My daughter said to email Sparrows and see what happens. I did and they responded same night and said Cody was down to tattoo me. I was super excited. The shop is amazing. The staff is super friendly and very attentive to all that come in. Cody did a fantastic job on my tattoo. I told him what I wanted and he amazed me with his vision and talent. I made sure this tattoo reflected who I am--someone who's been a diehard Cowboys and Texas Rangers fan since childhood. I also added a tribute to DJ Screw, representing the music that shaped me over the years. Finally, I included the Texas State Capitol building to symbolize Austin, my home away from home. While I miss DFW, growing up means moving on. I've kept in touch with Juan over the years, ever since a friend introduced us. He did my first piece in memory of my mother before she passed, and I've trusted him ever since. Juan owns the shop, and when you walk in, you're welcomed by a chill vibe: a pool table, a couch, a TV, and music setting the tone for good vibes. The shop has three separate studios where they offer piercings, tattoos, and even tattoo removal. Parking in front of the building can be tight, but there's extra parking across the street near the Domino's Pizza. Juan is an incredible artist, and you can't go wrong choosing him for your ink therapy. He maintains a clean, professional setup needles are always sealed and properly disposed of in biohazard containers after each session. I booked my appointment a couple of months in advance, and he was flexible with my schedule since I was traveling in from Austin. He kept me updated all the way up to the day of the appointment, making the whole experience smooth and easy.

Amanda is an amazing piercer! I had placed an order for food at a nearby business and had been…read morethinking about getting my nose pierced. I stopped in while my food was being prepared, as I had a few questions and concerns. The tattoo and piercing studio was very inviting and clean, as were Amanda, Ruben and Kati. I didn't plan on actually getting a piercing, but because of their expertise in answering my questions and friendliness, I decided to go ahead with the piercing. Amanda took the time to make sure I was satisfied with the placement before the actual piercing happened. I'm not gonna lie, piercings do hurt, but they're definitely "Good Pain". I truly believe the professionalism of the artists and the atmosphere of the studio goes a long way in helping make the experience a positive one. I was so satisfied with my piercing, I decided to head back for a couple more a couple weeks later. I'm all pierced out for a while, but once these heal and if I'm craving another, Amanda and Good Pain is definitely at the very top of my list!
