Ube Vanilla Latte
Taylor E.

Service was very rude today both when ordering and receiving my order. And on top of that my order was wrong but I did not even feel like letting the staff know because I was just over the entire experience. I wanted to try the new drinks on their instagram promotion and even showed them the post and they gave me a drink not even on the promotion when I specifically asked for a different flavor. I frequent Coffee Bean locations quite often but often find their service can be very "hit or miss". Disappointed by this encounter to say the least.

Love the matcha blended with Thai walls!! I'm obsessed literally. The location is perfect for makakilo residents and conveniently located in malama market. I would place my usual order and then go do some grocery shopping and then return with my drink ready to be picked up. I knocked off a star due to the high price of tje drink which comes out to almost $9 bucks yikes! What's good is that they sell their matcha powder in a bag. $9.99 for 1lb bag of matcha. I just need to get the measurements right bc at home it never tastes the same lol.

Ok, so we don't have this business from the state we were in so when we moved back home, my heart was so full! So, here goes.... This is the best location on O'ahu. The team here is so friendly. It is so conveniently located connected to the market so when you're coming home or heading out for or the day everything is right there. Thank you for the best quality in every drink we ever get from here! The blended coffee drinks are always awesome. Love this location so much!!

Non-fat vanilla latte purchased 2/22/23, about 6:45am.

Usually the best lattes BUT, not today. My cup was only 3/4 full. It tasted terrible and it wasn't hot. Just terrible! Please train your staff and improve the quality to what it was before this morning. There's no excuse for this. Thank you.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is connected to the Malama Market in Makakilo. Customers of the coffee shop can enter via Malama Market or through a separate entrance/exit door. There is a counter table with about four high chairs for individuals who tend to enjoy their drinks and lunch during breaks from work. Flavored coffee grains and tea grains are sold at the shop. There's even hydroflasks and coffee mugs for customers to purchase. Deli items and bakery goods can be found near the checkout counter. The few times I stopped by this location was to get a nice cold plantation iced tea. Once I even got the Cookies-n-cream drink on a Mo'jo Monday. Employees are always friendly and the shop was rarely busy during the times I went. More seating can be found outside on the side of the building. I believe there are two small tables and three tables with umbrella slots for customers who want to enjoy their drinks outside of the shop. If I am ever in the Makakilo vicinity at least now I know where to get some flavored tea drinks. It helps that I also have a stamp card for The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf locations.

Customer service was nice! but I just orderd a hot tea which maybe the cashier should have made because the barista was making all the complicated coffee drinks and it took about 15 minutes. Also i notice a lot of business let their place go during covid they still had got christmas specials up oh I got the ginseng perpement tea yummy

Lately, I feel like I'm walking around like a zombie. It's been over 2 months since I was able to sleep for 5 hours straight, due to my newest addition to my family. So if you try to approach me, be forewarned that if I have a blank stare my body is functioning on minimal sleep. So how do I cope? Coffee, coffee, coffee, M & M's, red velvet cupcakes, shave ice, li hung mui gummy bears, and other delectable sweets. Okay, okay, you caught me. I just have a sweet tooth. Moving on to the review. This Coffee Bean in particular is my ultimate favorite. For the spectacular view overlooking Kapolei, all the way to Diamond Head. At night the amazing view of the stars and the city lights. There is rarely a line and it's never jammed pack with people. They offer free Wi-Fi, so it's a awesome place to study, write a review on Yelp, or surf the web. Coffee Bean employees are always customer orientated. I get greeted right away with a smile and I never feel rushed. If I am looking at the menu someone usually offers some help. I don't feel like I'm just another person depositing money into a business. I truly feel like a valued customer. At other coffee shops they are talking to each other about all sorts of things. There's usually free samples of baked goods or coffee. They are cheaper then the competitor. They currently have a special running till April, Military Appreciation. The deal is 10 % off your whole purchase. I also like there stamp card. For every $1 that you spend you get a stamp. When it's filled you get to choose ANY SIZE drink for free :) My personal favorite here is the English Breakfast Latte. I'm drinking one as I write this review. If it wasn't offered as a free sample I would've never known of such a great pick me upper. You can pick any freshly brewed tea of your choice, they infuse it with vanilla, milk, and foam. There lattes are always up to par. At other coffee shops it's usually a miss. It taste like hot water, tinted with some flavor for $5. Arrrghh, the agony. For the coffee ice blended drink, I enjoy the Ultimate Vanilla blended with chocolate covered espresso beans. Of course with the whip cream and sprinkled with cinnamon. They also offer seasonal drinks that I adore. Flavors such as gingerbread, pumpkin spice latte, and peppermint latte. If your ever in the neighborhood make sure you stop by this coffee shop on top of the hill. It Rocks! : D

Lychee ice tea , whoa yummy!!

Convenient location for me because its just up the road from me. Up makakilo drive, shares space with Malama market. Parking is shared with malama market so when it gets busy parking sucks. Inside is clean, neat, and organized. Small but they do have seating outside. Coffee is better than the you know who. Love their different flavors for iced tea. Staff is nice and friendly. Pastry side was a bit empty, this was the only negative. So if u snooze you lose. Returning again because I just live down the street.

Multiple visits, mornings and early afternoons Pros: - quick service from veteran employees, only slower when training (but it's still pretty fast) - seasonal flavors and food items. My favorites are the teas, I stock up on Winter Dream when it's available - friendly staff, they always thank you and acknowledge your name which is awesome customer service - suggestion board from employees in case you have difficulty choosing a beverage -stamp card, a stamp for every $1 spent. Can redeem a full card for a beverage or food item - ATM just around the corner Cons: - parking can be challenging as it shares the lot with Malama market, but people are usually in and out to pick things up so the wait it not long Verdict: I love this place, I go at least once a week

The kama'aina fried rice was filled with lots of meat: bacon, spam, ham, and Portuguese sausage. It was pretty good. The pancake flight was okay. Would've been better if I could choose the pancakes. Overall, the lilikoi pancake was the best! I didn't too much favor the chocolate taro-haupia or the cookie butta lava. The Kalua pork omelette was good, but I wish there was more meat inside. All the portions were very generous. The only thing we didn't like was that everything was overloaded with onions. And I LOVE onions, but even I thought it was too much. For that reason, my family didn't care too much for their meals. Overall, we had a fair experience. Seating is a little tight, but we were still comfortable. The only inconvenience was the bathroom on the top floor, which can be difficult when you have little kids.

There's a few seats inside and as of this year they sell a few Knick knack things and have books for kids as well as board games. This visit was rather strange though we walked in and no one was at the counter. No bell to ring. We said hello a few times and we were ready to walk out. But one of the ladies from the nail salon was sitting at the table in the corner and we asked if they were open. She alerted someone in the nail salon and she came out promptly. This time around we ordered the mango sticky rice and D2 had the lava flow. I was curious about the mango sticky rice, bc it's blowing up all over the place here at various other places so I had to give it a try. I thought it was something new. Turns out it's just like mango sago that I get on the mainland. It was good though and very satisfying. Blended fresh mango, coconut milk, and mini sago pearls. D2 wasn't sure how she felt about her lava flow though. She asked what a lava flow is supposed to be and I told her coconut and strawberry. When I saw her drink it was more yellow and possibly pineapple?! She said it definitely tasted like pineapple more-so than coconut. Oh well maybe their interpretation is different. She drank it anyway and said at least she's tried it. We've been so many times I've lost count. They have a rewards system by just typing in your phone number.
