I accepted and they started the process of working with my digital files to prepare a digital proof. Once the owner caught wind that my quantities were lower, she got pissy with me on the phone telling me they have a minimum quantity for orders and that I should have been told. Well, I wasn't told anything like that. I said fine, but now I've lost a full week going back and forth with them regarding art size. She said fine, agreed to proceed. But then I receive a bill the next day. She wanted me to prepay before they run them. I said I don't think I want to pay for a product before I see the product. She once again got pissy, rude, cursed at me and said "Your order is cancelled". So I cursed back and that was that. Btw... that Graham Hoffman Charity thing resulted in a ton of angry customers too... now I know why. It's not because it took them a while to get their shirts, it's because the owner was rude to them!

There are tons of fancy pens and hand-painted, recycled-paper journals. I droll over all of their carefully curated candles and unique perfumes. This is not a cheap place to shop for a gift, but it's worth it! The recipient of the gift will feel so special and artsy. There is usually plenty of parking on the streets of the West Bottoms, unless it's a First Friday weekend - then expect to have to stroll a far distance, but Hammerpress is located conveniently close to some of my favorite antique shops.

As a college student I'd look forward to an excuse to trek to KCMO from Lawrence to shop here and pick up some local goodies. They've been doing this so long, you could probably even make an argument that they were kind of the original shop local spot here in the city. Flash forward and Hammerpress has migrated from their OG location to further down SW BLVD, and now to this new spot in the heart of the West Bottoms. It had been a while since I visited so I wasn't sure where they had moved to, but it seems fitting that they'd end up in the West Bottoms as many of the artists that once had studios in the Crossroads have migrated that direction as well, and it seems true to both their craft as printers, and their vibe as artists to be in yet another cool, up and coming, hip neighborhood. All of this being said, this new spot is by far their coolest. From the arched entryway, to the bright interior, you're going to find everything you've come to expect from Hammerpress. Beautiful art prints? Check! Locally made greeting cards? Check! other stationary and art goodies? check and check! Next time you need a card go check them out - you won't regret it!

I went to the print desk and there was a woman and her daughter standing there waiting for help and BEN - the Office Depot empoyee was on the phone (I later found out he was the manager on duty). He appeared to be on hold as he was speaking to the woman and her daughter. I asked if I needed to stand in line to use the printer (I had never done this before) and he was SO RUDE! He said I am trying to have a conversation on the phone and I only have 2 ears. (he said more but I was so shocked I didnt hear it all) The woman and her daughter looked at me in disbelief as well. I apologized and stated that I thought he was on hold. He continued to say rude things to me for interrupting him. I finished my printing and apoligized again. .He said nothing.. I went to check out with other items that I had and I told his coworker how rude he was to me. She said oh he is rude to everyone including me. She said that customers complain all the time and nothing is done about it. I filled out my survey to let Office Depot know how rude he was and haven't heard anything back. You know, it only takes a minute to be kind. There is no reason to be spoken to the way I was. I would like to say I will never ro to office depot again but I know some day I will have to but I will avoid people like BEN!

I decided to call them and when I did, I spoke with an employee who told me that my print job would be ready the next day and to call back the next day. When I called back the next day, the print manager told me that there was nothing she could do for me, despite the miscommunication between her and her team. She was rude and not helpful at all. I decided to call OfficeMax in Olathe and the person I spoke with in the print department was very helpful. I recommend the Olathe location 100%. Also, while I was there, there was an older woman who needed help sending information to their email, and the employee refused to help her because it was almost time for the employee to get off. would not recommend Lees summit location!

Aside from the coveralls I also had some more T-shirts made as well. After washing them only once, the logos were starting to peel. I had reached out to Chris (owner) and voiced my concerns about the situation. His response was."Oh no,How?" He asked for pictures which I provided. He wanted to know how they were washed and cared for. I wash all of my things according to how the manufacturer specifies. He said if I had provided receipts, he would offer a refund. Needless to say, I never saw a red cent. Super nice guy in the beginning but didn't back his workmanship. I will never use this business again.

I wanted a sticker of a particular guitar with a well known classic rock band logo over the guitar…read moreneck. I wanted the guitar sticker to be full scale, the same dimensions as the actual guitar. I wanted this sticker and logo to be the center point of attention on the hood of my vinyl wrapped fun car. I first emailed the description and artwork to the owner of See More Signs. The owner replied saying that they could make a sticker of a full scale guitar and could do that in a few days. He gave me a price quote. A few business days later he sent me the artwork of the guitar and logo. The guitar and logo looked good but I needed the size of the guitar to be another half inch wider at the bottom of the guitar, another half inch wider in the middle of the guitar and the logo to be 2 inches wider and have at least another inch in height. I mentioned all this in my first email. The only revision made was they added some height to the logo. I emailed him back explaining revisions still needed to be made and I was told that their designer had several projects in front of mine but he would get back with me soon. About two weeks later I received what was supposed to be the revised artwork but nothing had changed! The dimensions were still the same so I went in to the store a few days later and the owner told me he had time to revise the dimensions while I was there. I stood right next to him as he revised the dimensions on his computer. Everything looked great, I was glad that I went in the store to make sure the revisions were made. I paid a partial payment for the sticker and left happy, believing the sticker and logo were going to be the exact dimensions that I needed them to be. A week later they called me to say the sticker was ready to be installed on my car. I drove there excited that this was finally going to be done but when I saw the sticker I quickly realized that the dimensions of the guitar and the logo had not be revised. The revised dimensions were not saved! It had been at least 4 weeks by this time since I first emailed them and the weather was beginning to get colder so I allowed them to put the sticker on my hood which I shouldn't have. They did an excellent job installing the sticker on the hood of my car but I was not pleased about the dimensions being inaccurate. The height of the guitar looks good but the width looks like crap, it's too thin or narrow. It may be "close enough" but I paid $236 for this sticker so "close enough" doesn't cut it. To them, that's not much money for a project, I know they take on much bigger projects from local businesses that earn them thousands of dollars, so I believe the issue why they screwed up my project was because they didn't care about my project, it was low priority being only $236. To me, $236 is a nice size chunk of money for a guitar sticker that turned out to be a waste of time, effort and money because it's simply not accurate. I emailed the owner a day later to let him know that I wasn't pleased about the sticker and logo dimensions not being correct and asked why the revised dimensions weren't saved. He didn't reply. He might not have read my email. I don't know. I chose See More Signs because they were close by to where I live at. I didn't take the time to find out if there was another sign company close by to me. I should have. I don't know why the location says "San Francisco" underneath my name at the top. I live in Kansas City.
