The churros were absolutely delicious, and the guests who had them really enjoyed them. However, my experience with the service left me disappointed. The churro cart arrived while most guests were still eating lunch, so there wasn't much interest in dessert yet. Shortly afterward, we started bingo, and many guests stayed inside participating rather than coming out for churros. When I went out to get some churros for guests inside, I asked if they were leaving soon. I was told they were and asked if I could have the remaining tray to pass out to guests. The gentleman told me they were taking the leftovers to their next event. That response surprised me, especially since I was standing with the person who had paid for the catering service. Later, when I returned, they changed their mind and gave me the remaining tray along with a bag for the coffee vendor. While I appreciated the gesture, the initial response left a negative impression. Catered for a graduation reception for about 150 people with other snacks and drinks. We planned it as a last minute treat, so we couldn't have live cooking on site. Priscilla was really easy to iron out details with and quick to have a quote. Joel prepped and cooked everything nearby and brought it on site while they were still crispy. He was polite, arrived early, and finished all the prep in time for the reception. The churros were delicious, and we finished them in about an hour. I've had Churro Man churros a few times and thought they're some of the best that I've had. 2 or 3 times, we happened to catch them in Burbank at Victory & Buena Vista by the Ralphs market. They make them fresh to order so you'll wait a few minutes but they're so very worth it. There are dipping sauces available and some of the tastier ones for me are chocolate, dulce de leche & strawberry. But honestly, they dont need anything at all. They are perfect as is with their cinnamon sugar dusting. And how they come out of the fryer hot & fresh, so good. A slight crunch then just soft chewiness is just the best. Who doesnt love churros? Our friend used the Churro Man for his party several years ago and I remember it being one of the best churros I ever had. Since then, we've made it a point to visit TCM in Arleta, Burbank, and Sylmar - conveniently along our usual routes. We recently visited them in Burbank. We went on a very hot day around 3pm and although our car's AC was struggling, we were on a mission to get hot, freshly-made churros. Gotta pair it with the Lechera dipping sauce! The woman who helped us was very sweet. Wish we got her name. She was a vibe in her pink, heart shaped, studded glasses. They have been there every Friday for as long as I remember and we haven't tried them till recently!! They're always on the end of the block right on White Oak and Chatsworth. It's basically a food truck so finding seating and all that is always a struggle. But that's ok! These are easy to eat.
