I been following this shop on social media for a while and I visited recently at their new location on Abrams. I called one afternoon asking them if I could do a walk-in regarding a conch piercing I got at another tattoo place. Sometimes some studios wont even see you if you did not get your piercing done with them so that's why I called ahead. The guy answers the phone I tell him whats going on and he tells me he has to see it in person to really give me an answer, along with that he tells me he does charge a fee to change the piercing/take it out. Ok cool understandable, every shop has something like this in place. Background story, I got my conch pierced at another shop by an apprentice. This shop and licensed and reputable. I understood that she was still getting licensed and she was supervised. Cool, I get it; everyone has to start somewhere and i dont mind helping her out. I got 2 piercings from her and both had jewelry put in that I picked from their inventory. Both pieces of jewelry had a flat back. I got pierced and both jewelry went in, no probelm, cool thanks I am happy moving on (thats was on July 28). I get to the shop and Matt greets me and walks me over to his station. Upon closer look it looks like the flat back of the conch jewelry I was wearing got swallowed by my ear! The way I understood it was when you get a piercing your skin is trying to heal and close off the hole. With a round back it keeps the jewelry moving compare to a flat back where it stays put. What I originally though was the back of my jewelry had fallen out turned into my ear swallowing the back of the jewelry. From what Matt told me I came in at the right time or else I would have had to go to the ER to get it removed and a possible chance I could have gotten in much worst situation. He had asked me where I have gotten it so I told him it was an apprentice at a shop and he pointed out the apprentice may have skipped the steps to really look to see if my ear and its curves were a good match for the kind of jewelry they put on me. I have a thick ear conch and when I got it pierced i figure it was tight because of the swelling but it was the jewelry giving me trouble. Matt said the apprentice should have seen my ear thickness and used a longer back piece . An experience piercer would have made the proper recommendations for a thick ear like mine. So Matt ended up making a small cut in the back of my conch so he could push out the jewelry. Sadly the best choice was to let that heal up and then revisit after a month to get it re pierced. I appreciate Matt's honesty and professionalism in this situation. He was very knowledgeable and great to talk to. He thanked me for coming in and helping me avoid the discomfort and possible trip to the ER. He also invited me back to see him when I was ready to get my conch re pierced. Overall very knowledgeable staff, friend, clean shop, very cool décor and great location. Parking is free outside but limited, overflow parking is available across the street at Fuzzy's. The shop does charge a convenience fee when using a credit or debit card so bring cash if possible. read more

I've never been treated so rudely at a business before. The employees here were not only unprofessional but also downright embarrassing in the way they spoke to customers. Getting a tattoo should be a comfortable and respectful experience, but instead I left feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. When we simply asked about pricing, they actually tried to pick a fight and even attempted to assault us. If you value being treated with basic kindness, I would not recommend this shop. I initially went there to change the jewelry of my nose piercing from a stud to a hoop. He took the stud out, and tried to put the hoop in. He had trouble putting the hoop in, which I understood. I have gone to 3 to 4 piercers since getting my nose pierced and they have all said how the original nose piercing was not the best. He stated how he didn't wanna waste the hoop because he had already tried to use it on me which means he couldn't sell it again. He had said he had never had this much trouble changing someone's piercing and that he didn't think he would be able to get it. I asked him to just put my stud back in. He asked me to put my original piercing, the post/stud, back in so he could see the angle at which my nose was pierced. After I showed him the angle, he said "let me try one last time." Finally after the third attempt, he said "that he got it." Understand this - while he was putting it in, it hurt way more than any other piercing I have ever gotten before. I had had my nose pierced before, clearly, and this one hurt way more (especially if this was just suppose to be a jewelry change which I have done at other piercers multiple times). When I went to the mirror to look at the hoop that I thought would be in my original nose piercing, I said to him "this is a new hole." He immediately said that it wasn't and got defensive. He said that the reason why it hurt was because the original piercing was at a strange angle and that there were "craters and holes" under the skin. He said that there was no way that a blunt piece of jewelry could pierce the skin and that that hole was already there before I got here (!!!????). I said that I've been to multiple piercers before him and none of them had ever mentioned anything about there being two nose piercings. To show him that he had essentially pierced my nose again, I put my old nose stud in my original hole and IT WENT STRAIGHT THROUGH. He still continued to say that "there was no way that he pierced it with a blunt piece of jewelry" and that if it was a fresh piercing I would've been "bleeding like crazy." He was extremely dismissive and said "will that be card or cash?" I was not rude when I brought it up but his inability to admit that he created a new hole in my body THAT I DID NOT ASK FOR (even after I showed him that my old nose piercing was completely open aka you couldn't even feel the hoop going through the same hole) was extremely offputting. The fact that he tried to tell me something about MY OWN BODY (that hole was already there) like I was a freaking idiot was very confusing. Even if there were "holes and craters" under the skin from my original nose piercing, THERE WAS NO HOLE ON THE SURFACE OF MY NOSE OR ON THE INSIDE SURFACE OF MY NOSE (simply there wasn't TWO piercings!!). It hurt so badly when he was "changing my jewelry"because he was essentially piercing my nose again with a blunt piece of jewelry. When I got home, I put my stud back so my family could clearly see the completely new piercing I had unknowingly gotten. I have attached pictures of what my piercing looks like before I went to his shop versus after. There is clearly a completely new hole that was not there before. Had he been less dismissive, I would not have been as apt to write this but alas. DO NOT GO HERE FOR PIERCINGS. I believe another reviewer has left a recommendation for a shop in the Arlington/Grand Prairie area. read more

I'm sure they are a great shop, but I was quoted over $1200.00 for 2 different handwritings, with cremains to be included in one of them. I was honestly floored. Needless to say, they didn't get my business. It was last weekend to be exact. Quoted $700 for All my love, Dad with maybe his fingerprint along with the cremains, another $300 for Love you, Mom on an existing one and then $295 to send the cremains off to be "specially processed". I got my conch pierced by Matt last November and it was fine the first day, but after 24 hours it started rejecting. I have 10 different piercings, including cartilage piercings, I know how to take care of them. This was not an issue with my personal hygiene but an issue with the hygiene of the needle and jewelry used. Matt also pressured me into going a size higher than I wanted, and bad talked my former piercer, who I no longer see because I no longer live in the area. This wasn't the only problem I've ever had with this shop, both Karina and Matt have been very rude to me and made me feel uncomfortable on multiple occasions. The pricing for my single piercing was also twice as much as I've been charged for my other piercings done at different shops. Please please please for the sake of your wallet and the sake of your mental and physical health please do not get pierced at this shop. read more
