Excellent find while travel through this area…read more Freshly hand-crafted eats with so many choices, you'll want to study the menu before ordering 'cause there's so many fantastic options. Limited hours: 6:00 AM- 2:00 PM. Caring staff makes sure your order is prepared in a timely manner! Popular spot for the locals there tends to always be a line. Many customers order ahead and carry out. That's when you know it's a great place! They're proud of their New York style of bagels and unique creations & daily bakery delights. We saw a BBQ sauce blended bagel & so many more combinations of different blends. The sandwiches look delicious, as well as their cream cheese fillings. We wanted to get one but, we were meeting family for lunch in Myrtle Beach. Yet, we had to get some baked treats. Ordered the peach strudel, apple crumb strudel & butter cookie with apricot filling. The peach strudel was a little too sweet, the apple strudel was absolutely amazing and that butter cookie was literally the best thing ever! It wasn't the hard cookie crunch most are made. It was a soft, delicate light pillow of perfection. I could have ate a few more and refrained from taking a bag "to go" LOL Note- Many other local finds from jams to spreads. Can make great gifts. *They have on-site parking. *Specials on day old goods and daily discounted prices if anything is left over from a few days before. Highly recommend this adorable little store.

Every sandwich is fresh, flavorful, and tastes just like something you'd get in New York. The bagels are perfectly made, the portions are generous, and everything is consistently delicious. The customer service is outstanding, and Brian, the owner, truly goes above and beyond by personally checking on customers and making everyone feel welcome. That kind of hospitality makes the experience even better. And don't leave without trying their amazing iced coffee, it's the perfect addition to any breakfast or lunch. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for great food and friendly service! You are paying for quality food!!!

We were visiting for the weekend & decided to have brunch here because of the reviews…read more Unfortunately, it was just ok. I got the yogurt bowl & I love that they have this healthier option. It was okay - the granola was really good but the yogurt was very sour, and the berries were a little sour too because they weren't ripe. I also ordered a side of toast and sausage links. The toast was good (I mean how can you really mess up toast?) but I do wish they offer to add butter to it so the butter has time to melt when it's warm. I don't expect that but it is a nice touch when restaurants do it! The sausage was actually really good though and was probably my favorite part of breakfast. I really wasn't sure if I should give this place 3 or 4 stars but unfortunately the service was pretty bad so I settled on 3 stars. Our server didn't refill our drinks which is unfortunate, especially because drinks have gotten pretty expensive lately. Our check was also brought out before we were finished eating. I still had half of my meal left over so I thought it was weird. I had also wanted to get coffee to go but that didn't happen since our check was brought out. Overall, the food was just okay and the service didn't make our experience any better.

Management blames the computer system as if they don't have any control. Here's an example from last night: We had a $10 gift certificate. We were told to present it once we received our check. Our entire bill, including all food, drinks, taxes and charge for using a credit card totaled $67.02. I gave our waitress the gift certificate ($10) and our credit card. Our credit card was charged $58.73. I immediately spoke with the manager. She said that's the way the computer system works, but that she would give me the $1.50 out of her own tips. Of course, I didn't take her tip money, but this sort of story is typical of this establishment. Our group visits this restaurant on a regular basis and this is the same sort of story over and over again. They overcharge often enough to make one wonder, but they've got a good location and great kitchen staff, so everyone tends not sweat the small amounts of money they "steal" from their customers. The management is either incompetent or downright unethical--don't know which. If you can deal with that aspect, the rest of the experience there is good.

There are a few spaces in front of the door and more along the side of the building. We wound up parking in the rear across an alley in a grassy lot marked for parking. Turn to the right after you enter and go along the counter. There are two ordering stations depending on how busy they are. You will walk past their pastry cabinet so be prepared to increase your order. There is no designated waiting area after you place your order so try to find a place out of the way. There is a dedicated pick up window when they call your number. Pay attention to the numbers as they are called as the food is ready which is not necessarily in sequence. A better choice would be to call ahead as you will be able to pick up your order at the first part of the counter avoiding a lot of waiting. Seating is various tables. There is an outside seating area as well. Everything is pretty crowded together and if you are eating inside expect there will be other customers standing nearby waiting for their orders. We waited about 15 minutes for our order to be called. They have daily specials and the one when we were there was a bbq brisket sandwich with tater tots. There was a good amount of brisket on the sandwich. The meat was flavorful but not the best bbq I have had. The tots were cooked perfectly and piping hot. The roast beef melt was excellent with plenty of meat on an excellent bun. The bread was slightly crunchy outside and soft inside. Of course, standing by the pastry cabinet as we waited to order caused a white chocolate raspberry scone, a piece of baklava, a French toast muffin, and a pumpkin spice muffin to follow us home. All were excellent, with the French toast muffin and the white chocolate raspberry scone earning top praise. The staff was very friendly even though they were quite busy. Calabash Deli deserves to be on the list of top places to try when in the area.
