Finally something different from starbucks! As you walk in you are greeted with an array of merchandise and an enticing (and huge) menu. Staff is young, energetic and respectful. Chairs are set up inside for the convenience of a sit down study session or to catch up with an old friend, although at times it would seem the entire shop is listening in on your conversation haha! This place is usually pretty good but not sure what's going on today. Barista doesn't seem to know what a latte is (do you want it blended?) and the pumpkin/chocolate loaf was stale and hard. Customer service was absolute trash! This was my first time ever trying out the coffee bean and I can safely say that I will never go back. Starbucks will always be 1000x better. The cashier did not care to greet me or ask what I wanted after helping the person before me. She just pointed to me and said "you"......uh? I smiled and said hello...no response I would've gotten a better conversation if I were speaking to the wall instead. I then go on to ask if I can have just a simple strawberry frappe? (Never been here so I didn't know if you could customize drinks yourself like at Starbucks which is wayyy better) but she rudely says no and gives me an annoyed stare. It was a simple and genuine question once again it's my first time in a coffee bean. Then I ask if there was a pumpkin spice frappe choice and she quickly says yes and eagerly asks what size. You would have thought there was a line of people behind me but there wasn't it was slow and she had enough time to take my order and proceed smoothly. I just annoyed her so much with my harmless curiosity. My drink was gross by the way. Starbucks is always spot on with their pumpkin drinks and they always serve me with a smile. Very very bad service. Management needs to have a talk with these employees. I work in customer service myself and this just wasn't okay at all. We all have bad days but there's no need to release the tension on customers. I was being as nice as I could to this employee I see no reason as to why I was treated poorly. I won't be returning to this coffee bean or any other coffee bean location anytime soon and I will not recommend it to my friends. Two stars for the location and their actual product but minus stars for their employees and their paying attention to my order. Twice in a row now they have made my drink hot instead of over ice. The second time I said cold and over ice and also made sure it was rung up correctly. The drink was made hot again. The female employees treated me rudely after I waited 15 min for a cold drink and I asked if I had missed it somehow. Once she realized she made a mistake she didn't say a word and made the correct drink. Then she plunked it on the counter, took the hot drink and poured it down the drain dramatically. The thing that bothered me the most? Not the long wait and rudeness, but that she trashed a perfectly good drink without offering it to anyone. I Love Coffeebean but I am very disappointed with this location, I ordered coffee & chai tea, I was handed the coffee right away but I noticed the cups were barely filled 3/4, I asked for them to be full which she did but when I received my chai tea, (which I order at the north Hollywood location all the time) again barely 3/4 of a cup and very weak, I used to go to this location but I think I'll pass in the future. read more

I love finding the Mom & Pop shops and usually stay away from chains but Coffee Bean & Tea leaf is one I cannot resist. I haven't found any other coffee shop that uses the powders to flavors their drinks. Aside from that this location has a great staff as well! Its nice to have one of these up in Palmdale. I commute to LA for work so I get to have this every day during lunchtime, but its nite to be able to go in during the weekends and enjoy a nice ice blended! Love Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf products. Workers at this location are really helpful and diligent. They've also kindly added extra pumps, etc. if I felt like my drink needed an adjustment. I've definitely been places where baristas have given me "a look" or tried to talk their way out of correcting a drink order. That has never happened here. Workers are glad to correct anything, even if it's just a taste preference and not a mistake. We come here weekly! read more

The first thing I noticed about this CB&TL was how clean it was, the workers are always wiping up, sweeping, emptying trash bins and I can appreciate that. It's obvious to me that the owners take pride in their establishment. The workers are always very courteous and jovial which is totally opposite of what I have experienced with at Starbucks. The coffee is always good, I enjoy the White chocolate latte and blended coffee and the Mocha latte. read more

I know it is a chain, but it is also one of the only place I know of that has a kosher certification in the entire Antelope Valley. Great staff, terrific coffees and teas, plus delicious kosher morsels to munch on. A rare treat in the AV! read more

I have never been a big fan of coffee bean but recently while in Vegas I tried to coconut chocolate and fell in love. So I have been going to my local coffee bean and getting it. I have had such great customer service until today. I order my drink with soy and no whip as I am super lactose intolerant. The girl made my drink and added the whip. I told her I couldn't have the whip and she said "well I could scrape it off" I told her I'd prefer if she remade it because one drop of dairy and I'm gonna be sick she then said "You want me to remake the whole thing?" I said "yes please" she remade my drink and set it on the counter without saying my name or anything. I understand it's an inconvenience to have to remake the drink but I'm allergic to dairy and would rather not be sick all day because she added the whip. I feel she showed her irritation to much and should be more considerate. Especially when the barista who took my order put no whip on the order. read more

Usually I don't have a problem when I come here, today I came in and was greeted by the gentleman working( I'm sorry I didn't get your name but thank you!) . As I was about to order my coffee Adriana walked up to the register and I said hi she just looked at me. As we made eye contact I figured she was ready for me to order considering she didn't say a word to me. So I ordered and paid and that was it. She never said one word to me besides "would you like a receipt?" No hello, no how can I help you, no thank you. Nothing. I received my drink and she put it on the counter said what it was and walked away. Terrible terrible service Adriana. Meanwhile you're chatting to your coworkers super friendly. Maybe you should take the time to work on your customer service and greet your customers with some compassion.
