I have been to The Chocolate Crocodile so many times...I can't believe I haven't reviewed it before. Their truffles, apples, and other treats are absolutely awesome! I think It is a destination for chocolate covered strawberries, though. It is a clean store in Bridge Street, and they can move a line quickly. The only reason I can't give them five stars is because it is expensive. I really wanted to give them that fifth star, and they do offer a much appreciated veteran discount! Yum yum yum yum. I was looking for Dubai chocolate and this spot had them in the perfect size. They had milk and dark chocolate pieces that were so delicious. The gentleman greeted us and showed me where the Dubai chocolate treats were. They had caramel apples and many different chocolate treats to satisfy your sweet tooth. This past weekend I was able to check out this awesome place. The name alone got me to walk in and then I saw candy apples galore. They had all types of candy apples and it's too many to name but I ended up getting the Snickers Candy Apple and yall it was so good! They even slice it for you to make it easier for you to eat. They also had other things there like all different types of fudge, chocolate coated gram crackers, pretzels, and more! It would have made it even better if they had brownies to but I'm not complaining. I highly recommend people go check this place out and get just as excited as I was! read more

The chocolate covered s'mores, strawberries, and Oreos were absolutely magnificent. The fudge, however, was absolutely terrible. I was shocked because I have never tasted nasty fudge especially one that you pay so handsomely for. If you are a fudge lover, my advice stay at home and make your own. Pinterest has a better fudge recipe than they do. Additionally, the customer service is just subpar and delivers nothing special to the experience. I'd drive 30 minutes out the way for a chocolate shop with better fudge and customer service than travel less of a distance for what we got here at the Chocolate Crocodile. read more

I know the name is chocolate, but the best thing they have are the covered apples. I have a plain tongue, so my favorite is the caramel apples. They are the perfect mix of sweet and a pinch of sour from the apple. I've never felt so healthy eating a dessert! I've gotten 3 in the past 3 days. My boyfriend loves the blue one and the candied one. The chocolate is great also and they have a hundred different things covered in chocolate. Great store and staff. read more

I really love this place. When I lived in Huntsville, I would frequent this establishment quite often. Im absolutely in love with the monster apples. They are green apples with caramel, milk dark chocolate, white white drizzled on top with pecans. If that doesn't get your mouth watering, I dont know what will. Everyone is always super nice when I go to shop there. I also love their selection of truffles. Try their red velvet truffle if you get a chance. I got a chocolate covered pretzel (good combination of chocolate, crunch, and saltiness) and a couple of mixed nut chocolate "claws" (known to most as Turtles). Yum! I stopped by the Chocolate Crocodile on Friday, February 13th to buy Valentine's Day candy for my wife and daughters. Of course, the place was a zoo, since everyone in Huntsville also decided to go to the Chocolate Crocodile at the exact same time I did. I was perfectly prepared to be patient and understanding. Nevertheless, the kid who waited on me was rude and did a very sloppy job. He randomly crammed my wife's chocolates into a small white box (and this was the box I got after requesting a larger one than the tiny one he first pulled out). They were such a mess, I had to repack them myself before I could give them to my wife. He was also projecting a poor attitude. He probably hadn't been able to text message one of his friends or check his Facebook on his iPhone for 15 minutes and was suffering from withdrawals. I was visiting Huntsville and staying at the Westin, so I ventured out into the mall and spotted the Chocolate Crocodile. They were busy, being a Saturday afternoon, so I waited my turn until a sales person was available. From my first interaction with her, I felt I was wasting her time. She corrected me as to what I was ordering, which was Ok. I misspoke. Then she seemed irritated that I'd asked for a box. As I picked out the various truffles I wanted, I asked her what was in the white decadence. She had a look on her face that clearly said she didn't know. Her response, after a brief pause, was, "It's complicated." That was it. I attempted to joke with her to lighten her mood, telling her I'd evidently thrown her a curve ball, but no. Split a caramel apple with a friend. It was sooooo good! They sliced it up for us too. I like the box it comes in. It would make a nice present. There's a window in the box on one side and they punched a hole for the stick to poke through. I guess everyone gave them a 3 rating too because it was yummy, but nothing too special and some people had occasional comments of rude servers or a dirty truffle case, but not me. Very good assortment of chocolates. Brandi and Sebastien and Trae loved the cinnamon apples. I tried the white chocolate peanut butter cups, which I found to be too white chocolate-ey. Prices were comparable to a Godiva store. They run specials and have coupons but we didn't use any because we just discovered this place. When we asked about when they would make more fudge, both the young ladies acted dumb and said they didn't know but "maybe in a week." Doubt we'll ever return.
