I found one I liked that fit quite well and she told me to sit tight while she went to the back and hemmed the pant cuffs. She then pressed the suit and the shirt I bought and found a coupon for the shoes I was buying. Her staff then helped me find a tie and belt on sale and within 40 minutes I was on my way with an entire funeral appropriate ensemble. Even though I love my Men's Wearhouse store in Arizona, I will stop by this store every time I am in Lexington. Nice job!

I went to the store because I had received an email (see below) that they were having 30% off. It's about a 35 min drive for me. When I walked in a gentleman was the only person there. I asked him about the sale. He said it was only Pfaff machines and accessories. I pointed out the signs displayed and my email, and he just kept rereading it out-loud. Like he was trying to justify what he told me. Anyway, finally, he asked "well, what exactly did you want to purchase with the discount?" I had already told him notions, stabilizers, etc. Frankly, I felt offended by this question. As if I needed to beg him for each item. So I simply said, "nothing, thank you" and left. Meanwhile, I'm still getting emails, one today saying the sale ends tomorrow, and please post review to yelp, Facebook etc. So here is your review, sorry.

I think they seem to think this is somehow my fault, when I was at their shop TWICE to get measured before it was initially sent to the tailor because I KNEW the initial measurements were botched. Some staff seems to think I wanted a jacket like his for some reason....idk where that came from. I want a jacket that fits. This is what I spent $500 dollars on...amazing. Oh and the jacket can't be fixed (button holes) and no one wants it because the right sleeve is 1" longer than the left.

There are a lot of cute and fancy little boutiques opening out here but they should all learn this lesson- greet everyone who comes in. Don't assume they won't buy anything there and ignore them. I guarantee these stores will see all walks of life of Kentucky over the coming months and from working in retail myself I can tell you that people will surprise you. Always helpful and willing to share their expertise, they have taught me more about the ever-changing field of home sewing and machine embroidery than I ever thought i could learn. Sandy absolutely loves sewing and working with people and Vicki is the perfect associate. Their attention to detail and continuing education with Viking serve their clientele expertly. I am sorry Leslie did not have a good experience on her only visit there. She should drop by more frequently and get to know the staff and take a class or two. Then she will learn how accommodating they are. They freely share their knowledge and carefully guide their customers through difficult projects. Thread, scissors, and other basic sewing supplies are on hand to be shared freely in class. Other shops do not provide this kind of service; you must buy a new spool of thread and other accessories. Customers are also encouraged to drop in for help with a project, at no charge. (I understand that at least one other shop in Lexington requires an appointment for such help and charges a fee.) Technical assistance with software and help using the machines are also freely given. Sandy's son Will is a Viking certified technician and expertly handles repairs. One other comment to those who would judge any business on the basis of one visit: no one can please all the people all the time. Sandy has owned and operated her business very successfully for almost 30 years. She's doing something right!

He said it wasn't done, but that I could take it. I reminded him that: * I live far away * I couldn't return for several more days * I couldn't leave my laptop * And at the time of dropping off my machine, I was assured that 1 week was more than enough time to see about/repair any issues my machine was having He started yelling at me that his mom was sick today and he couldn't do it all. He was yelling, waving his arms around, stomping off and slamming stuff. He continued yelling at me in front of the customers in the store. When I got my machine in my hands, he said to "just get out and I'll do it for free just leave!" I was unable to have a calm conversation with him or was he willing to come to a solution. He continued yelling, "MY MOM IS SICK TODAY". Now I have to pay someone else for my Free First Cleaning/Maintenance on a machine I bought there 6 months prior. I left the store visibly upset. Racks and shelves boast flowing, lacy tops and skinny jeans with high price tags. Home decor with scriptures range from signs to mugs to pillows and so forth. Most of the items in the store were actually my style and taste (I spent nearly an hour walking around); unfortunately none of it was really affordable for me. I did end up buying a small sideways cross necklace that cost $15. Not ridiculous but a little bit high. If someone bought me a gift from here, I'd be delighted, but not sure if my wallet could tolerate. Minus a star for the prices of the clothing. I know that a portion of the profit goes towards supporting high risk children but it doesn't specify the amount or the specific people being helped. [Ah-Ha! A quick search on their website says 1% of the profits go to an organization in Peru....] Plus, doesn't excessive consumerism sort of go against Christian values, anyway? The store is a bit of a contradiction. At least they're trying to spread a message.

I ended up buying $250 worth of items for $100. Which I'm very pleased as the booties I bought alone normally cost $70. The staff is super friendly and I love the Christian value in this store that comes out the moment you come inside. From the various bible versus to their Christian pop type of music playing in the background, which I listen to so i didn't mind it. I also saw that they had positive postings that I forgot to take a photo of, but they had the dressing room mirror say, "You are beautiful!" Something so simple is so much appreciated to witness, at least to me it is. Overall, the clothing racks have plenty of selections and are dispersed by sizes so it is easy to find your size. The store is very clean and smells wonderful, so much so, I ended purchasing their perfumes. If you've never been, check it out, especially during their sales.
