Overall: This place is the good type of different. Really enjoyed the food. Atmosphere (4/5):Currently this place is located in Bridgeport. Food (4/5):Their signature dish is the chicken sundae. You can choose from three different types of seasoned chicken or tofu. There you choose your toppings and lastly you can choose between a chicken gravy or vegetable broth ( I got the chicken gravy and it very good! And they were not stingy, put a lot on there). Food was absolutely packed in the little boxes they gave, but I am not complaining Service (3/5): Ehh. Very unenthusiastic. Very basic bland interaction.

A long time ago, in a land far, far away (before Covid), I was introduced to Chop Chop Chicken Sundaes via their mobile food truck. My previous employer would pay for food trucks to bring lunch for all the employees a few times a month. I'm Asian and could LIVE off of chicken and rice, even if it wasn't necessary! I generally like my food plain, without a lot of extras. I had planned to get just the chicken and rice, with no other toppings. "You've got to get the gravy!" the owner said. "The gravy makes it!" I took his advice and man, am I glad I did! So, so good. The regular size was so filling that I could make two meals out of it! Chop Chop Chicken Sundaes now has a permanent location at Bridgeport Village (located in the center concourse, near Native Foods). You can still get a chicken bowl, using rice or bean sprouts as a base. OR you can get a salad! (Either creating your own or choosing one of their ore-designed options). For the rice/beans bowl, you can choose from 5 proteins (all chicken or tofu), 11 toppings and 2 sauces. The salads offer 5 proteins, 12 toppings, 4 cheeses and 5 crunchies. Eat here once and you'll already be thinking about your creation on your next visit!

Enjoyed trying this for lunch at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Fest, this was the highlight to our visit there. The guys are super friendly. I got a "mini" and it was plenty of food and added gravy per employee suggestion. Unique without being over complicated! Check it out if you get the chance!

There were many large seating area available. One main cedar table was a big attraction. There is a fireplace with a table by it We got a table. I ordered a Borgona, fruit puree juices mix with Sprite. Never had one, but sounded really good. It came and it was delicious and fruity for a mocktail. We ordered a shrimp ceviche and octopus skewers to start out with. The Shrimp Ceviche was very delicious and it was something that I was very happy to share it with my friends. It was a big portion of shrimp cocktail with salsa on the bottom and these large sized blue chips. It was so good that we ate it quickly. Octopus skewers was a tad charred. Yet very delicious especially if you eat it with the pineapple together. Brings out the flavor of the pineapples quite well. We ordered the Pork Belly Tacos and Mole Shrimp Tacos which came in 3. I absolutely loved street tacos filled with good fresh ingredients. And both of these hot the spot. The pork belly was an absolute great flavor of the pork belly. The Shrimp was delicious. Cook perfectly and easy to devour quickly. DeFuego Nachos had Jalapenos. But wasn't listed. The nachos were delicious and it was quickly devoured. Wings came in 4 wings with garlic parmesan with carrots and celery and ranch on the platter. Heavily garlic on the wings yet very delicious. Half wedge salad was a surprise how much there is in the salad. A lot of fresh veggies there with cherry tomatoes and sliced radishes in it. I had a absolutely fun experience celebrating my birthday here. DeFuego had Happy Hour from 3pm to 6pm, seven days out of the week. Seems the Happy Hour here is very popular. You have 21 appetizers to choose from on the Happy Hour Menu. There are Mocktails, and any drinks you want available. Definitely will come back again.

Shoot. Last night I took my boyfriend here to celebrate a special event & we left so disappointed!…read moreWe got there at 7:15 & we were stuck there for over 2 hours! I ordered 2 things and both came out wrong. Our waitress spoke very loudly and we could hear her having long personal conversations with people a couple tables away from us for 10+ minutes at a time, several times. While we waited for her, we ran out of water a few times and I had to ask for more. It was over an hour before our order was even taken. We did flag her down to order an appetizer, brussel sprouts with cheese on the side due to a dairy allergy, but... the sprouts came out with cheese on them. They corrected this fairly promptly, but then we sat for another 45 minutes before our order was actually taken. I ordered a steak as "somewhere between medium & medium well" and she correctly repeated my order back to me "medium/medium well." When the steak came out, it was WELL well done. Like, burnt. I wanted to send it back, but I didn't want to deal with the embarrassment or have to wait even longer for food. We were about an hour & 45 minutes into dinner by the time we got our food. I was so disappointed! I also wanted to get dessert to celebrate the occasion but the service was SO slow that we had to cancel our after-dinner plans. We ordered it anyway & requested the check promptly, giving up on our plans for the rest of the evening. We were only a party of 2, we arrived early for our reservation, & we watched several larger parties come and go while we waited for our order to even be taken. It was a Wednesday night and not overly busy, there were several empty tables, so I'm not sure what the hold up was. We were also seated at an odd table next to the kitchen with a small divider between us and the staff. It was noisy and I even heard 2 staff members exchange a joke about how someone else had left & said they'd never come back. They laughed about it. I wish I had the guts those people had to get up & leave! I've never once left less than a 20% tip and felt immense guilt not tipping well, but after experiencing the poor service then also hearing the staff blatantly acknowledge it & not care.... I was appalled. The Hilton bought the hotel attached to De Fuego and I'm shocked. This was a Monarch hotel before and I'd assume that the Hilton's standards would be higher but the service and quality here have tanked hopelessly low since the acquisition. I had a similar experience at The Underground before it closed. I've learned my lesson & won't come here for a special occasion again.

Our stay was during a heatwave, but because we had the doggo we needed to sit outside. The team at the cidery, Kayla & Emily, were absolutely amazing and took the beat care of us. We had some excellent bevies and tasty food, and were encouraged to come back for Pizza Day (50% off select pizzas with a pint of cider on Wednesdays). So we came back on Wednesday, sat outside, and had the best evening. Kayla, Emily, and Cole provided S-Tier customer service and hospitality to us and our little doggo. The ciders continued to be a hit and the pizzas were huge! This was also Portland Burger Week and they were slammed. Through all of the business and busy-ness they stayed composed and attentive to their guests. We hope to return to the area for future weekend getaways and will stop at the cidery first. Thank you for a great couple of days!

I've never really had a full pint of cider that I enjoyed before but I found one there! A friend had gotten a flight and I ended up getting one of those ciders. It had a wonderful berry flavor with some apple in there too. We also ordered some food. We had a pretzel with a fondue sauce the fish tacos and the dirty Mac and Cheese. The service was really good considering how busy they were. I thought the wait staff was very attentive. The food was pretty good. Really liked the fondue sauce that came with the pretzel. The tacos were good but lacking in seasoning. The dirty mac and cheese was good but I thought the barbecue sauce that went with the pulled pork was too sweet and effected the taste of the dish. The place itself is layed out nicely with lots of seating inside and some outside seating as well. I think I'd be back for the cider and a pretzel.

I tried ordering a sad little fruit salad from a random eatery and hit send one literal minute too late; they stopped taking delivery orders. Then the fruit Gods sent me Nourished NW. It was meant to be. They knew that THIS was the place I needed to find. At first I thought that this place was a little expensive, however they caught me in a moment of desperation so, I didn't really care. I ordered two phenomenal fruit salads at $19 a salad (I think the delivery app charged more than their normal prices). They were only open for another 14 minutes so I was a little worried they wouldn't take my order but they did! Once my order arrived, all my fruit dreams came true. Even at the potential up-charge of $6 on the food app, I'd have paid it again and again. The amount of fruit they give you is insane. The food container is so heavy. Not only do they give you a ton of fruit, but every piece in here is perfectly ripe and sweet. The quality control is top notch. They didn't skimp with their cinnamon, raw honey or Greek yogurt either. This is well worth the price in my opinion. You'd get a fruit tray at a grocery store with less quality, less types of fruit and no honey, cinnamon or yogurt for the same price. They have a new customer for life with us. Now excuse me while I finish eating. Soooo good!
