I came by here earlier this week to grab a couple of treats. This cute little shop is located on Main Street in Madison, so it has a fun historic/downtown vibe. The outside of the shop advertises all the goodies inside. It kind of reminds me of a candy store you might find in a resort/tourist town like Pensacola Beach or Gatlinburg: fudge, popcorn, candy apples, lots of different kinds of confections. A bell rang as I walked in and someone came out to serve me right away. He was pleasant and eager to share with me all about their products. He offered me samples of all the popcorn and fudge and also told me about their loyalty program and their monthly drawings. One thing I really liked was they had a lot of popular treats (turtles, chocolate covered graham crackers, chocolate covered Oreos, etc) each available in all the different varieties of chocolate (i.e. milk, dark, and white chocolate). They also have turtles made with cashews, as well as the traditional pecan. I got a dark chocolate cashew turtle for my mom, a regular milk chocolate pecan turtle for me, milk chocolate covered graham crackers for my husband, and a bag of cheddar cheese popcorn. I don't remember the total off the top of my head, but I do remember feeling it was a touch on the pricy side. Each item was wrapped nicely. Mom enjoyed her treat and so did husband. He was nice enough to give me one of the graham crackers and it was very good! Nice ratio of chocolate to graham and the chocolate was super nice and creamy. I still haven't gotten around to my chocolate but I imagine it will be similarly tasty. Haven't yet met a turtle I didn't like. The cheddar popcorn was just alright. I thought the cheese flavor was a little too artificial for my preferences, and some of the popcorn was a tiny bit stale, though none of it was unpleasant enough to keep me from eating it, lol. The Zion Gourmet Popcorn shop is located in downtown Madison along with other restaurants, bars, and shops. They used to be located in a service station on Jeff Road, but recently moved to the downtown Madison location. The owners are super friendly and provide samples of everything. I bought a 1 lb can of caramel popcorn and smaller bag of Cajun popcorn. Everything was good, but the prices are a little high. read more

Friendly but completely unreliable. Placed a small order 3 days before a birthday with nothing but assurances it would be ready. Called on day of given pick up and was told they didn't get to it because another order came in but would have it next day. Called following day and apparently another order came in which pushed ours back. Figured we could wait for the day after the birthday but yet again they didn't get to it. Each time was assured it was going to be done... each time pushed back because some business order came in. The people are very friendly but this doesn't mean anything when you can't produce. If you are a larger business making an order you should be safe, but as an individual I am guessing it is hit or miss. read more

I was checking out old town Madison visiting my local pet store animal trax, I took a stroll past the local brewery and antique shops where I saw a shop across from the Main Street cafe that had been previously called the whistle stop I think, the signs in the window advertised popcorn, gelato, all kinds of candies and fudge fudge you say, I had to check it out. I walked in and took in all the marvelous sweetened sights gourmet popcorn in all kinds of flavors, Carmel apples, gelato galore, truffles, turtles and of course fudge my achilles heel I had to try some. I tried the butter scotch, chocolate, cookies and cream, vanilla, and peanut butter. All of the fudge was awesome and took me back to when I first had homemade fudge as a child, it was smooth and creamy with that flavor of unprocessed real ingredients, without the cheap chemical after taste which is so prevalent theses days. I getting long winded here, but I had to download this app again just to let the world know, I found my fudge fix spot!! also the service was exceptional and I even took home with my bag of fudge three bags of the gourmet popcorn, cheddar, white cheddar and caramel, which I enjoyed as well. read more

The employees are friendly and the store is beautifully designed the fudge is divine my favorite for the popcorn is the mix gourmet popcorn. I will definitely be coming back to buy more things. Well I will be making orders online. I give this place a five times up ... I know were I will be shopping for Christmas gifts @ Zion's popcorn!!! read more
