I have had avocado toast all of this country - sort of a go to for a light breakfast before one of my trainings. And, as far as avocado toast goes, this one was just okay. Fairly bland, despite there being an herb pesto-type sauce on it and some "half-dried" tomatoes. And when it comes to avocado toast, there is so much opportunity for good citrus flavor, salt, herbs, etc.. So, good cup of coffee, and hopefully some other good things on the menu - I only tried the avocado toast. Good folks, worth another try if I'm in town again.

They were going to serve this with water and coffee. To sit 40 people for two hours cost $1700. This was far too much food for 40 people. Though the single scoop of ice cream for a plate cleanser was appreciated. We asked for coffee as it wasn't ready at the time that people were arriving and it was provided. We asked for soda for some variety and they said that they could do so for an additional $2/head. We did so. Bad: When the meal was done we had over half of it left. When we went to see about taking the food with us they had thrown it away. The company said that it was a law that caterers couldn't give out the food. My aunt who ran a similar business in the state of Illinois said she would sign a waiver. The manager said it is against the FDA laws and refused to even just simply state it was the restaurants policy. When my aunt pushed on losing the second half of the food that was paid for they merely gave her three buffet tickets. For the lost of several hundred dollars of food they offset it by three $17.95 tickets. If you are socially conscious about food waste as our family is, only order two trays and a side for 40 people. It is better to leave hungry than to feel the food is simply thrown away. Ways to Improve: Being told this upfront at the time of hosting is important. It will make sure the right amount of food is ordered and dozens of people are not left wondering what happened with the leftovers. The place was clean and so I applaud that.

The room is nicely decorated, small and intimate. The food and wine pairings we were offered were amazing. My favorite wine was the 2021 Caymus-Suisin Grand Durif Petite Syrah. The chef and sous chefs presented an exceptional five-course meal. Each course was delicious. The 1st course was a tater tot waffle with caviar and sorrel crème fraîche. The 2nd course was a pear and fig salad with chioggia beet dressed with fish caramel vinaigrette. The 3rd course was hong shao rou with bok choy. Course 4 was a petite fillet with sauce Diane and mashed potatoes. The final course was a deconstructed dessert, a blueberry compote with puff pastry and vanilla icing. With the first bite of that waffle with caviar and salmon roe, I knew that I was in for a culinary adventure. So good! Upon arrival, I immediately notified our server that I could not have any nuts or seeds, yet the salad came out with walnuts that I had to take the time to hand pick them out of the salad course. The staff needs to take extra care when a participant at the dinner notifies them of a dietary restriction. Also, the volume of noise in the room is extremely high. We were sat at a long shared table in the middle of the room so that may have made a difference because when we went to another wine dinner we were sat at a four top along the side and found it less noisy.
