I'm a fast food worker myself so I understand when sometimes you're attitude isn't the best some days or if your not having a good day so I let it be first couple times I came. But it seems as if all the workers there are just plain rude I'm a simple person and get the same coffee I pay and always tip and ALWAYS get a rude worker never had I ever had a decent worker help me out lol read more

Rude cashier, but good drinks. What else should I say? Didnt get exactly what I wanted and I asked for no ice, but still got ice anyways. The drinks here have the best quality, hence the rating but I'm not a fan of the staff. Generally 9/10 visits, I encounter staff who appear disinterested in providing me service and more indulgent in conversing among themselves. I appreciate the few times where I did encounter friendly service but that is unfortunately rare. A drive thru would also be a great addition for those moments where time is limited. read more

When I am craving something different than Starbucks this is my go to place. I know it's not you mom and pop coffee shop, who I love to support also. The quality of coffee here is pretty good. The service needs some improving. Most visits it seems the staff are more interested in holding conversations with each other or visiting friends instead of the customer. Man, the playlist here is always perfect to work to - I never put my headphones on! (Ceremony by New Order playing right now). They also have caffeine and sugar-free drinks unlike evil Starbucks. And electrical outlets everywhere! It's the perfect cafe to get some work done in if there's space. It isn't that big, but I always find a table. read more

Decided to try it out when someone mentioned they had a great selection out side of just coffee. I was surprised they had just a wide selection as Starbucks with similar pricing but with baristas that seemed less rushed as the Starbucks ones. The smoothies are great and it's less croweded which is great. read more

I love the tea selection here! I love that the bags of tea are made with whole tea leaves and other little bits of goodness... not like other coffee/tea locations that have mass manufactured bags of tea with contain some type of sugar and other unnecessary soy ingredients. The service has always been kind and the flavors of tea of delicious. The hubby and I enjoy coming here to relax in the big giant leather chairs or hang out by the fire pit. This coffee shop is clean and the service is great. I come in usually to do work and every time I walk away getting a tom done. The shop has a great atmosphere and is overall a great place to focus and relax. I had never heard of Coffee Bean until I moved to the west coast and I love it. As i was walking in, a customer told me she forgot her mask as my fiancé was running back to the car to get our masks. i walk in and a rude hispanic lady screamed you need a mask to come in, get out now. i could hear the nervousness in her voice like she was waiting to yell at me as i was talking to the other customer whom didn't have a mask, was served and walked out with her coffee. This customer verbally expressed to my fiancé and I she forgot her mask too. I explained that my fiancé was grabbing our masks from the car, but i felt like she discriminated against us because we are different ethnicity? I don't understand why she served the other customer without a mask but the moment I step into the store she screamed at me to get out? Put it this way, i decided to go to starbucks even though i prefer coffee bean and I will not return to this location while i'm visiting in California. You just lost my business and I will tell everyone about my experience. Discrimination is NOT okay. read more

The drinks are good, better than Starbucks as long as you actually read the menu and don't order like you're in Starbucks! (A macchiato at CBTL is not the same as a macchaito from Starbucks so do your research.) I used to love this place! I used to love the employees and the atmosphere. It used to be like walking into "Cheers!" (even if the employees barely knew you or didn't know you at all they always made you feel welcome!) Recently, however, almost every time I've gone in I've had a horrible experience. With the exception of a few (and I mean a VERY FEW!) employees, the service sucks! Honestly, If I want to be treated like crap, I'll go to the valley and walk around in ratty old clothes. The drinks are good but not worth being treated so badly! I'd seen employees treat customers badly before, getting snotty when they ordered a grande frapachino or not explaining the difference between a Starbucks drink and a CBTL drink, but it's gotten so much worse as of late. Before I stopped going often, I found I was listening to more and more personal conversations and hearing more and more of the employees "talking s###" about each other with other employees and even customers. That's right, the employees were including customers in their work drama!!!!! I went in to the store about a month ago and it was the final straw for me. The manager stood at the register and not once did he make eye contact with me or make me feel welcome. The manager!!!! It had happened with other employees before, being tired or just being a young adult. But, when the adult manager treats you like that, it's time to move on. After being treated like that, it took close to 15 minutes for my drink to be made because my order was taken then forgotten about. The barista did not know that I'd ordered a hot drink in the midst of the cold ones she was blending. It wasn't her fault but I was still upset. Instead of apologizing when I said, "excuse me, I ordered a hot drink a while ago." (that's literally all I said!) she rolled her eyes at me and said "well, can't you see, it's busy?" It wasn't that busy. It was consistent but it wasn't busy by any definition of the word. I've worked in food service, I know what busy is! And I was willing to forgive her because it was not her fault that she hadn't been told my drink was there. But the way she handled it was entirely inappropriate!!! Just thinking about it now, a month later, makes me angry! In short, after that long winded rant, I will not be going back to this store and I am changing my rating from a 5 to a 1 to reflect just how poor the service is now! I've got a gift card that I will be using at a different store where I hope I will get better service! read more

Did not like this place at all. The staff weren't sure what they were doing and we had to repeat our order five times. My husband and I are avid coffee drinkers and we were looking to try something new... Totally disappointed. The atmosphere was okay, except the weird propaganda on the wall by the bar. Why does my iced latte always taste different every time? It's like they use an old shot. Sometimes it's right on, other times it tastes watered down. Best coffee in town. Service is quick and friendly. The Vanilla Ultimate is my favorite. The snacks are tasty too. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming with plenty of comfortable seating. Nice side fire pit outside on cold nights and there's umbrella tables with chairs outfront. read more
