Very pleased with my experiences here. Over the past year or so I have purchased a few parts, a set of tires, and just this past week I traded in my bike. Karson is a cool dude and was all about making sure I was set up good. I got a great deal on my trade in and on the bike I bought from them. I probably spent several hours in the store during the process and most of it was BSing with the staff. They are all friendly folks and are happy to talk. They have some pretty nice bikes and they are always getting different ones in. Extremely happy with all my dealings in the past 6 months with the Chopper Gallery. If your looking for a used Harley, this is the place, excellent pricing and selections. I kept going back there every other day or so looking for a Ultra. Their inventory turns over really fast and you have to be on top of it if you are serious about buying. With less than perfect credit i went to the Chopper Gallery to look at some bikes and to see if i could get financed. Carson, Ernie, were great, the thing i liked most about them was the fact that they did not try to sell but gave options on the bikes, there was never any pressure. I waited for a couple of months before i did this review just because i wanted to be sure what i got wasn't going to give me any trouble, a 2000 soft-tail. I have to say that the bike is running great, except for the minor things that Harley's are known for which just comes from riding the bike, its been great. One of the best things was that going through the finance process there was no BS no empty promises by them, straight forward, they did what they said they could do and did it. When it comes time to upgrade to another bike without question i will go back to them. It was a great experience and there professional attitude has won a customer for life. BEWARE. Their customer service is HORRIBLE, so go in knowing that. They are rude, do not return calls very often and will argue with customers (potential or actual) Prices are great when you look around online, but you have chance there is a good reason. I have bought multiple bikes here so I am not a one timer with me experiences here. Parts Dept always has excuses on delays, incorrect orders and overcharges. I was once told I could test ride the bike as long as I stayed in the parking lot, since they didn't want miles put on the bike I was looking at. "Its not like buying a car". The base prices you see posted are without safety inspection, oil changes and in some cases repairs they made prior to selling the bike. This makes the price more attractive up front (bait and switch tactics). If they promise to do anything to the bike don't take their word, have it on a "due bill" before your sign everything. Karson can be a piece of work, he told me he wouldn't take advantage of me. The other sales guy, Mike I believe, is very apathetic. Kraig seems ok, but I don't see him around as often as he used to. I understand they are in business to make money but............ I traded in my last bike after having it for less than a year, I did a couple thousand in upgrades. I bought it for 14,000 and they surprised me in less than a year later with a value of only 7900. I was told Harleys were not retaining value. They then resold it, per their website for 13,999 in less than two weeks. The new bike looked nice visually but after I got it home it has issues. Chrome in hidden areas behind the wheel cover, near the front hub, had large pitting down into the metal by salt water. A couple places where the frame welds were painted show rusting from the inside. Once the seat came off to check the battery there was large clods of black sand packed into the hidden areas around the battery, frame and electronic modules. After a month the oil drain hose was leaking through one of several old cracks in the rubber. The ABS light comes on with a code for the module. The history in the module showed it had only 3000 miles since the module was last cleared of codes. I will stop telling people I run across to check them out. I for one will not buy here again. read more

I have been riding motorcycles for 18 years now, the last 12 of which have been on Harleys. I've dealt with so many shops over the years and it's these guys that just get it. Out of the last 7 different shops I've consistently used(been moved around a lot for work), no shop has ever treated me better, remembered my name, and made me feel like they actually gave a sh*t. I know the crap that they have to deal with daily(me:stubborn,picky, and dont have a bunch of money to burn customer)and they work their butts off to please everyone. Some people just don't get it though and can't be pleased. You're a fool if you would go anywhere else without giving them a shot first. Best all around shop from prices to knowledge to atmosphere. Shout out to all my guys and gals down there @TCG. My 4th bike is only a few months away. Side note: they let you feel free to roam and sit on any bike without somebody who works their holding your hand(which is unlike any other shop) but have some common courtesy. The Chopper Gallery has some great folks working there, Mitch for example, is very helpful, has a ton of knowledge, friendly, and very helpful. The Chopper Gallery has a horrible business plan however, service after the sale, NON-EXISTENT. My transmission went out on me 27 days after purchase. The warranty my bike came with was for 30 Days, all "Safety Items" were covered, but not the transmission. An operable transmission cruising at 80 mph down the I15 isn't considered a safety item? Too bad there wasn't a list of items, or any literature whatsoever, about what my 30 day warranty actually did cover. When my bike broke, i called the Chopper Gallery, Thomas (no longer working there), and Kelly were happy to pick my bike up to determine if what was wrong was covered under the warranty. A week after they pick it up, the work won't be covered, the labor will be at a minimum of 7 hours at $88 per hour, plus the amount for parts, AND I just get a call from Kelly, If I don't have them do the work, I have to come pick up the bike myself or pay to have brought back, it's only four miles from my house to the Chopper Gallery for heavens sake. This isn't the half of it really, there is more believe it or not. But first, I have to go get a trailer and pick up my motorcycle. tried to buy a harley today cash money. not only did they not budge on the 8,299$ price tag, the total cost with tax,tag and title somehow jumped to 13,000$. anybody who walks into a dealership with cash in hand and pays full price is a fool. any dealership who sets the sticker price at exactly what they want for the car/motorcycle needs to go back to business school to learn what negotiating is all about. anybody watching TV today can learn how to negotiate from counting cars, pawn stars, American pickers, fast n load, real estate shows, etc etc etc . I was very happy with the manner in which she took charge and demanded the warranty company pay the refund owed to me. Kristi never let up on my refunds and as a result I was paid what was due to me. DO NOT BUY A BIKE FROM THIS PLACE!!!! My husband and I should of read the reviews before coming here...We got a bike from this place had to wait two weeks before picking it up and still had to pay the payments why they had it..After picking it up, we had some problems with it, so i called and talked to Carson "the owners son" he said he would call me back, never did...called back the next day and and he told me that he's looking into it and that he would call me back. Never did...we took it to a different shop and there was no transmission fluid in it at all. It's been leaking transmission fluid and they said that's what you have an extended warranty for. We got the bike from them less then two months ago. The front tire has a huge bubble in it and Carson said that it happens with a cheep tire like that. So I guess they put cheap tires on there bike. Back to the transmission. The other shop now has my bike and has to change the transmission barring and seal because it wasn't done right the first time. These guys put a new tire on my friends motorcycle and used the wrong innertube. Since it was too big, it got a fold in it and 800 miles later my friend had a blowout. at 70 miles per hour on the highway. When it was proven that they put an innertube that was too large on the rim, they wouldn't make things right. They treated him like garbage and would not refund his money. Stay away from these guys. Their customer service is garbage. Don't buy anything from these guys or let them work on your motorcycle. read more

Leaving this review is totally against my personality and I have never done it before, but my experience with the Chopper Gallery really left a mark on me and I feel that others need to be warned as to who unprofessional these people are. I bought a used 2012 Dyna from them in November 2015. The over the phone experience was great and so was the first meeting, which mind you I travelled 100 miles to get there. The bike was shown to me byKarson the owner's sonny he was great by all accounts. Never haggled, agreed on the bike, did the financing and papers and Karson said they will PDI the bike, change all the fluids and the battery as it was dead and had to be jumped in the showroom so they can start it for me. So bottom line, it would take about a week for the papers to get finalized through the leasing company and I left that day with the promise that the bike will be looked over and had the work mentioned above done. During that week I communicated with Karson and arranged for them to swap the handlebars. When we went to pick up the bike on Sunday, they couldn't find it for 20 minutes and later I figured out why, they had to jump it. Took it home and tried to go around the block only to notice that the handle bars where loose, they never tightened them up and also they never checked, they were for the wrong bike as they were hitting the gas tank. Battery will not accept charge so although they promised to replace it, never did. At this point Karin will not return phone calls or emails. I called the service guy Ben(which is the only person during this process that try to make this right) and after a couple of phone calls they shipped me a battery. The moment I installed the battery the bike will not start, completely dead. Called Ben and told him that this should have been taken care of before I picked up the bike. After a lot of back and forth they agreed to send a transport to pick it up and fix it. They kept the bike for THREE WEEKS until it got delivered back to me. At this point I am making my second loan payment and still have not gone for a ride. Took the bike to the dealer to have it checked out and the result was that they never did a damn thing they promised, no PDI, no fluids changed, oil was black. They make a good first impression and then they LIE, LIE, LIE. Stay away. P.S. They even told me to be patient with the new plates from DMV as they take months some times only to find out that the bike had current plates under their advertising plate. Coming somebody like me in the service business and value professionalism more than anything on my day to day dealings, THESE PEOPLE ARE THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE I HAVE EVR MET. read more

I bought a bike from them a few months ago and it has been a horrible experience ever since. I totally lost confidence with this place and had to take my bike to San Diego Harley to get the necessary repairs done. They kept my bike over a month to fix the licence plate adapter with no phone calls or updates. After picking up the bike it started making a clunking noise and they told me they couldn't help me and to tow my bike back into there shop. There service department is horrible to deal with. Carson the salesman was nice to deal with, but I am very unhappy with there service! Be advised if you plan on doing business with these people. read more

I went in to by a chopper. I told them at the time that I wasn't sure what bike I was going to buy but I was definitely walking out with a bike. The first time there I didn't feel they were dealing quite fair with me. But I gave it a second chance. I purchased a "desert thunder bobber". It was advertised as a soft tail. After a test ride, the bike fit me perfectly as I am a tall person. But it rode hard. I told them I would buy it if they fixed the suspension. They said they would and then ship it to me. When I got the bike they had done nothing to correct the suspension problem. They lied and said they could do nothing to correct the problem. I took it to my guy. He found the rocker arm locked and the shocks were bad. They also sold me a bike , that I was told by the CHP, was illegal in California due to the fact that desert thunder isn't a recognized motor vehicle manufacturer. I had to fight with them to get them to send me new shocks and license plate holder with a brake light. The holder they sent would not go on the bike. Now they want to send me a holder without a brake light. Told me I would have to buy new lights and have them installed. I'm not buying anything that should have been on the bike when I bought it. Much more to the story but I'll end it here. But I would never do business with them again. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. If I were you I'd go somewhere else to buy a bike. I have been looking for a chopper for 2 years when I found exactly what I was looking for at Chopper Gallery via Cycle Trader. Craig and his son Karson operate this place. They are very friendly and helpful. Overall I had a great experience buying my chopper from them. I got a great deal, I didn't haggle on price as I thought it was more than fare. I did request a new back tire as a part of the deal, which they did. I'd like to also mention that they put a new front tire on along with a new battery without me even having to ask. My LA mechanic told me that the labor he would charge for changing the huge back tire on my beast would be about 600 + 330 for the tire. I was naive and didn't realize that I had negotiated that much, so they are very reasonable. I'm giving 4 stars because they said they would rebuild the dual Mikuni carburetors since the bike had been sitting pretty much since new. They didn't rebuild the carbs, in fact they were leaking fuel. The motor mount bolts and the exhaust manifold bolts were all loose, really loose. The timing was way off as well. I live 2 hours from Temecula, so bringing my bike back wasn't an option and I wouldn't have done that anyways as I don't think that a really good mechanic would have let a bike go to a customer with loose motor mount bolts. I say go for a great deal and some really nice owners, but unless your a good mechanic, get your bike to a shop to have it gone through before getting on the road. read more

I have never been so disgusted with a motorcycle shop in my life. I recently bought a 1997 Dyna Wide Glide that was sold as a lemon. Additionally, my cousin was also sold a lemon. So I bought my bike only 4 months ago, in the first two weeks it broke down on the 91 freeway 2 times in rush hour traffic. They supposedly fixed it and it broke down a week later. I took another mechanic in Temecula and he said they installed the clutch wrong, that explains why they glued my derby cover closed. Shady as hell, out of 3 close friends and 1 family member, each one including myself got fucked by these people. End note: Just on Friday night, my lemon broke down on the overpass between Beaumont and Hemet, I was stuck there from 11:00-2:00a.m. in the morning. After finally making it back to Temecula, I contacted Chopper Gallery literally once the shop opened. They had all day to call me back knowing I was without wheels and didn't even call me back. So I did 5 min before closing, un-fucking believable right? Than I call and talk with a sale associate and he said he would call the boss on fucking Tuesday!!!!!!!!! Obviously that wasn't going to work, after I had to call him back, he stated "Sorry man, there is nothing we can do"..... NOTHING YOU CAN DO!!!!!!!!!!! How about giving me a deal on a trade in, how about except responsibility for your actions and fix the fucking bike. I bet if they did they would feel a lot better for all the patrons they screwed over. How about paying me the 1k I just spent on the motor, how about 500 bucks for half the bill or a in store credit. NOPE, fucking crooks. If your fed up with these guys, if you've been fucked over like me and many others than let's talk.
