I have met Oscar & Diego at the Home Show last year. I kept their business card until I was ready to get my custom closets. I've called Oscar on April 7th to get a quote. He showed up on time and started his presentation. From the very first moment my wife and I thought he was savvy and knowledgeable. He pointed things to improve our clothes and tips to keep it organized. After visit was completed and measurements taken he sent us an email with the estimate. I was impressed with his drawings and how professional he was. We decided to hire them for the job and complete 6 closets in our house! We were installed on April 30th and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. Now we will add the pantry and linen closets (3 of them). We also considering on doing the garage cabinets, laundry and a wall unit for the TV. Amazing turn around and his installers are part of the ownership of the company also. BEWARE OF FREE VIST & PROPOSAL - You could easily be asked to pay $400 + the cost of wasted time. I had high hopes but was let down by the sales team, specifically Diego Ortiz. A member of the sales team comes to your home, takes up half your day and then sends a quote with an autodelete date which they don't disclose. If you don't open according to some deadline you're never told about, the entire message and quote disappear. To resend the message costs $400! I understand when companies state quotes are only good for 30 days because prices can change, but $400 just to resend the original email? I have never heard of such a thing. DONT WANT TO WASTE YOUR TIME? PRODUCT INFO: Here is what I learned about their product although I'm working from memory since I can no longer see the estimate. In comparing them with competitors, they only offer a 10yr warranty (not lifetime), there is no guarantee against rust (not great for S. Florida garages), the product is much thinner than others at about 1/2" compared to 1" so it's more susceptible to warping, it also means it has a lower max weight threshold, the warranty for garage flooring doesn't cover stains, they do not assist with removal of items in the garage - at least 2 other competitors include move out and complimentary storage. read more

Bad experience with the installation of 4 large closets door panels, gaps left between the top wall and supporting brackets that looks disgusting, doors not aligned and keep opening by themselves. Contacted the sales associate many times, provided a video of these defects and no solution provided..... what a waste of my money read more

-- no appointment confirmation -- no contact before an appointment -- no show up!!! Is that a good service or what? After 20 minutes of waiting, I finally called to the office. They said that "Oscar" is running 30 minutes late if it is OK with me. I said it is OK. After an hour and a half more waiting (2 hours after my original scheduled appointment), I called to the office again. I told them that I do not want to have it anymore and I just want them to know what is happening with their business if they are not aware of it. We met The Closets Company at the Fort Lauderdale Home Show. Daniel showed up to quote our closets and created designs that maximized our space. We visited the store to see our color selections in a larger format. He worked with us on price and came up with the perfect design for our guest bathroom. A custom stain was mixed that matched our existing vanity perfectly. He researched and found hooks for our mudroom in the style I liked without visible screws. After three years whole system had to be taken down and re-installed see pictures. Just buy real wood online or Lowes and have carpenter install it. The installation is not built to last. From 1Jan 3 2013: The master closet came out as advertised but the pantry selves started to collapse after a week. I had to call several times over a period of a week then they finally called back. They were suppose to send someone out and he was a no show and not even a phone call . Waited half a day. They finally came out because the owner found out I stopped payment on the check which I'm thankful they took so long to cash. Thank my lucky stars. Had someone else installing a bathroom and he said the selves should be braced at the bottom which I had to force the owner to do. Only two piece of wood you would think they were made of gold. A resolution was reached which wound up costing us an additional $600 to $700 dollars from the initial estimate which was for the highest end closet material. The material that best matched was the middle grade material, which when calculated, was still too much money when you consider the chain of events that took place. The fact of the matter was they did not show us all available material samples in order for us to make an informed decision. The fact of the matter was when we first did not see eye to eye with their initial proposal to remedy the situation I asked them to remove their product from the house and keep the $1500 deposit, he left and said okay. Only to change his mind the next day and force us to accept the material and pay them 100% of the contract or the additional $2000 for the new matching material. As always there is two sides of the story, and I am sure their version will be much different. But I can assure you that what I am posting is an accurate description of our dealings with this company. If you decide to go with them make sure you have all available information and that you're are 100% certain the product you pick is what you want and not what they think you should have from behind their desk after only a short visit to your home. read more

Home renovations and remodeling can be a nightmare....I've done 3 in the last year & I finally decided to do some work at my own home. I had previously built out my 3 reach in closets (The Closet Factory....what a nightmare). I am SOOOOOOO happy to have found the Closets Company!! We hit a few bumps along the way (common with custom work) & each issue was resolved professionally & promptly. My laundry room has been completely transformed, my pantry is fully utilized to its potential, and my master walk in closet is fantastic! Great company. They put in my master BR closet system. I then had then back to do my 2 guest room closets. Office staff was very nice. Oscar came quickly both times to give me an estimate and within a week the installation was completed. The installers were very quick and did a great job. I had new closet I checked out 3 other companies before I made a decision to hire them. Two companies were very high priced, but The Closets Company came in at a similar price to another company I checked, but they offered a 10 yr vs a 5 year warranty with the other company. They had excellent reviews, and it really was a no brainer to pick The Closets Company. read more

I went to their show room with my husband and made an appointment for an interior designer to give me an estimate. He said he will get back to me mid week after he came but never called emailed, so I emailed Diego who told me he was the owner of the company and still never got an estimate. A true family owned and operated company. Each person that we dealt with was a family member. Everyone was very nice, polite and profesional. They were always on time if not earlier as per our meeting arrangements. What they quoted is what the final bill was which I liked. The final work was impecable. The salesman Jhoan promised us lighting for two separate units we ordered and both units have lighting that goes on and off together so we cannot control them separately even though they are not near each other. When I pointed out their mistake they tried to hold me up for another $150 to correct their error. Stay away! read more
