The Clog Father was assigned to us by our home warranty company. To say they are the WORST, is an understatement! THREE missed appointments. I would not recommend this plumber based on my experience. Communication was extremely poor, with several missed appointments and little to no follow-up. He repeatedly claimed that special parts were needed to complete the repairs, but after weeks of delays and no resolution, my son was able to make the repairs himself. If you value reliability, professionalism, and timely service, I would suggest looking elsewhere. We called at 1 pm for 3 pm appointment. Thomas arrived at 5 pm but no problem for us. We are home anyway. He wore a mask. Professional and pleasant. A set fee was negotiated on the phone before Thomas' arrival. Took Thomas 10-15 min to unclog my bathtub using an electrical snake. We tried another plumber before but unsuccessful with a hand crank one. We do have to do the clean up but not a big deal. Price is not cheap but fair for in house call especially during this pandemic time. read more

I had use the ClogFather in the past for a backed up sewer. I thought $150 was reasonable to come to the house and snake out my sewer pipe. So when the pipe backed up again, I didn't hesitate to call them. However, this time they told me I needed to hydro jet the pipe. And it ended up costing $2400. I was entirely clogged and needed the work done because of my father's medical condition and quite frankly, who can be without use of the toilet for more than half a day? However, the price was high and predatory based on the situation. They were here a total of about 5 hours at the most. I notified them of my clog around 10 PM on a Friday night. They were at my house Saturday morning. The first gentleman tried snaking the clog and that did not work. He then used his hydro jet, which opened things up. However, he said his hydro jet wasn't that powerful and that someone had to return the next to finish the job. I was charged $1600 for this service. The next day, another service person came to finish the job. He first hydro jetted with his "more powerful" hydro jet. Given that my house is about 60 years old, I had concerns about the hydro jet damaging my cast iron sewer pipe. He told me that the hydro jet was only set to 3500 PSI. My own research turned up that the max PSI used for a hydro jet in this situation is about 4000 psi. The follow-up service cost $800. So the question is if the first hydro jet service for which I was charged $1600 was so weak that it needed a follow-up for the next day with a "more powerful" hydro jet, why was I charged $1600 for service with an inferior hydro jet? I have since reached out to other plumbers for future use, who confirmed that while the diagnostics processes sound right, the price was extremely high. read more

While doing laundry in the basement of our house, I noticed water overflowing out our basement toilet. The water was hot and was coming from an upstairs bathtub that was being drained. And no matter what sink in the house we were dumping the water in, it found its way back to the basement toilet. There obviously was a clog somewhere. We called The Clogfather and spoke to Tommy. He came and assessed the situation. The clog was in our water main. He gave me a couple of options. I selected the combination of snaking the drain followed by hydro-jetting the pipe since it's never been cleaned since we owned the house which is 14 years. This company is extremely hard to get ahold of for any confirmation of an appointment and the person that answers the phone is not friendly. As we were calling to inform them of the potential plumbing problem and support them with information they in tern were very vocal about blaming us for the problem and charged us over $200 which included a $100 service fee up front. I had the worst experience with them. I would not recommend them. The technician came and tried to unclog my main line. He ended up breaking a pipe in the yard after we told him the pipe had a patch. The technician left in a hurry. He told me that he does not dig and would not look at the problem. He told me to take a picture and text it to him. But the worst is that he never put the cap back on the main line and that caused sewage to flood my basement. When we contacted them regarding this they were nasty. So I had a sewer back up and I called the owner who seems to be very professional and had his people come out to my house that following evening the guys who came by the house was one of the most unprofessional rude disrespectful& foul mouth people I ever had to deal with in my entire life. As soon as they walked in to my house they started acting like they had no common sense..they kept disrespecting our family and our house by making Racist and unprofessional comments. They told us they were gonna do bunch of things to fix the problem and charged us $500 promising to clear a clog. All they did was was used there machine to clear the clog and did not do the other things he claimed he would do. They wouldn't even clean up behind themselves. They asked me to turn on the water in the bathtub to check there was no block and when they realized there was a block they tried charging men more to unclog it.
