We set up our first cleaning with this place and the first cleaning is supposed to be a deep clean and is at a higher price, they did not do even a regular maintenance clean. Our baseboards were dirty, our oven still had grease on the outside, they did not vacuum the couches or dust the counter/table tops or take out the trash. When we brought it up to management they said "oh they probably just didn't see it". We do not recommend this service. This was my mom's house so it would be under her name bridges, we both live in the house. read more

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! I had used them for several years. Progressively the cleans started getting worse and the turnover rate on the teams was high. Then they started no calling/no showing on cleaning days (8 failures in a row). I would call the central call center line multiple times after each failure to show up and was told the Smyrna location would call me back immediately. Of course, they failed to call back as well. Save yourself the grief and hire a better company. read more

I'll be the first to admit that I have run through several local cleaners. They all do "okay". They clean, but they don't go above and beyond the call of duty. When I saw the famous TCA cleaning list, I was hopeful. I signed up for a bi-weekly service and have used them for several months. The problem with the list is it's a list. They blow through it and check the boxes without going above and beyond. And when they blow through it, they can be a little destructive (broken vase, spilled water on the floor, knocking the shower door off the tracks, knocking a security camera off of a ledge, etc.) For me the final straw was when I found myself cleaning after my cleaning. I swept out a closet that was missed, picked Christmas paper scraps up off the floor, found several things sitting right under the bottom edge of the couch, and wiped up a spill left on the front of the dishwasher. Also, they don't tidy knick-knacks. I had a table that looks admittedly sloppy after throwing stuff on it for a couple weeks. Other services will dust under knick-knacks and rearrange them to look neater, TCA will not move items and they leave things looking just as they found them - even if that look is sloppy. This includes leaving pillows haphazardly sitting on your couch aka no fluffing. In general, I would rather go with another okay place that is cautious and will make things look neater by fluffing pillows, smoothing out my bed quilt, replacing trash bags, and tidying up knick-knacks. I'm starting lose hope in Nashville cleaning services. Maybe my standards are too high? read more

We would NOT recommend The Cleaning Authority. We were very unhappy with the cleaning provided by The Cleaning Authority - Smyrna. The owner came out and quoted the job. It was going to be $165.00 for the entire house, plus an extra $100 for the initial "deep cleaning"... for a total of $265.00. The first time they came out the job was just ok. They had 2 people who stayed for 2 1/2 hours (5 hours of cleaning). It was not at all what I would consider deep cleaning, but it was the first time. Two weeks later, a different team came out for the next "deep cleaning" for an additional $265.00. It was 2 people and they stayed for a total of 1 1/2 hours... so 3 hours of cleaning. They did a horrible job. I complained to the manager. And when I attempted to sign into my account with The Cleaning Authority it had been disabled. And they charged our credit card the total $265.00 for 3 hours of cleaning. So $88/hour for a really bad job. Never heard from the manager or the owner again. What a scam! read more

Just as someone else posted, I've also been through a few cleaning services, I was hopeful when I was recommended this company. Unfortunately their check list is just that- I have a relatively small apartment as Its just me and my dog. First few months were winter months were my dog did not shed. I did notice they never rearranged things on my bedside tables to make it like a cleaning service actually serviced the place. I noticed Id have to go behind them to rearrange things that they should have put back in place, but didn't...but I'm decently easy going, so I didn't make a big deal. The girls dropped my phone while cleaning the banisters, dropped a picture frame- trying to clean fast (&sloppy, unfortunately.) However once the weather changed, my dog started shedding. My couch had a ton of dog hair... when I pointed it out-they would not clean it. According to the "list" they wouldn't run a lint brush on my couch but once every 2.5 months!! Even if that meant the living room looked atrocious. It didn't look like my living room was cleaned by anyone-- let alone "professional cleaners." Are you kidding? When I called, the secretary could have cared less, stating we can add on for extra money. It's a small apartment, I don't have a ton of stuff, most of the time they were done in 30-45 minutes. They said they'd still charge me the minimum, which is fine- as long as my apartment looked like it was serviced by professional cleaners. That was not the case and I had to end my service with them. I would not recommend them, unfortunately. I'd rather go with an okay company that will at least put things away neatly (or had a sense of pride that their name was attached to their services and if the service looked sloppy they look sloppy.) read more

Been using cleaning authority since October 2016 we've only had an issue once with one cleaning team, not doing a good clean. The team even came back to redo the job and still didn't do what needed to be done. Miranda the manger was very patient and understanding with us. She sent out a new team for no extra charge. The new team did a great job! I would recommend this company to anyone. Very nice staff ! read more

Have been using TCA for about 6 months now and we CONSISTENTLY get great service. Just got home today and Jana P did a great job. They get an A+ in attention to detail. Staff is friendly and we have not been disappointed yet. Having used other companies, I can say definitively that TCA is the best. They may not be the cheapest, but the job is done right, and they get all the little details that are often overlooked by other companies. read more

I hired this company a few months ago. The first couple of times, they did a good job. However, during the past 3 scheduled appointments they have been less than diligent. For instance, they cleaned the stove and removed the knobs. They did not put the knobs back on after the cleaning. I found the knobs in the garbage disposal (had to dig one out). They have been late for the last two visits. I take the morning off in order to let them in. I have terminated my use of their services today. If I could give them less that 1 star, I would. My first and last usage of this company. The women were very nice but ,as far as cleaning goes, I would call what they did to house as light house keeping at best. Mopping was no more than than dust mopping. Nothing was really cleaned. Some rooms were never touched, rugs were never picked up and cleaned under. Vacuuming was just hitting the high spots without even moving ottamans. If all you want is very light house keeping, this company is for you. But after $ 123.00 and I am removing dirt, dog hair and spider webs from my entry and also mopping all my floors, I am not pleased. read more

We were customers of The Cleaning Authority-Smyrna for nearly four years. During that time, we had only a few problems, including a broken mirror, mop water left on our hardwood floors under rugs which caused the floors to buckle, and only a few lackluster cleanings. In spite of these issues, we stuck with them and even recommended them to friends and family. However, the quality of the cleanings began to deteriorate during the fall of 2014. Our most recent cleaning was the final straw. Upon arriving home that afternoon, it was evident that they had done very little to actually clean. So, we replayed our surveillance footage from inside our home. Two TCA employees spent less than an hour "cleaning" our 2,500 sq. ft. home. It looked like they were in slow motion and spent more time roaming through the house, looking at their cell phones, etc. They even commented "it's good enough" and "don't really care" upon their departure. We were so displeased, we contacted the TCA office who sent the same two employees back to re-clean the following day. My wife left a note specifying tasks that were not completed. Their belittling attitudes and snide remarks (also recorded on the video) were so offensive that it shattered all confidence in The Cleaning Authority. [And, if you would like to watch either of the episodes, just let me know and I'll gladly share the link to the YouTube videos.] When my wife went to the TCA office to cancel our service and to pick up our house key, it was obvious that the attitude toward customers we saw in our house was consistent from top to bottom. The franchise owner handed our key over and arrogantly proclaimed, "My business will survive." With such a detestable work ethic and attitude, this company LOST ALL AUTHORITY to clean our home. read more
