While they work on hourly consult rates which is a refreshing option for many of us, on a recent project, my business was clearly not valued. Calls and emails were not returned for days or weeks, plans not sent as promised, all eventually resolved through my repeated follow-ups. The justified reason is that a bigger client was requiring all their time. Customer Service 101. I pay my invoices on time and without question. I will set aside the sales tax issue which required multiple emails to be resolved. The last straw was the requirement to pay for a 4th consult by a sharp deadline or my consult would be canceled. What choice did I have? I will find an interior design firm that will appreciate my business.

She was referred to us by my wife's co-worker. Jessica and Amy came out to our house and we just loved their energy and the way they handled things. They asked us questions about our preferences and ideas and from there they went to work. Of course, I signed their contract - which did not include any measurements - so I''m stuck. Protect yourself by making them write all of the dimensions on the contract - which you should verify with your space so that this does not happen to you! She was patient and prompt when answering my questions and going over the details, sometimes repeatedly. I really appreciated that because I know we weren't her biggest client. Carole is an amazing designer. I had spent weeks trying to find the perfect backsplash to go with…read morethe beautiful Taj Mahal quartzite countertop I had chosen at Arizona Tile. I then met with a few designers at Arizona Tile and everyone kept showing me stone backsplash or a white ceramic tile backsplash. I knew that wasn't the look I wanted for my kitchen but I had no idea what it was I was looking for. I wanted something light, bright, classic but with a sandy look as we live near the beach. I contacted Carole and she immediately had a suggestion to look at large glass tiles. She had a few at home for me to look at and then met me at Arizona Tile to pick the perfect color. She suggested I go with the 4x12 Matte Islandia Lanai tile and it was exactly what I was wanting. She then helped me find the perfect grout and suggested I do the traditional subway style to give me a more classic look. After weeks of debating, Carole helped me pick out and design my backsplash in under an hour. Two weeks later our fabricator went to pick up our two slabs and found out that our perfect countertop had been double sold and was on its way to Las Vegas. We were in a panic. This was going to delay our kitchen project weeks. I called Carole and she dropped everything and met me at Arizona Tile to go through numerous lots of similar slabs. Nothing was right. Some were too brown, others too green. Carole insisted that they bring out more slabs for us and we managed to find two slabs that were possibly even prettier than my original ones. Project was back underway and only delayed by one day. I can't thank Carole enough for helping me with the design of my kitchen remodel. She made what was stressful into a fun, easy project. We are getting ready to remodel our master bathroom and I'm definitely having Carole help me with the tile and backsplash design.
