First class and fancy golf club ! Nicest course I've played here in Napa . Stunning views and so many cute places to eat. Course is difficult which is what I like as it's more challenging. People are friendly and service is great. We didn't have people in front or back of us all day long. We played the south course which is more complex and challenging from what I hear. We came to the 2019 Safeway open and it was a blast. Staff was available for questions and directions. Volunteers were friendly. They had public restrooms (Porto potties) and lots of refreshments. The restrooms were not too terrible to use. They cleaned them daily and had hand sanitizer and soap & water. It seems like the resort does its best to make people comfortable and happy. There were also lots of food vendors. The pavilion had wine, beer, soda, water and several food selections. The brew loft at the 11th hole had food and beer. You really can't go wrong here. I you like golf and beer or wine, you're golden. Almost all vendors accepted credit/debit and cash. We only saw one who was cash only way out by the 6th hole. Parking most days was out by the fairgrounds/expo and there's a shuttle. It was easy and they charge $10 for parking, cash only. read more

I had a beet salad heavy on the butter lettuce lite on the beets, it was good. Main I had the chicken pollo had a stuffed chili on top of a bed of buttery grit. 5+ hour round on an average golf course. The good; the greens are perfect. Fast and smooth. The bad; the course is just average at best The ugly; we waited on every hole and took us over 5 hours. We never saw a Marshall the entire day. Bottom line this is not worth what they are charging to play. If you have played a Troon course, you will be disappointed with the service. Definitely better than most, however not up to the high standards normally at other Troon properties. If you want to play a great Troon course with excellent customer service, head north to Yocha Dehe. read more

There is nothing special about the course. No signature hole. No incredible elevation changes. Not one hole even comes close to make you pause to take it all in. And for $189 to play the North Course where they hold the PGA event (Safeway Open), I have to ask why professionals would want to play this course -- other than for the prize money. Take your hard earned money and play another course. There are lots of better options in the area. This is a muni dressed up as a country club. Disappointed with my outing. read more

I've enjoyed many Silverado memories over the years. I've been here for weddings; corporate functions; tennis tournaments; bachelor weekends; etc. It really is a spectacular property - a true Napa landmark. It's a golfer's paradise, and it also boasts some lovely tennis courts; a deluxe spa; a few swimming pools and jacuzzis; and a few decent restaurants + bars. And if you like your vino, you'll be happy to know that Silverado (which is located off the Silverado Trail) is close to a number of fine wineries. What's not to love, right?! The resort lodging is nothing to write home about. It's fine, but it's a tad dated. My recommendation would be to rent one of the condos that overlook the golf course (you can find some great deals on vacation rental websites). They have plenty of parking, modern amenities, decks with BBQ, etc. It's true resort living. If you're looking for some nightlife action, downtown Napa is a relatively short Uber ride away. A number of cool restaurants and bars have recently opened up in the area. Definitely worth checking out! read more

Fantastic place to come! Beautiful campgrounds... Lush green Fairways and wonderful tees and holes on this course! The grounds themselves are incredibly nice and tidy and clean... And I just really enjoyed myself for the Safeway open here this year. I had the privilege of being able to go to the Citibank 18th hole VIP lounge... And what a wonderful experience that was! Some of the best views on the 18th green! Can't wait till next year... And the concerts were off the charts! read more

Took about 25 minutes for somebody to finally take my drink order at the grill. Not a single person stopped by my table, I had to initiate everything from asking to a menu. When a man came to grab a spare chair from my table to give to other guests I asked him if somebody was available to take my order. He mumbled "a bartender has to take your order" as he walked away. Not sure what he thinks working in hospitality is about, but that certainly was not that attitude to give. I finally decided to move to the bar hoping to get somebody to take me drink order. After an additional 5-10 minutes of nobody paying attention to me at the bar, one bartender finally offered to take me order. Awful awful service. This staff need to be trained in efficiency and offering better service. read more

Members first. Guests, back of the line. Played North course. Was in good condition for February. However, 11th Hole Grill staff treated us like 2nd class citizens. Ordered Dog burgers before we tee'd off on 7th. BTW, Hot Dog Bill's @ Olympic Club is the original. We arrived at grill and waited and waited. Foursome behind us and two foursomes of members playing South arrived after us. We all ordered same food. Guess who got served first? We had to tee off and come back. Incredibly, they asked us to wait again. Apparently, membership has privileges and good customer service is non-existent for guests. So, don't waste your money expecting equal service and treatment. This place is a joke. Totally overpriced. They never said a thing about wireless when we checked in. There's a wireless router in the room and it doesn't work at all. I called "front desk" and they referred me tech support. Tech support? Are you kidding me? I was on the phone with this clown and he suggested that my wife and I do a re-boot on our IPhones. This review is for the SPA. Spending an afternoon at the Silverado Spa was the perfect answer to a poor night's sleep at the resort. The spa is soothing and calm boasting a steam room, sauna, and relaxation room. The whirlpool in the women's lounge is antiquated and could use updating as it didn't have any power or enough jets to relieve sore muscles. Indoor showers are private and elegant. Apples, nuts, dried fruit, tea, and water are available. Although expensive for 50 minutes, my massage was wonderful. Recommend getting a longer session if your pocketbook allows. The outdoor swimming pool was heated and on a cool day was very swimmable and comfortable. The teak lounge chairs didn't have any pads, making them uncomfortable. The rose garden was in full bloom and beautiful. I was unable to take advantage of the water aerobics class because my massage was booked at the same time and the class is only offered a couple of times per week. Definitely necessary to make a reservation ​as the spa was filled to capacity. read more

The resort offers plenty in the way of golfing, tennis and spa treatments, but you can't help but feel like you're in a waspy wonderland from the 1990's when you're there. The restaurant on site could definitely use a new menu, especially with all the culinary options in and around the valley. But the staff is lovely everywhere you go and the room/cottage we stayed in was spacious with modern amenities. The best thing about the property is that it's ensconced in the eastern hillside of Napa Valley which is very beautiful and quiet, it also puts you at the southern entrance of Silverado Trail where you can begin exploring wines while driving north into the valley. Overall, I think it's worth staying if you can score a deal. But for peak season rates, I might look elsewhere. read more

I was extremely disappointed today. We arrived to pickup over $2000 in gift certificates. They were nowhere to be found. The employee was NOT apologetic but simply said "We'll look out for them." I explained we came there specifically to pickup (40+ miles) and would try to come back. Later when we arrived they were magically there but still no apology. This is a challenging course but every time I golf here I just love it. It is crazy that the fires almost eliminated this treasure. I am happy to see the rebuilding. Amazing golf course and worth every penny! get there early to check-in as there is only (1) person at the counter (taking their time) and they only allow (1) person in the proshop. Give the starter your receipt and off you go to warm up to unlimited balls on the range and chipping area. Don't forget to find time to putt as the South course greens are fast with slight undulation. hint...there's more break than you think. I heard there used to be tons of trees in the South and have limited xxx amount today however i think they current tree count still messes with your dept perception. Luckily the course gives you a free course guide however with app the new golf apps, its considered out date. Play the white tees and start bombing your drives to take advantage of being under 150 yards most of the time. another hint...just aim for center of green. Pace of play is outstanding in the AM but will start slowing down during the afternoons. I really enjoyed the excellent conditions of this course. Blows away Hiddenbrooke. A must play course if you get a chance. read more

Booked two nights through Expedia, was told I already paid through that website. Then the swiped my card for just one night. Was going to pay for the next one but before I made it up to front desk I had 2 boys standing outside my door and patio like they were the police. Telling me I "HAD" 5 min to finish shower and go pay. Mind you I've never stayed here and ditched on my bill or anything of that nature. Not to mention 4 family members have worked here for 10+ years. (I never mentioned this) I wasn't trying to get any special treatment, but I sure didn't expect such crappy rude service (Stanley and another boy). Constantly saying they were going to call the Sheriff's ?! Like wtf? Then we have them a card which they swiped for all 3 nights? When we initially called front desk we were told we could reserve the room for a 3rd day/night. Well Stanley and the other boy didn't hear or communicate so they said we would be getting charged for being in room for half the day. !? Again because they all did not communicate with each other we are being told the sheriffs were coming, totally embarrassing as other guests walked by and heard these remarks. So for the mistake of the EMPLOYEES we are getting charged ? Um no way, then Stanley said as a "NICE GESTURE" he would put the money from the first swipe back on my card? So it's a nice "GESTURE" I'm getting the money back I was overcharged?? Then was told that money from first swipe was just a hold? So which is it STANLEY? I've never encountered such a horrible staff that couldn't just admit the wrong's they had made. Instead insisted on embarrassing , humiliating and belittle us in front of other guests. Again never asked for anything (discount, special price, local price) anything . And we both have worked in the valley at high end resorts, we all know this is not how you treat a OVER-PAYING GUEST. Not to mention when we ordered over night dinning that never came when we decided to call after never showing were told by the employee , "YOU SHOULD OF CALLED AFTER 15 MIN, I FORGOT YOUR ROOM NUMBER!?" Like I can't believe how this place is being ran , have way more but I'm done giving my time into this resort. I give it -5 stars and will continue to tell everyone my experience here and def spend $$ somewhere else. read more

This is what I sent to Silverado CC: Thanksgiving - wife and I had reservations for the Thanksgiving in the Ballroom at 1:30 PM. The best part of the meal was the walk back out to the parking lot. Your wait staff was just fine but a $200+ check for two lunches plus 2 glasses of wine was Too much. Fire the chef; fire the planner. Smelly fish next to the turkey and beef too much oder, Turkey dry and BLAH, crab and shrimp smelly (old and time to trash) lackluster salads, crappy presentation and for $200 wife and I sat at corner table like leapers'. Our first time there for Thanksgiving was memorable, this too but not in the same way. By the way, I can add: 2 meals @ $69.00 each plus 2 glasses of wine??? I went to have breakfast one morning at the grill. I got the buffet and everything was excellent except the eggs. They were a bit hard. My server was very adamant on making sure I was content. Her name was Melissa and she went above and beyond any expectations I had. She brought me fresh perfectly cooked eggs without me even asking. I am so pleased and can hardly wait to go back. read more
