Well I decided to buy goodies for my coworkers. I stopped by on a Thursday morning around 6 am. I walked in to a little slice of heaven, lots of pastries to choose from. As i walked in a man was coming up with a tray full of bread. From what my coworker had said and from the reviews I read, I expected someone to smile and say good morning. I got neither. Kind of disappointed. I bought conchas, a croissant and a sugar cookie looking pastry. I can honestly say that I forgive the rude man with the mustache, those were the best conchas ever!!! And when it comes to avocado toast, there is so much opportunity for good citrus flavor, salt, herbs, etc.. Servers were all super nice and engaging. I could tell this was a place where the regulars come often and the staff knows them well. I got my OJ and my friend got her coffee. Juice tasted pretty fresh, but I admit I wish it had a little pulp. Right away we headed up to the buffet line and it was so amazing. Herb and cheese frittata, thick cut bacon, thick sausage patties, cheesy hash browns, banana bread French toast, biscuits, sausage gravy, Caprese salad, cinnamon rolls, raspberry brownies, fruit salad, almond poppyseed scones, chocolate chip cookies... Everything I tried was excellent. The bacon and sausage were so full of flavor and as I mentioned they were thick, nothing wimpy about this breakfast meat. The French toast really had that nice banana and cinnamon flavor going. Cheeses added richness to the shredded hash brown potatoes. That cinnamon roll was so flaky. I even took some the buttercream frosting on top and spooned it on the French toast bake and that only made it even more amazing. I almost felt sorry for the fruit salad of blueberries, red grapes, and honeydew! 23 dollars was a pretty solid deal, especially since it was unlimited portions.
