We did takeout at this restaurant. We ordered and paid online. It was easy to add or remove things from your sandwiches. Very easy process. Went inside and grabbed our bag upon arriving. Sandwiches were delicious. I'm not a sandwich gal. Hate Mayo (I know, I'm weird). I split the Sicilian with Husband and it was fantastic. Lots of meat. A nice Italian sauce. Oh, and the bread, crusty, fresh...yummy. The bread makes the sandwich. Great stop.

Delicious ice cream, tried a double scoop of both types of chocolates. They are sold by weight (unusual concept. But a good one!), prompt service. Spic store. Recommended

This is usually my favorite sub place, but not today. I was looking to have a hot beef with peppers and onions to simulate Illy cheesesteak, but this didn't work at all. The onions were raw and not grilled. Perhaps I needed to ask if they could do such a thing, I do like the toppings you can put on yourself like olives, giardinera, pickles for those who like those things. Having had Dortoni ice cream, this just tasted like ice cream with maraschino cherries.

i was on the way to madison and decided to stop here for a quick sweet treat. i had their buffalo chicken sub first and it was okay. pretty bland but the buffalo sauce was tasty. then, got in line for some ice cream and i landed on the coconut almond bliss, which is a coconut based ice cream (or added coconut flavoring) with almonds and chocolate chunks. this was exactly what i was looking for and it was so tasty. they have a ton of flavors with different combinations, but this was the simplest one that i Loved

Everyone here is so nice! Their service was great. The food is also pretty nice, I had the vegetarian croissant sandwich, and it was filling without being too much. I like their "special mayonnaise" and the croissant bun was really nice. The restaurant itself also has a very welcoming vibe, the color palette used and other decor elements are a tiny bit vintage while still remaining fresh. I had Oh My Goodness and Zanzibar Chocolate for ice cream and they were both great. I really loved Oh My Goodness. Pricing the ice cream by weight is an interesting choice but makes sense. The thing that sells this location is the beach across the street. My friend and I were lucky enough to be here at sunset with an amazing view of the sky from the shoreline. If you go here, maybe go around early evening to experience that as well. Overall, it's not a place I would die for, but I enjoyed myself and I would totally recommend this place if you find yourself in Pewaukee :-)

One with cheese and one without? Guess which is worth the upcharge for cheese?!

Looking for a light outside lunch on a sunny day we tried The Chocolate Factory for the first time. We stepped in and waited in line only to find out after a few minutes we were in the wrong one. We stepped over to the registers and ordered 2 hotdogs, (which came with chips,) one with cheese, and ordered 2 drinks. When the food was ready we were handed baskets of the hot dogs but no cups or chips; I guess we were to grab them in the previous area. The mature woman yelled to the staff in the other area to remember to hand out the cups (she was less than friendly to us or the other staff.) When we looked at the hot dogs I mentioned that I had ordered mine with cheese and she snapped at me and said it was there. She picked up the hotdog and there was a skinny little line of something yellow smeared on the bun. ( Enjoy the photos of this exchange.) I asked her if that was all I was getting and she said yes and nothing more. To say I was disappointed to have been charged an extra dollar for this joke is an understatement. But the dogs were large and I was hoping all would be ok. Nope, the taste was blah and rather salty. No taste at all of the supposed cheese. And on top of that the soda fountain Pepsi needed to be mixed right and had little flavor. We will not be back as this first experience was not friendly or tasty. Maybe their ice cream is better. I'll never find out.

It's pretty good sandwich and ice cream shop. It's a sandwich shop that is better than subway or nationwide chain shop but not the best I've had. The location is beautiful with the pewaukee beach right across the street. I do like how they have a station where you can add spices to your sandwich. The tuna sandwich is pretty good quality but is it really worth 7.50$ for a 7 inch sandwich? I don't think it's good bang for your buck but they should let us pick what toppings we want with the protein we choose like potbelly's sandwich shop does. The ice cream is pretty good but not better than average and it is fair prices for what you get.

We stop here for dinner whenever we visit Pewaukee. (It's not a candy store, as the name implies.) Right across the street from the water, it is a convenient place to get a tasty sub, fresh salad, or mouth-watering ice cream. We've had the delicious roast beef, turkey, and ham and cheese subs made with their fresh, lightly-crusted, Italian sub rolls. The oregano gives them a unique, pleasant flavor. And of course we get their delicious ice cream that comes in many flavors, such as Moose Tracks or Strawberry Cheesecake. Parking is on the street or at their spacious lot in the back. We look forward to our next meal there!

Wonderful place to come for a delicious sweet treat! Came here after school with my son. Had the electric watermelon Italian ice and kitty kitty bang bang. A sweat candy taste with a touch of sour candy flavor to it. Yum! Clean tables and friendly service. A little slow on a Thursday afternoon with spectacular views of the sunset over the lake.

The place looks and feels very homey, like a small restaurant would look like in Germany. Sure, if you are expecting a Pretzel with Beer Cheese dip (No true German would EVER!!!) it might not be the place for you.... BUT: The Schnitzels are nice and thin and breaded just right, exactly how they are SUPPOSED to be. The authentic German Curry Ketchup was SO GOOD, I will go back and buy a whole bottle! The home made Spaetzle with the Jaeger Sauce were AMAZING, and my friend had a Curry-Wurst, that looked exactly what it would look like in Berlin, Germany, eaten as street food (cut up into pieces, yes, that's how it is eaten in Germany!) We were waiting for the last dish to arrive and our server took it to the wrong table, collected it from the wrong table and tried serving it to us after it was touched by someone else! So, terrible service. To top it off the food just sucks. Tiny portions that are overpriced. Not authentic German, not even close. The schnitzel were absolutely tiny and paper thin, you could barely even notice it was meat. For $15 you get two puny schnitzels and a tiny bowl of potato salad. During our time there at least 5 tables came in, sat and left not even getting drinks.

All three of them ended up ordering plain cheeseburgers with fries for an up charge. With my fish fry I got potato pancakes. My wife also ordered garlic cheese bread for her and the kids to share. The garlic cheese bread was fine. The order consisted of two thick pieces of Texas toast with a lot of cheese. The small bite I tried didn't have much garlic flavor, but it was good. All three of them liked their burgers and the bite I tried led me to concur. The patties had noticeable amounts of both seasoning and char flavor, but not an overwhelming amount of either. They all said they'd get the burger again. The fries looked hand cut, but I'd be surprised if they do that in house. Like the burger, the fries had just the right amount of seasoning on them. The fish was great. The breading was very crispy and the pieces were decent size. The potato pancakes were more like hash brown patties that had some onion flavor and I liked that. Mugshotz is definitely bar first, grill second. There were only four tables outside the bar area and the bar area was packed and loud. I didn't see anyone waiting tables for the first 20 minutes I was there, but once we were waited on and they did an ok job checking in. Food took a little longer than expected given how few tables they had, but I assume the kitchen is just as small. The menu is outdated; both the cheeseburger and up charge for fries cost a $1 more than what's on the menu.

What I'm assuming was a "manager" that came out, letting us know that our gift certificates were no longer valid, and it was posted on their front door. Unfortunately this was our first time to the Butler Inn, so we never saw the 8.5x11 sheet of paper stapled to an interior wall, saying that effective June 1st gift certificates are no longer valid. June 10th was our anniversary, so we had just missed the "cut off." Her suggestion was to call Louie if I knew him, who the heck is Louie.
