The inside is cozy but modern, with a huge menu and coffee drinks made with homemade syrups and toppings. This place was packed at 8:45 AM, but I was still able to grab everything I had my eye on. Today's lineup: the strawberry lime scone, white chocolate pistachio brioche, and a peanut butter chocolate chip cookie. The brioche was easily one of the best sweets I've ever had, it was fluffy, not overly sweet, and perfectly balanced by the pistachio. If they have this, I'm ordering it every single time. Me and my wife recently stopped here to see what this place offers. It's best to come here in the morning because everything is fresh. It's a very popular place in the area so baked items get sold out easily. They got vegan items as well. I was interested in one of their smoothies and when I received it it was mostly ice. Great interior decorating and it's got a nice deck outside so you can enjoy your time here outside. Overall, I thought it was a solid place to check out. read more

Food is tasty but prices are insane. I stopped in for a breakfast sandwich (bacon egg and cheese in a croissant) and it cost $14.77. The independent business down the street costs $6.80. This place is so amazingly cute and tasty! The outsider sign with the cat is a beacon. We went last sunday and the staff was so friendly, knowledgeable and lead us through the many offerings. Those crcroissants we to die for...so buttery and the layers!! Oh my! The chocolate banana bread was the right aamount of chocolate and banana. The Cafe has its a charming and inviting feel. Was excited to try but dissappointed. I got two cookies. Wasn't much of a choice but I understand it was later in the day. I got one large and thick oatmeal raisin cookie. It was good but some parts of the cookie dough looked raw and not cooked at all. Maybe it was supposed to be that way? There was also a cute jar of very small sugar cookies, iced in orange frosting and sprinkles. This cookie was the size of a mason jar lid. I love a good sugar cookie but when I bit into it, it was as hard as a rock. I'll put it in the microwave when I get home and see if I can soften it up a bit. Both cookies came to almost 10 dollars! When I moved into town, this place was definitely on my list to check out and I was NOT DISAPPOINTED! First, the aesthetic and decor are adorable! I absolutely love the mural outside and the inside artwork, tables, and plants are a great touch. There is even a section you can buy artwork and other homemade goods. Second, and most important, the baked goods are fabulous. After reading the comments below, I was disappointed to see some commented on lack of items. You have to arrive EARLY and you will find a wide variety of choices. This is a homemade bakery that sells out quickly. Items are baked daily (not to mention the prep to make these items multiple days before). You know what you're getting is super fresh. We tried Little Loaf when they first opened and our experience lacked customer service. We weren't greeted and we were given no direction on how to order. It was brand new, lots of people and not a typical line for ordering. Fast forward to now... I really wanted to try it again after following updates on Facebook. Today we walked in and I greeted the staff and asked how they are doing. It felt like we were not supposed to be in there, or wanted as customers. The older lady who was behind the counter didn't even respond to me asking how she's doing... silence. I thought the first time was a new business fluke. stumbled upon this place randomly and i am so glad i pulled in. such a homey little coffee shop. the shop is adorably animal themed, and the patio is pet friendly. the pastries were delicious and the drink menu is amazing, with both espresso and alcoholic options. the only thing that was missed was a friendly, coffeehouse vibe, as the service was subpar. the baristas were by no means rude, but the service did not stand out to me at all. read more

Cute place right by town square. They've opened up more days/hours so that is nice. I have had some pastries and breakfast sandwiches there. The food has always been good. I started to get excited months ago when I noticed the little sign by this house on a corner: Little Loaf Bakehouse coming soon! My interest only grew when the mural was being painted--food and cats? Clearly, my kind of place. But the first time I dropped by, I was disappointed because they didn't have anything on display in the surprisingly small case; the only options I saw were drinks, a few sad biscotti, and yogurt parfaits. Worse, the staff (3 people) completely ignored me when I walked in. I absolutely don't want fanfare, it's just weird when it's dead inside and the people behind the counter don't acknowledge someone walking in. It made me feel awkward and unwelcome. I didn't bother perusing the menu, I just left. That said: the bakehouse is very new so I figured they're probably working things out. I decided to come back later and reserve judgment. That's exactly what I did--I dropped by early morning another day and it was a completely different vibe. There were other customers, the staff were bustling, and (to my excitement) there were pastries! They don't limit their goods to the case, it overflows over the counter. I ended up choosing a simple ham and cheese croissant for myself and a chocolate one for my daughter, figuring those were safe bets. Truly, they were comparable to ones I've had while visiting Paris. Flaky and flavorful, they were absolutely worth the return trip. There's really not much more I can say: they're very good! I'll likely return to try more. There were some interesting, funky looking options I'd have liked to explore, but I enjoy perusing and the atmosphere felt more rushed than I expected; I was anxious to order and skedaddle. So here are my tips for a better experience: go earlier (better selection & vibes) if you want baked goods, check the Facebook to confirm hours, have an idea of what you want, and don't expect bread--apparently, they're going to start selling bread on a preorder basis in February. read more

I've been here twice now and I do not understand all the five star reviews left. Both times the pastries I've tried have been dry. I believe this is due to them sitting out in the open air behind the counter or maybe they are not freshly baked, not sure. But when you're spending almost $30 for three pastries, you want them to be fresh. After microwaving them and softening them a bit, they are decent but nothing to write home about. I hope this is something they can work on because I truly want to like this place. The building is super cute and the patio seems like a nice place to sit and have coffee in the summer time. The coffee was definitely a hit and the only reason I will be going back. The latte tasted like it was made with freshly ground beans, much less acidic than Starbucks. If they can figure out a way to make the pastries fresh then this place would get a 5/5. read more

After driving past here for close to a year watching construction workers turn an old corner house on a busy street to a bakery brunch spot, I decided after dropping my kids off at school to check this place out. When I parked in the parking lot and started up the ramp, it seemed like it was the entrance to the kitchen, so because of the unshoveled sidewalk to the front entrance, I reparked onto the street. Once I walked towards the door, a woman came out with a small pink box and a hot steaming cup of coffee. I was impressed by the cute packaging and couldn't wait for my takeout order. When I walked in, I noticed I could have gone in through the back door and will in the future. The shop was pretty small with only about 4 tables and a bakery counter encased in glass. I was greeted upon entering and was given adequate time to order. It took a little while to prepare my breakfast sandwich, but only a minute to get the vegetable and cheese croissant. The breakfast sandwiches are $11, using in-house made biscuits or croissants, and egg, cheddar cheese, and your choice of locally sourced jam or hot sauce. I'm a hot sauce person, so I checked out the inside ambience while I was waiting. They built in a glass garage door so in the summer they can extend the guest eat-in experience with an open air concept. Looking forward to that. The restroom is really nicely decorated and clean. When my sandwich was ready, it wasn't in a pink box, nor was the pastry. Brown cardboard to-go box for sandwich and brown paper bag for pastry. I was left wondering what was in the cute pink box the lady left with! The sandwich was very good. The bacon they used was smoked to perfection! The biscuit was delicious! My child had the croissant and they loved it. It was crispy buttery layers outside and warm and gooey inside. I did have to warm it up myself. They don't heat it up for you (unless you ask I can only assume, but didn't know this as it was my first visit and that wasn't communicated.) come check the shop out! read more

Wow, this place is so great. Inside the vibe is unique and inviting. There's enough seating to snack on your pastries inside & although it's December now, there's a large patio outside with tables and chairs too. All 4 people working were friendly and helpful. We were looking for a gluten free & also dairy free item for my daughter but none were available at the time, no worries tho - we will be back another time for that. A simple greeting or a smile would go a long way. I never knew this is what Yorkville needed until it opened. The owner of this bakery does an incredible job offering a wide variety of cookies, muffins, scones, croissants, and sandwiches for both breakfast and lunch. The flavors rotate which causes me to visit twice a week to make sure I get a sample of everything offered! The lattes are made with in-house created syrups. My favorite is a lavender London Fog latte, but you also cannot go wrong with whatever coffee special they have that week! I cannot wait for warmer weather so I can enjoy my pastry or breakfast sandwich and coffee outside in the gorgeous sunshine.
