Looks Good Up Front, Falls Apart After We hired The Cleaning Authority after a professional walk-through and a max estimate of $550. I added oven cleaning, which normally runs $35-55, but my credit card was hit with $240 over the estimate -- even though another resident had already paid part by check. We tried calling and emailing to clear it up. No response from Katie. No response from the VP either. We eventually canceled the check ourselves just to make the numbers right. The cleaning? Inconsistent. Some doors and baseboards were skipped, the dining table and chairs weren't moved to mop, and a pewter anniversary statue was broken with no mention. I hired this company for a deep clean of a house that was basically empty. We are moving in. The manager and 2 workers showed up as scheduled. The manager said these were his two best workers and estimated the job to be 6/7 hours. I was perfectly fine with that. I went out for errands, leaving my sister behind with the cleaners. Sis offered them a huge closet full of household items left by the previous owner. Frankly it was an easy way to get rid of it all and they took it all. I think the haul distracted them with loading it all into their car. I came back 3 1/2 hours later and they were gone. My sister said they were finished. I walked around and almost nothing was done. Dust on floors, cobwebs in corners, dust on blinds. Do not hire this company. Here's the deal, we would have paid for 4 cleaners for 7 hours each. They totally blew it. read more

Overpriced. 2 workers came in obviously tired and over worked. Worked very slowly and broke a few blinds on windows they were cleaning. Work was satisfactory but could have been done in half the time and for half the cost. read more

Katie the manger is scam! They sound great on a paper but they can't deliver what they sell you. They send their A team the first time to impress you and then they tell you they got promoted and each one have their own team & the quality of their service goes down from there. They clean my house 4 time, first time A, second time B and the third time E and after I complained they send the rudest & coldest cleaners to my place which I felt uncomfortable to be with them in my own house! They are friendly with you as long as you don't say anything to them. read more

The Two Young Lady's Meadow and Abi did a outstanding and Great cleaning job- Good Job

I've used them for several months really trying to be patient but this service is below subpar. The first clean was decent. It went straight downhill from there. They come out to "reclean" the areas I point out that were not cleaned and apologize for the inconvenience but the first problem is the reclean is limited to what I notice immediately after the team leaves. Anything else I cleaned myself -- which was pretty much the whole house. The second problem is that the last time, they last minute rescheduled and came 4 hours later then between the first so-called clean and the reclean, it took all day. The cleaners look like underpaid kids who didn't know how to keep their rooms clean much less know how to professionally clean. They usually have a team with one that is working and one roaming around trying to look busy. It's giving exploitation all around. At best the service is what I call tidying up not cleaning. Yep, they tidy up. The rotation service was supposed to include my baseboards every other visit. Never happened. They were the most expensive we've tried, but we went with it because of the sales pitch. It's nowhere near the promised service. It's nowhere near worth the cost. I went in the app to close my account. But of course you can do everything except close it and remove your bank info. read more

We tried and failed, one group of the 4 they have are great, the other ones are not consistent and have a lack of detail, company is very bad at communication, had to stop my service after 3 months, mainly because we couldn't get the group of cleaners we wanted. read more

They start off great. Oh yes, we can come see you around your schedule for the sales pitch. Oh yes, we do everything on the list. Oh yes, we'll come back and reclean. The first couple of times they were good - complete, on time all that. BUT when I complained about them missing a spider web large enough to hold an avacado AND not vacuming between furniture AND not moving chairs to mop FOR FOUR WEEKS - nothing. They sent someone out to re-clean and that person wouldn't even listen to my husband when he offered to show them what needed to be done. "Nope, I have my list I don't need you". And guess what? Wasn't done. When I complained AGAIN and asked the owner to come out so I could SHOW her what was not done, she seemed to think that wasn't needed. Now how is it if she couldn't understand the first time, she would understand the second time? She (grudgingly) agreed to come out before I left for work (seems we can't do follow ups in the evening). HOWEVER what I got was a b-tchy email that 'we only come out between 9 and 1pm'. Needless to say, my response was to cancel the service, demand my key back and congratulate them on having so much business they didn't need to service existing customers. Love the Cleaning Authority. We have used them for years and they are consistently good quality. The cleaning people are so nice and it's very easy to switch a day on the rare times I need to do it. Pricing is very reasonable. read more

If I could give them zero stars, I would. The very first time they came out to clean, they never even vacuumed the carpeting!! The second time, they mopped around things, didn't sweep, cobwebs hung from blinds, and the top of my couch was dusty enough to see without the lights on. They came out to "reclean", but when they left, it was like they did not do anything, at all. The cleaning ladies were sullen, appeared disgruntled, and were unfriendly. The owner made empty promises of "making things right" that he, and his staff, never fulfilled. He even went so far as to tell me that he would stop by to check on the job his maids performed - I saw him pull up, but he never even came to my door, let alone check in & see if I was satisfied (I was NOT). After the fourth visit from these people, and fourth blatant lack of cleaning, I had enough. I emailed the owner, offering photos of just how filthy his maid service left my house, and I never received a response, or offer to rectify the situation. Straw that broke the camel's back - I canceled them. Then, my neighbor, who had just used them for her first cleaning, called me & complained about what a horrible job they had done at her house, including leaving a faucet running full blast (she discovered it when she returned home)... And that she was canceling their service. Frankly, the only thing this business cleaned me of was my hard-earned money. read more

Omg my house looks fabulous!!! Four cleaners came for my first deep clean. They worked as a team, were very polite, and stayed for about two hours. My showers have never looked better. The sweet young lady who cleaned them worked up quite a sweat making sure she got every inch!! It was very reasonably priced too! I highly recommend Cleaning Authority. read more

The worst experience I have ever had with a cleaning company, and the worst customer service. This company claims to do a "deep cleaning" on a rotational basis every visit, Well each time things were barely spot cleaned, much less deep cleaned. I had to have them come back each time because of the horrible job they did, (spot dusting and vaccumming, counters not cleaned, bathrooms not thoroughly done), but after three times of dealing with the poor job they were doing this last visit caused me to write this review and stop payment on my check for that cleaning. I had even left an additional check for the girls for a Christmas bonus and home baked cookies thinking that these extras would insure a better job, well how wrong I was, This cleaning was the worst ever, it did not even look as if anyone had been there, plus there was a large stain on my carpet which I have no idea where it came from. Not only did they not clean my house, the cookies and additional check were gone without even so much as a thank you written on the paper they leave. I called immediately when I came home from work seeing the poor job and started taking pictures of all the areas that were not cleaned and of the large stain on my carpet. I wanted to speak to Abbie, the owner, and of course she wasn't available, but I was assured she would return my call quickly. I also asked them not to deposit my checks because of the poor job. Well of course she did not return my call so I stopped payment on the check for the cleaning, but I didn't want to pay the additional fee for the check for the girls, assuming there was no way they would cash the check. Well I was wrong, both checks were deposited, but luckily the stop payment kept the one from going through. It has been three weeks and I have still not heard from Abbie even though I have left numerous messages. I am considering taking her to small claims court due to the damage to my carpet. We signed up to have our house cleaned every two weeks. They started off doing a decent job but after a few cleanings, they didn't show up on the scheduled day. This happened on 4 out of of 8 total cleanings. Every time, no one even bothered to call and give us a heads up. We ended up calling them at the end of the day and was told by the rude customer service that no one was able to clean our house. In addition, one of their cleaning crews told me the other crews were not fully doing there job and had missed several cleaning steps. I finally spoke with the owner (Gary) and told him I was upset about the lack of communication and that his crews were not doing their job. I informed him that I only wanted one more cleaning. He became upset and started telling me that he would just end it today and that was losing money on our house anyway. He told me our house was too cluttered and the crews spent all their time picking up messes. This is completely untrue and was never brought to our attention previously as a concern. There are obviously some major management issues with this company and I'm shocked that an owner of a company would react to a customer in this way. I would not recommend them to anyone! read more
