Still a great coffee shop... but I'm not sure if I stopped in on an off day, or if with their move to pedestrian coffees they've changed their chai. It didn't have nearly the amount of flavor as it once did; in fact, it was somewhat bland. Bit of a bummer if they have indeed changed their blend.

The Coffee Studio is my favorite little local coffee spot in Andersonville. The shop is spacious and has ample seating options. The big, storefront windows allow for tons of natural light to brighten up the place. The vibes are chill and the perfect spot to catch up on some work or enjoy a sip and treat in peace.

Maple Latte With A Sesame Bagel And The Vegan Cream Cheese

From the looks of things inside, this is a very popular place to get coffee in Andersonville. It's crowded as crap every time here. One reason is because there's limited seating. Even with all the coffee shops around here, it still gets a crowd. That must mean it's pretty good, and it is, with not just the coffee but some bagels and more. After heading up to Andersonville to look around, we stared off by coming here to get coffee. It was already crowded early in the morning. There was actually a need to wait for open seats. A few seats are along the counter. There's also a few chairs and couches, but not a whole lot of tables. She got a cappuccino. The coffee is about $3 for the cheapest stuff. I got the Maple Latte. It's about $5 for a medium. Also we got bagels. It's about $4 with a spread. Among the choices is vegan cream cheese. This is similar to the real thing, just softer. Good place for a light breakfast. It gets busy early and often. There's lots of other coffee shops around this but it seems to be the most popular if looking at the crowd size and the waiting.

Small coffee shop. Came here to grab a quick drink from the cold. The place isn't busy for getting a drink, but the number of seats is filled up here. The entire shop is visible from the entrance, so you can see if there is an open spot. My favorite part of this place is that it is pretty quiet beside the music. Great if you want to read compared to other shops.

Why did you change your yogurt? It used to be so good--now it's thin and sour. It tasted so bad, I couldn't finish.

Why did you change the style of yogurt you serve!? I used to love your Greek yogurt--it was delicious, creamy, and offered 18 grams of protein. It was my favorite healthy breakfast. But you switched to a soupy, sour tasting brand from Trader Joe's that not only tastes bad but has only 7 grams of protein. PLEASE go back to your former brand. Your coffee is still great and your baristas are the best--but I want my healthy breakfast back!

Iced Vanilla Oatmilk Latte and Double Chocolate Chips Muffin.

One of my favorite coffee shop in Andersonville. I'm on my day I come here. My go to drink is Large Iced Americano or Large Nitro Cold Brew. But today I order an iced medium vanilla Oatmilk latte. With a double chocolate chips muffin. The baristas are nice and friendly. I will bring boyfriend back to hang out in the patio this spring.

Lovely environment and service with ample outdoor seating for its size. I hope the barista was having an off day. I had a meh cortado. Everything else is good here

I've driven past The Coffee Studio often every time remembering that I want to come here, well today I made it my walking goal lol (I don't really enjoy waking aimlessly, need to have a destination and this was it!). The staff is very nice, friendly but not over the top like they're faking, the Studio is bigger than I expected (not huge but a lot more seating inside than I anticipated), and has a small area for outdoor seating on the sidewalk. The coffee's well balanced, no sugar needed (from someone who almost always has to put sugar in her coffee but tastes it first to make sure), which I prefer. The pastry was fresh, didn't feel/taste like it's been sitting there for a few days. Definitely doing this again.

The americano was nothing special but refreshing on a summer day. The seasonal strawberry matcha was a bit disappointing, due to the lack of matcha flavor (the color was not very vibrant, and the matcha powder itself was likely not super high quality or oxidized) and sweetness. However, I tried the strawberry corn cookie, and it was one of the most delicious cookies I've had. Corn in dessert has been one of my favorites, and the texture of the corn with the strawberry icing to make a sweet and slightly tart summer treat was incredible! Everyone working there was super kind, and if I had more time to hang around, I would definitely bring a laptop and work here.

On our way to class recently, we stopped by The Understudy Coffee and Books for the first time to…read morecheck it out. The coffee shop was bustling and almost full around 12:30 pm. We were lucky to grab the last small round table for two.  The pastry case was only 40% stocked at this point. We were happy that they still had our favorites -- 2 almond croissants ($14 for 2) and a cappuccino ($5 + $0.50 Oat Milk) to go.  The cashier was very friendly, patient, and welcoming. The decor of the store is modern and charming.  There were a variety of seating options, and many customers were working on their laptops while enjoying their drinks, giving the café a cozy yet lively atmosphere. The bookstore occupies about half of the space and features an impressive collection of books focused on drama and theatre.  If you are interested in theatre, this thoughtfully curated bookstore is for you. We noticed a sign indicating that The Understudy partners with Defloured Bakery, which also partners with a long list of businesses, including another coffee shop in the neighborhood that we frequent a lot. We have enjoyed almond croissants and other baked goods at that café very often, they were just as delicious and large, since they were sourced from the same bakery. However, The Understudy charged $7 for an almond croissant, while the other café charged only $4.50 for the exact same pastry. That's a significant price difference. The cappuccino was another slight disappointment. It was only lukewarm rather than hot, although I am not sure whether the oat milk substitution may have affected the temperature. Judging by how popular The Understudy was during our visit, it's clear that many people appreciate its ambiance, curated bookstore, and friendly service. If those qualities are important to you, you may find the higher prices well worth it.

I figured the limited hours had something to do with the menu. Now that you all have gotten rid of the DJ table and added more chairs, it does feel more like a standard cafe! I'm looking forward to the menu changes. Thanks for your consideration! Previous review: I really enjoy their beverages and I keep coming back. That being said, there is almost no price transparency. The only prices they have on their menu are for the THC additions. I've mentioned this to the owner twice (he's a cool guy) but he has always sort of shrugged it off. It bothers me every time I'm in. Sometimes my latte with oat milk comes out different prices. Price transparency is so important for consistency . Not including the prices is a bit elitist, especially when the average drink is $6-$8. You should want folks to come in and comfortably order what they can afford. I hope this suggestion is taken into consideration. The drinks are good and like I said, I keep coming back but this has been a sticking point for me for a year plus.
