion. The restaurant was busy but our wait time was approximately 15 minutes the first time. When we were called for seating, we were escorted to an outside table. Never my preference but we were not given an option. However, because of the amount of activity we were going to accept the seating until we got to the table. It was a high table with high seating. I told the hostess that because of my handicap I needed a regular table. Also, most of the high tables were not occupied so I don't think I was the only customer to not want to be seated there. The person rudely told me that I needed to go back inside and back into seating rotation. It took another 20 minutes before we were seated again. Food - The appetizer we ordered (stuffed mushrooms) was served without accompanying side plates and no amount of requests corrected this. Even when a waitress told us that it wasn't her table, but she would bring the plates, she didn't. So my sister and I decided to just share the serving dish because we were not getting individual plates. Salad was cold and crisp. Entree was served hot and the portion size was good. Everything had a good taste. Ambiance - The restaurant was clean. The noise level was so elevated that it was hard to talk to each other. Lunch was not a peaceful experience. Great atmosphere and decent food and drinks. Rating it 2 stars solely because the waitress made extra charges on our bill to steal over $50 from us. She decided to charge us for high end tequila for house margaritas we ordered. Never asked or informed us on this change until the bill came and we had to ask her. Supposedly, the regular tequila used was "out" but I was able to get the same tequila from the bar area and the bartender informed me it was their drink special that night. To put it simply, it's SYSCO distribution food with a fancy name. The atmosphere is great, it makes an awesome place to grab a bite, date night, celebration, whatever. It's well done. Service was good. The food? It's meh. You're never gonna be blown away, you'll never be utterly disappointed (slightly disappointed, at worst). The spinach dip tastes like salty cheese. The Bow tie pasta chips are cool (a bit of a gimmick) but don't have a satisfying mouth feel or use. Kinda hard, but kinda soft, it doesn't know what it wants to be. Raw oysters were very fresh and sizable. Burgers, again, were unremarkable. Definitely lacked seasoning. It's a "meh" for me. If someone wanted to go, I wouldn't scoff, but I definitely would never RECOMMEND it. You should totally catch a beer there, though. The bar is dope. Grade: 78 out of 100 read more

The salmon was perfectly cooked to my request of Medium. Large portion as well. Side of jambalaya was different flavor than I am used to, maybe they put a lot of Filé' in it, had a fragrant flavor and it hits hard initially but dissipates, it was ok. Had to get to go boxes since it was a lot of food. Everything was good, salmon was excellent. Nice price for so much. I will be back. Hopefully they will add a side of broccoli. I don't want the other veggies just the broccoli. Really appreciate the bartender apology, he seemed to mean it and it goes a long way. This was my first visit to the Chimes. The parking lot is huge and it's a good thing because on Friday at 6 PM the place was packed and there was a line to get in. Fortunately a friend got there early and saved us a seat in the patio room. I was a little concerned with the crowd that our service would be slow, but it was not. We had a very attentive waiter (Justin), who took our order for appetizers which came quickly. When everybody in our party was there, we ordered our meals and in short order we were served. The food was hot!!! The food was a little above average, but not any better than some of the other restaurants in the neighborhood. The restaurant itself is very rustic inside and noisy. This would be a great place to watch some sporting events. Lots of big screen TVs. There is a huge patio with a fireplace, but the weather was too wet for anybody to be out enjoying it. The prices were reasonable, and the menu had a large selection of different items ranging from appetizers to dessert. It was an enjoyable evening, and I would go back. read more

Sat in the bar area. Restaurant is new and nice inside. Service was just OK until an issue arose. My wife and I had to ask for a fork and napkin, not too big of a deal. I ordered a grilled salmon sandwich. It was cooked and prepared just fine however I had to pull bones out of it. Yes, bones, not just one. When I brought this up with an employee, I was told, "Don't all fish have bones". Not what I wanted to hear he took the plate and that was it.
