First time at scratch and it was a great experience! With a number of flavors to choose from there's something to satisfy everyone's sweet tooth, including vegan flavors. I could've chosen a few the day I went in but went with my favorite type of ice cream- made with cold brew. A small size was more than enough for me (and bigger than I was expecting tbh) with a perfectly balanced coffee flavor. Definitely for those who appreciate coffee and I loved every bite! Staff was welcoming & quick to serve us. There is plenty of seating inside and outside of the store too. Prices are comparable to other ice cream establishments around the area. I've never been compelled to leave a review for Scratch even though I've been here often, but I am correcting that today. I walked in on this particular Saturday night and were greeted by the friendly staff and a nice selection of hand made ice creams, both dairy and vegan flavors . This evening had me trying the s'mores, which was creamy and smooth and delivered all the classic flavors of s'mores. Pricing is comparable to both area custard stands and is a good value for the amount served. I'm a huge fan of supporting local businesses and will definitely be back to try the other flavors. read more

We talked about a waffle cone and then two scoops and the best part was the guy behind the counter scooping ice cream recommended we get two different flavors which was a run for me. The ice cream is okay, but not the best you can get in the area and they also don't have as many unique and fun flavors as I was hoping. It is also pretty expensive for what you get. Not sure who is buying a gallon of ice cream for $27.99 these days and even your standard cone was up there in price. My first time here its on the corner next to pick n save. It has a few booths and a couple tables outside. I first tried scratch ice cream at a west allis street fest and I loved it so when they opened up a shop I was happy to oblige and go. They have a good assortment of ice cream flavors to choose from two cases worth and pints to go. The staff was friendly and you can ask to sample flavors before you commit to it. I had Blueberry cheesecake scoop in a dish the ice cream was cheesecake flavor and nice swirls of sauce and blueberries mixed into it. Yeah I kinda would have liked chunks of cheesecake but this was rich and creamy and it helped my ice cream fix. I'm definitely going back and trying different flavors. read more

Looking for dessert, a quick search led us to Scratch. There were plenty of options & quick service but the big surprise came in the form of their waffle cone. I'm not usually a fan, but seeing someone else's order, I threw caution to the wind & heard the words "waffle cone" come out of my mouth. Came here Friday night on a whim. Love scratch ice cream. I was excited to see they opened a new location with proper seating and all. My 4yr old always wants the sprinkle ice cream and/or the blue one. They now carry these $1 tiny cups and it was perfectttt for him. Usually his dad ends up sharing and this time he didn't have to! THIS PLACE IS SO YUMMY. They change out the flavors pretty often. Salted caramel waffle cone goes crazy. Portions are big but maybe a little on the expensive side.
