Such a fun Harry Potter themed spot. The wizarding drink menu is creative, I tried the Horcrux latte and it was delicious. The butterbeer latte was sweet and creamy, perfect for any Potter fan. Cozy seating inside, lots of cool decor and details to look at. Only giving 4 stars because it was pretty crowded and service was a little slow. Also the seating area is small so it can be hard to find a spot. Still a great place for fans and the drinks are solid. Will be back to try the Granger. read more

I've been wanting to try this quaint little coffee shop for awhile, and I'm from San Antonio! a friend and avid Harry Potter fan posted it awhile back and ever since I knew I needed to try. It's so unique from its eclectic decor and theming, to its wizarding coffee menu! I'm not even a crazy HP and I truly appreciated this place. We need more like it in SA! I decided to try something that tasted close to butter beer (yummyyy) so I opted for the honey butter brew (only comes iced which is perfect because that's what I like!) with oatmilk instead of half & half. The only thing it was missing is a little whip cream & drizzle of butterscotch or caramel. Otherwise , flavor was on point and not too overly sweet. Perfect amount of flavor & sweetness. I was a little disappointed in the lack of pastries available. I got there around 10am and they only had 3 individual pastries left so I got what I could. I don't recall the price for each, but they were delicious! Smaller than they look in the pictures because they were devoured in just 3-4 small bites, lol. It would be nice if they had more pastries on standby in case of busy season (especially considering it's summer and I swear all of Texas travels to CC at least once!) Lots of families were enjoying this spot so it's definitely a popular place! The side of town is questionable, with many homeless people standing by the door way begging for money which was off putting but not the owners fault. It did make me nervous to go by myself in there, I just waited until they left. Parking is all in the back and is very small so just a heads up to patrons that you may need to park somewhere else nearby or just circle the building a few times until someone leaves. My next trip corpus will absolutely include the mugg in my itinerary so I can try more delicious concoctions! read more

I ordered the special of the day, a drink called Phoenix Tears (coffee, hot honey, cinnamon, and vanilla). Unfortunately, the flavor combination didn't work well, and it was served at room temperature--disappointing if you expect hot coffee. I also ordered an apple muffin, which was served cold. After asking for it to be warmed up, the edges came out hot but the center was still cold. The muffin also tasted stale, as if it had been sitting out since the previous day. I didn't finish either the drink or the muffin. The café itself has a quirky, cool vibe, and the drink names are creative, but the quality of the food and drinks didn't live up to the atmosphere. Service wasn't attentive either--although three staff members were present, they seemed more focused on personal conversations than on customers. Overall, the experience was disappointing. I would not recommend this spot for coffee or food. I am not including photo of Plain Cup with their name since that does not stand out either. read more

Service was a little slow but that is to be expected when only two people are running the show. It was ok because it gives you time to walk around and see everything in there. Saw this shop on Instagram and happened to be in the area for a work conference, just knew I had to stop by! It's truly an ode to all things Harry Potter. The drinks and pastries are Harry Potter themed and also very tasty! So many little nods in every direction you look and the staff was so wonderful. The parking lot is in the back of the building and a quick walk around to the front. Easy access to get in and out either direction from traffic. Highly recommend stopping by if you're a Potter fan. read more

We visited this located on December 17, 2025. My wife is a Harry Potter fanatic and after many years of friends recommending this coffee shop to us, we decided to give it a try. I was underwhelmed to say the least. While the decor was cute, service seemed a little slow. There was one barista and us two in the shop. While we waited, we got a chance to look around at all the merch. I ordered the child's butterbeer frappe because quite honestly trying new places is tough. My wife ordered the Bellatrix Oreo cookie latte. Unfortunately, after getting our drinks and leaving we noticed that the coffee tasted sour. It was hard to be able to taste anything beyond that. While the butterbeer frappe was good it's the typical butterscotch frappe. I don't know if we'd go back... but I wish them all the best. read more

This is a must for any HP fan!!!! Look for the printed menus hanging on the wall. This place is just fabulous!!! I love the decor and they even have wizards chess!! I ordered the horcrox without hazelnut and my daughter got the campfire. I totally love how mine tasted and my daughter also loved hers. The ladies were very nice and answered all of our questions. There is such a variety of flavors that it would take multiple visits over months to try them all. I honestly wished we lived closer to this amazing cafe! Unfortunately there was only one pastry available on a Monday morning which I thought was weird since they advertise various pastries on their instagram. But the chocolate coffee cake we tried was good and so was my lavender matcha! There was only one person working but she was nice and helpful. So happy we were able to visit the Coffee Mugg when visiting corpus. It was so neat how the the whole thing was Harry Potter themed. We visited close to closing hour so didn't get to stay too long but we got some great pics and I was able to try one of their iced coffees. I had the Cinnful Tonic. Just the right amount of mocha and cinnamon. They had sweets as well but they were already putting them away. We'll definitely visit again to try something else on the menu. Staff were friendly. They had some cute stickers but the one I wanted was sold out. If you're visiting corpus you must stop by this shop especially if you're a Harry Potter fan. read more

Amazing flavors for the coffee. In fact, they have the largest menu for coffee I have ever seen! You can get some hot and some iced or both, and the strength of the coffee is right on point. The decor, furniture, paintings and other items on the wall create unique environment. It is a very interesting place to visit. They even have a table with chess! However, the counter where the barista placed the utensils and blender that she used to create those flavored coffees was dirty. She wiped the wooden counter with dirty looking "tired" rag. The wood is porous, thus, all the bacteria collect in it. The barista was not friendly either, telling me to step away and she "will call your name when the coffee is ready". Not a smile, not wishing a good day, nothing. I have to take away one star. The second time I came for the coffee, there was another barista with much better attitude. read more

I absolutely love this coffee shop. If a friend tells me they're going to Corpus, it is literally the first place I recommend. It's a necessary pit stop during any weekend adventure to the beach! Their drinks are sweet and fun. Who wouldn't want to enjoy a nice Butterbeer butterscotch latte while lounging on a chaise lounge next to a buncha Harry Potter decor?? The barista was so knowledgeable and knew the menu by heart. He was wonderful, kindhearted, and made me want to come back! After several recommendations and the Fall season approaching, I went with the Buck Beak. I subbed milk for almond milk. They have plenty of dairy-free substitutions for only 75 cents. My drink consisted of pumpkin spice, white mocha and cinnamon. The sweetness was subtle and the flavor was amazing. It was made to perfection! The customer service was inviting, helpful, and pleasant! I highly recommended friends and family to give The Coffee MUGG a visit before I even left the parking lot! A necessary stop every time the homie and I hit Corpus. The décor is so cute there are so many nods to the Potterverse. Some of the art is really pretty and the drinks are all aptly named. I had the Unicorn Blood way back, a lemonade swirled with I think it was lavender? Very tasty and refreshing before heading to the beach but my new go-to is the Goblin's Blood, an iced matcha latte with a caramel swirl. The treats are always good, too. Themed birthday cupcakes and decadent, gold dusted oreo balls dressed as the golden snitch make for a photo-worthy snack. There's a lot of construction in the area so keep an eye out because if you blink, you might miss it! read more

Fun environment and themed drinks, but the execution isn't great. We went on Saturday morning and the lone barista said she was 20 minutes behind on orders. The pastry case was well stocked with a variety of pretty themed sugar cookies, but not much for a filling breakfast. We opted to come back the next day instead of wait. We returned Sunday afternoon to no line. Our order got mixed up, but the bruja coffee was tasty. It was a fun ambiance, but more of a one time trip for us. read more

My family has been coming here for years, and I guess popularity has gotten the better of them. The so-called "barista" was unwilling to make us a macchiato and was extremely dismissive about making something outside of his comfort zone (coffee with milk ). On top of that, when we asked for artificial sweetener, he told us in a very dismissive manner that all they had was what was on the counter: a white sugar dispenser and a bowl with packets of brown sugar. To the owner: You own a service-oriented coffee shop. Do well and train your staff to be grateful for owning a successful business and learn to actually make basic coffee. The economy is changing, and if you continue acting like this, you're going to go out of business. That being said, I probably won't be coming back, and I will probably stop recommending, or at least, warning this place to all our visitors. Good luck! read more
