Sunday brunching oh do I love brunch! Ginger and soul is such a cute quite place. It's located downtown Yorkville along the Fox river. For one flat price approx 12 per person you can enjoy an all you can eat brunch and drinks are separate coffee, tea, juices, or cocktails. They offer a good spread of cheesy potatoes, eggs Benedict, frittata, bacon, sausage patties, fresh fruit, French toast, cinnamon rolls, biscuits and gravy, muffins, macaroons, cookies, brownies, and self serve coffee and teas. It is a small place, but the staff is friendly and nice. When we got there they were busy so we had a wait of about 20 mins. Overall I'd recommend ginger and soul for brunch and try them again. Oh and I heard they now serve dinner too.

Great place for a lovely Sunday brunch right along the river. Delicious breakfast food and selection of sweets! Excellent brunch drink menu with half bottle mimosas. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!

Yummyyyy!!! This place has been on my list try for months and it did not disappoint. It's super cute and cozy inside that's so inviting, although that does also equate with limited seating. Luckily we didn't have to wait too long but it was worth it. There was a good amount of food to choose from or if you're like me, don't choose and try some of everything. Special shout out to the baked French toast and bacon twists, whatever you want to call them. Not sure how twisting bacon makes it more delicious but it does. I like that they also change the menu up so you can try different things each time. And for the price, it can't be beat. Fantastic brunch spot.

Reached out to Ginger & Soul for their cupcakes and macaroons to make our Daughter's (Becka) and new Son in Law's (Shane) Happily Ever After Party a sweet success. After reading their catering menu, we also chose to add in cheesy potatoes and a pasta salad for our sides around our pig roast. What a treasure we have here in Yorkville! We knew the cupcakes and macroons would blow everyone's socks off (which they did in spades), however, the sides got just as many accolades. We were very happy with everything. I highly recommend this business and have shared their name with a variety of our guests.

What an amazing find!! I could not believe that this amazing little gem is located so close to me. It's right in the fox river in downtown Yorkville. My husband and I went for brunch today and what a pleasant surprise. We showed up without a reservation and were lucky enough to score a table in the outside patio area that over looks the fox river. Their menu is not very big but all of the offerings for both breakfast and lunch sounded fantastic. I went with the chilaquiles. They were very good and had the right amount of kick in the sauce. I wish they had offered a version with shredded chicken cause it would have made it that much better. My husband had the omelette if the day and the cheesy hash browns. I did not sample the omelette but he said it was good. I did try the hash browns and they were delicious!!! To make things even better their cocktails were fantastic. We ordered bloodys and they were good. The real show stoppers were the spiked latte and the dreamsicle mimosa. Yummmmm I could have sat there and drank mimosa after mimosa. Fantastic food, great service, delicious food and drinks and a lovely patio. It was the perfect start to my Sunday. I plan on returning sooner than later.

Small, intimate space. Inviting, warm decor. In town visiting family and my sister brought us here for brunch. Very impressed. Food was scrumptious. Loved the thoughtful selection of condiments(hot honey, truff hotsauce, etc.) French toast casserole that was an elevated version of what I've had elsewhere. Homemade pastries, including a pumpkin croissant. Orzo salad that was phenomenal. Too bad I don't get back to the area very often, I live 5 hours away. Definitely recommend to anyone and plan to come back next time I'm in town.

First visit today for brunch. We absolutely loved it. So quaint, cute decor and great food. Brunch consisted of egg frittata, amazing crisp bacon, delicious perfectly spiced and cooked sausage patties, incredible cheesy potatoes, French toast, and biscuits with sausage gravy. Eggs to order was also available so I had some scrambled whipped up for me. Nice choices of adult breakfast beverages along with coffee and tea. Desserts are also delicious and today's choices were Macaroons, scones, cupcakes and oatmeal moon pies!!! But the gigantic delicious cinnamon rolls were something not to miss. Can't wait to go back. Looking forward to trying dinner next time.

I would really like to keep this place a secret and not tell anyone, but I also want them to survive as a business. I LOVE this place! It is so difficult to find a place where the food is excellent because the person behind the food has a passion for creating the most delectable items. This is the cutest place, but it is hidden behind an ice cream shop and next to a bbq joint. Don't let the flat, one story building turn you off. Inside opens to a great shabby, rustic interior with chalkboard walls, a piano turned into a bar cart, and homey tables. Kate is the chef here and she is amazing. They serve Sunday brunch which is fabulous. In January, they started serving dinners on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. We finally made our way there one night and it was so worth it. I started out with the beet salad. This was the most delicious salad. It had roasted beets, arugula, golden raisins, and cashew cheese (that Kate makes). The flavors were so complimentary. My husband even tried it (he does not like beets) and was talking about it the next day. He had the soup which was a broccoli cheddar. Also, tasty. The bread they serve was so good. Chewy and large rolls. Kim, the server, asked if we wanted more and I really, really did, but I would've had to crawl out of there with my belly dragging on the ground. For my entree, I had the short ribs. These were rich and flavorful and the richness was countered by the creamy bed of polenta. My husband had a pasta with heirloom tomato sauce and a meatball. He loved it. He said the meatball was not what he was expecting and, probably, not what anyone would expect. It was like a cross between a meatball and a dumpling. The texture was very different from your usual meatball, but it was delicious. For dessert, we shared a lemon coconut cupcake which had an icing that I was expecting to be overly sweet, but, nope. It was perfect frosting. Kate makes the desserts as well. I can honestly say, of all the restaurants I have reviewed on Yelp, this is my favorite so far. I wish I lived closer and could get there more often, but it is well worth the trip!

We got the cheese curds, prolly the best I've ever had, but definitely have to order more than one order because they don't give you much... the Cesar salad was decent, but the French onion soup is a must! For entrees my kids got the cheese ravioli and burger. They loved both, fries were just plain. Adults, pot roast which was really good, house burger, also really good. My husband got the short rib risotto, he said was good but would have been better if they didn't smother it with the gravy, that it took away from the risotto. I got the tortellini which was really good, just needing more sauce. Dessert was on point though! Got the cream brûlée, hazelnut ice cream, chocolate cake, and dessert coffee.

The staff was extremely friendly and they were accommodating to us when we asked to move seats to a quieter area. The owner of the restaurant even came over to talk to us several times. The bread that is served at the beginning of the meal is seriously so good and they provide both a sweet and a savory option. The sushi was also amazing, I would absolutely come back here for the sushi. The flatbread however was not cooked enough so it wasn't very warm or crispy. The pasta sauce had good flavor but the noodles were a bit under cooked. I think the food here is pretty good, but it does seem a bit overpriced.
