This family run business catered an afternoon pool party we had. First let me say the food is very good. It is exactly what you want, delicious and flavorful meats, various salsas, condiments. They even brought churros and made quesadillas for people who didn't want tacos. But the best part of the entire experience is how care free I needed to be in managing the food and party. They took care of everything from paper products, cutlery to setup and cleanup. They were there a full three hours making sure my guests had enough to eat as they came back for seconds and even thirds. Delicious and great value! I used Taco El Botanas many years ago as well, but we hired them for the 2024 Superbowl and I'm so happy we did! We told them a 4pm start time, they arrived at 230pm and were ready to go a bit early. The meat is excellent and very flavorful. Everyone loved the sides and salsas as well. They make quesadillas and we also got some bacon wrapped hot dogs and churros. All of that for about $17 a person, you can't beat the quality and price. They also will serve smaller parties, many require 50+. we had a lot of food leftover and they left it for us in the trays and wrapped in aluminum foil. We have been booking Taco El Botanas for years now. We've tried different taco catering but what sets them apart is that their tacos are fresh. You could really taste the difference. They are so easy to work with, communicate well - they even know sign language! That is huge for us! They have bacondogs, quesadillas and churros too. I booked Taco El Botanas to cater my husband and my birthday party. It was super easy to request a quote through Yelp. Elva got back to me in less than 24 hours with a quote for all you can eat taco bar for 50 guests. Leading up to the week before the party, Leo reached out to confirm our final guest count and we also were able to add on churros and quesadillas. The taco bar for 50 guests included all you can eat chicken and asada, rice and beans, 2 dozen quesadillas, salsa sides, limes, cilantro and churros!!! Plenty of leftovers too that we got to keep. The team showed up 30 mins early to prep food and ended up staying over 30 minutes despite quoting us for 3 hours of service. I had been searching for taco catering for my birthday party for weeks. I received a few referrals from friends but they were so expensive for what they were offering and the time they allotted for service....so I went to my ever so faithful Yelp and found Taco El Botanas; 49 reviews and 5 stars; I took the chance and so happy I did. Leo and his crew arrived on time, set up was easy..service started a little later than we had planned, which was fine because guests were busy drinking, but Leo also stayed a 1/2 hour later. He served: Carne Asada Tacos Chicken Tacos Potato Tacos Cheese Quesadillas Beans and Rice Bacon Wrapped Hot Dogs Now, I personally didn't have any tacos the night of the party but me and a few friends ate our weight in bacon wrapped hot dogs :) All of my friends loved all the tacos, quesadillas and beans and rice- the food was served hot and well seasoned. At the end of the night he packaged up all left over food for us and thoroughly cleaned up. Fast forward to Sunday night...tired from the party, not wanting to do a single thing but relax- reheated the leftover asada, chicken, beans and rice- it was as though it had just been cooked! If leftovers were as good as they were, then I have to bank on my friends when they said the food was absolutely delicious the night of the party. I received text messages the next few days following the party commenting on how good the food was and requests to forward Leo's information; which of course I happily did. Had them cater my son's birthday party in our backyard. They came a bit later than they had promised but the food was still ready at the start of the party. Leo and two others were there. We had the chicken and al pastor. I personally loved the chicken! Rice and beans were good too. Everything was definitely on the "over seasoned" side but it was delicious, so I didn't mind. We booked them for a party of 35 for $240. We probably had about 30 people show up, plus some kids. There was SOOO much left over food. Had a great experience with them this past weekend. I contacted them 2 months ago via email and received a quote for a reasonable price. They confirmed with me a few weeks before the party and again 2-3 days before the event. All communication was done via email. On the day of the event they catered a full taco bar for 100 people and we also added 2-dozen bacon wrapped hot dogs. Let me tell you that the tacos and hot dogs were the talk of the party!!! The food came with a choice of 2 means, rice, beans, salsa and other condiments. It is always hard booking a service without a referral,but based on the other reviews I decided to go with them.
