Our A/C also went out last summer and it took about a week in the middle of summer to get it fixed. This year our dryer doesn't want to work and it has taken maintenance roughly a month to try to fix the dryer. It's been a pain having to dry clothes in the apartment especially since we will get fined if we line dry it on our patio. The apartments also decided to charge for the pool which is ridiculous in my opinion. It's only a dollar, but after living here for 2 years and having to go through rent increases then this. It's just not ideal. We also got an email from the complex telling us that we were parked in a reserved spot (even-though we were not) that is not reserved for anyone but that we could park there for $25 a month if we wanted...it's not a covered spot either. It just says reserved. They try to do events and stuff and honestly this place could be worse but I have not been very excited to live here this passed year. Then when moving out, we had them walk through the apartment to let us know what was wrong with the place. They said everything looked good and that we shouldn't be charged for anything. Then after moving out we got charged hundreds of dollars for the old carpet that they hadn't even had cleaned before we moved in. Very shady business and they try to undermine you and get you at every turn. Do not recommend them if you can avoid it.

Neighbors and staff check on her. The grounds are so well kept and all the updates in the apartment impress her visitors when they see her apartment. I highly recommend this community. Car Stolen - They sent the corporate response but then they worked at the securing of the gates and added and repaired cameras. It was noticed. Thank you Apartment break in - They sent the corporate response. However, they went a step beyond. They had door armours installed on all the homes at no cost to the residents. This was definitely a step up from anything expected. Fire Alarm - The system apparently malfunctioned and went off in the middle of the night. They sent the response but then called in two different companies to inspect , repair and confirm that this would not happen again. This property has amazed me every step of the way. They listen to what you are saying and your concern. Then the response is quick and is beyond the expectation. We lived in an apartment in Tanglewood. It was a nice complex. However, we had apartment break ins, cars stolen, bicycles stolen, attempted stabbing and nothing was done to improve security or show any empathy toward a resident. They did the corporate response and then basically told you it was your problem and we are not responsible or liable. I hope we all appreciate what we have with Camden Plaza and the team. It looks modern, the amenities are nice, the staff is friendly, and the location is hard to beat. I have lived here for 2.5 years, and the reality is different. This place was built 2016-2017 and clearly by the lowest bidder. In the time I have been here, my air conditioner has broken 13 times (really, 13). I've had a major water leak that flooded my closet and left us without some interior doors and drywall for a month. We've been moved out of our apartment for a week for them to do major construction for defects from when the place was built. I average at least one broken thing a month. The grills don't always work, once a month the gym is a sauna. Water leaks from the ceiling. The list goes on and on. The maintenance team is very responsive, but they are hamstrung by management that is more concerned with saving money and doing as little as possible. For example, today the manager told me the AC is not broken, it just doesn't work when it's hot out. Got an issue after hours? Not their problem they will tell you, even though they live here. With all the great apartments being built in this area, it's hard to see what 1 Hermann Place offers that the others don't. Move here if you like to be frustrated. Move somewhere else if you want to come home and not deal with maintenance.

The line staff at the building is wonderful -- from the attentive and caring concierges (Jennifer, Stephen...), to the helpful shuttle driver, Aaron, to the rental agents, Jackie, Crystal and Eysha. The building is lovely and the location is wonderful. But when there was a roof leak that flooded several apartments, after several days of equivocation, it was determined that I needed to move to another unit. I, and all my possessions, were transported to a unit which had never been cleaned of construction dust, and never been made fully ready for occupancy. But rather than try to make things right as soon as possible, the manager, Carrie, deflected responsibility, dragged her feet and made the whole experience pretty miserable. When I left several weeks later, the washing machine had finally been hooked up to water, the dishwasher had also been connected to water supply, the dead circuits in the master bedroom had been activated, and after about a week's delay, the apartment had been cleaned of sheet-rock dust. But the ice-maker was never made functional, Carrie never apologized for any inconvenience, and she remained as supercilious and rude to me as I observed her being to her staff. She spoiled what would otherwise have been a singularly positive experience in Houston.

I was also contacted by them ONE time and given false hope about approval, only to be told every day that they didn't have an answer (mostly due to the owner not answering them). Today I went up to get a final answer, and a whole new staff was there. He called the owner and she answered immediately, and without hesitation said we were denied based off of poor credit. Apparently we would've needed a credit score of 650 to be approved, yet there was absolutely no mention of this when we applied. How can a company take your money and give high approval odds if it was based off of credit the entire time? Can't believe we waited two weeks to be told no, and I can't believe I had to go up there and get the info out of them. Very suspicious behavior. Do not waste your time or money on this poorly ran complex.
