Louie was amazing! She did my hair and makeup for my Haldi function at home and I was so happy with the final look! She did a nice soft glam while incorporating the flowers for the Haldi look. I had such a hard time finding a makeup artist for my South Indian wedding, especially after my originally artist canceled two months before the wedding! But I'm so so glad I ended up with Juanita. From the moment I did my trial I felt like I was in good hands - Juanita listened to what I wanted, was open to tweaking and trying new things, and was super responsive to my edits over email after the trial. Responsiveness is SO important when it comes to wedding vendors, and Juanita was A+++! I was really particular about having someone who could deliver a traditional South Indian (Telugu) bridal look, and I was so happy with the way my makeup turned out: glam, yet made me look like myself - a million dollar version of myself! Juanita was also understanding of the ceremony timeline, which included a quick saree and lipstick change. The eye/face makeup she did worked beautifully with both saree colors, and the simple lipstick change made it look like a totally fresh look! Juanita's team also did a poolajada, which was okay - it looked great from the front all day long, but by the end of the 2h ceremony + 2h reception it was looking pretty straggly and limp from behind. Not a huge deal breaker (I didn't even realize it later until I saw pictures), but something to keep in mind if that's especially important to you. I had a full South Indian Telugu Wedding (2 sari changes) followed by a another wedding ceremony in a church. Ended the day with my reception in an indian lengha. The team was ready to go from 2AM - 6PM for myself, my MIL/SIL, mother and two family aunties. Makeup for ever look was perfect (makeup never smudged in the heat). My artist, Louie, was very understanding of my look and took into consideration my skin condition. I loved my look and every look was so distinct. Prior to the wedding, conversation was prompt and very professional. For any south indian chicks, they will do a fantastic job with sari draping, jewelry setting and have experience with poolajada. Pricing was very reasonable compared to other artists for the time/number of looks I needed. One big thing for me was I to not look like a different person with makeup (some artists can do this). Glamorous By Juanita truly went above and beyond and I can't say enough about how happy I was with booking this team for my brother's wedding. (I'm still waiting on pictures and am kinda the worst at them but i included a few to hopefully still show off their perfect work) if they'll still have me after all the headaches I caused, I'd probably only book with her in the future. They handled everything so smoothly, and quick to adapt. Juanita and her each one of her artists provided extraordinary service. And i mean the whole point is to look amazing and i really felt so pretty. The makeup was done to my liking and hair as well. Very receptive to tweaking and changing to get you the perfect look as long as you're reasonable. They still worked hard to stay in the time slots and get you to your events on time. And can I say I was transformed..I have had my own personal health struggles and so I was self conscious about my lack of hair and other things that weren't making me look my best. When I say you would have had no idea, you really wouldn't. People genuinely didn't recognize me, (ouch LOL but still) and i looked like a healthy normal person at my complete best after a great makeup artist. They were patient and worked with me, first event not using extensions still doing a great job so i was comfortable with it. Then providing them last minute ( which was SO kind of them under short notice ). Every artist was thoughtful and a genuine person. They were patient with making sure each step of the makeup process was to my and my mother's liking before moving on. Indian weddings are chaos from people barging around, to changing times a bit, Glamorous by Juanita truly excelled. Their service really couldn't be matched. From the fact that i had booked with her back in 2019 for a 2020 wedding and stayed in brief communication she still picked the ball right up when we finally had my brothers wedding this year 2022. This review has been sitting in the back of my head because i knew i could not just not write a review for the such great service. Using Glamorous by Juanita for all of my wedding related events has been one of the best decisions I made. I have been in touch with Juanita for the past few months now. From the moment I met her during my trial, I felt extremely comfortable with her. She understood both my skin and the vision I had in mind.
