It was flavorful but hard to swallowing. Very cloying.Hubs ordered the Avocado Omelette and said it was ok but nothing spectacular. It came with 2 hash browns which is a bit of a turnoff because we know it's frozen and refried. I ordered the One-Eyed Pete and ordered the bacon well done. The eggs grilled on to the toast was a cute idea. I didn't get my bacon well done and I also got 2 hash browns. It's a bit of a turnoff to get frozen hash browns as a side dish. Fun, Yummy, Affordable, and BYOB. Loved this place. It was recommended by a local, and we were glad we had the heads up. The wait staff was very friendly, and accommodating. The atmosphere is very eclectic and charming. And the food was soo tasty. It's all gourmet comfort food. My girlfriend and I split an avocado salad, which was fresh and delicious. I had a burger with bbq sauce and bacon with a side of sweet potato fries. It was amazing. And my girlfriend had the fish taco's, which she loved. I don't even know where to begin Service is terrible here. The owner took my order and told me 15 minutes after 20 minutes I returned and the food was not ready. Actually they accused me of not paying for my food and then had to remake and do the entire order over again. It's really embarrassing to be accused of not paying for food. Happily I showed them the receipt and the were extremely confused about what happened. I even tipped the lady when I paid. I mean this is really poor quality service. You make the customer wait and then accuse them of stealing? The food was extremely sloppy burger with tons of mayonnaise and soft greesy French fries. Food was fine, but not great. We were disappointed bc the descriptions on the menu made it seem like it was going to be unique and different than a diner. It wasn't. I ordered a ham and gruyere omelette with fresh herbs. There weren't any herbs at all in the omelette. We also ordered the breakfast burrito and it was a pressed sandwich, so more like a panini. It was our fault that we didn't read the description well enough, but potatoes, eggs, and ham in a burrito? There wasn't any rice, beans, fresh cilantro, or chorizo, the usual staples in a burrito. Also, the burrito didn't come with any salsa or typical burrito-type sauces like guacamole or sour cream. We asked for salsa (since it said it came with it on the menu) and they eventually brought it. Unfortunate, it wasn't good; it tasted like a bland generic jug salsa--it lacked fresh tomatoes and cilantro. Also, the bacon was so burnt it was black and our children's eggs looked like plastic and tasted rubbery. Both were extremely over cooked. As I mentioned, our breakfast wasn't terrible; it just wasn't anything special. Maybe they were having a bad day. Or, maybe we ordered the wrong things. I highly recommend this place! It's BYOB, which is fantastic, and the decor is really cool. Our server was friendly and had great advice. They do not have appetizers so we ordered a side of mac and cheese with bacon as our starter. It's served in a silver pot, and I thought this was inventive and fun. This completely satisfied my cravings. Walking in on a Saturday afternoon wasn't sure what to expect considering the person that had recommended this place to me is a friend of the owner. Thanks to Yelp we were able to find this restaurant during our visit for a friends wedding at The Breakers. The place runs extremely slow, I would recommend sending up someone to add your name to the wait list and they text you when the table is ready. It's a super trendy spot with unique menu options. The staff was friendly and polite but things move slowwwwwww here. It's frustrating watching a restaurant run so slow when they have the potential to "rock it". We waited nearly 45 mins for two burgers! They don't "turn" their tables like they could. My burger personally was amazing. I ordered the "Monthly Burger"- a Panko encrusted turkey burger finished off with arugula, raspberry vinaigrette and Brie cheese... Amazing! I also had a side salad with my burger and it was very good. They had so many items that I wanted to try, which made ordering hard. Came here yesterday evening for an early dinner to cure my MDW hangover. Portions were large, so I'm glad I chose to share plates with my group, and ingredients were pretty fresh. The menu was exciting and my brother really wanted their chicken & waffles, first time we went they could not serve it in the morning, next time they were out of it, 3rd time he actually got it and it came out cold. I've seen a couple complaints about parking, but the atmosphere of Manasquan itself is so quaint that even on a chilly night I didn't mind walking a block to browse the store fronts. I love onion rings and didn't see them as a dish on the meal (only one a top a burger), yet they were able to make me an order no problem as an appetizer. We had onion rings, fried pickles, and wings with the committed sauce. Only complaint were the pickles could have been fried crispy, rather a little soggy, perhaps too small of a container. But all three plates were flavorful! The committed sauce had a spicy kick with a sweet note at the end. I myself ordered the bacon Brie and dog burger with sweet potato waffle fries. The fries portion were very generous and nice and crispy. The burger itself was so freaking good. I actually hate brie cheese on its own but order it on the whim- so glad I did! I also had the cookie dough pancakes, which our waitress was kind enough to offer as a kids size since I was having to entrees! They were absolutely amazing. The pancake itself was so sweet and fluffy, the cookie dough on top just took them over the top. Now that I'm done with the review, I take it back. They deserve the 5 full stars! I'm obsessed with this place! Unique menu and the food is great every time. I've only been for breakfast so far but plan on having dinner there soon. My friend got the french toast the other day and it was literally the best french toast we had both ever tasted. I'm a fan of the chicken and the pig, personally. Delicious jam and different kinds of cheeses which I like a lot. Love that they give you individual thermos's of coffee too, and the coffee is actually good! (I'm really picky) The food is so fresh and tastes like it was just prepared -- 5 stars for the food! The only problem I've had is the service which is why this lost a star...one time we waited 45 mins for our check and we barely saw the waitress our whole meal. In such a small place I think that's kind of un-excusable. But I'll be honest that was only one time and I can't punish the whole restaurant for one bad waitress. Additionally, though, mostly every time the condiments are not filled properly and we have to go to other tables to get sugar, etc., and they don't seem to turn tables fast enough. I've only gone on weekends so far and there is always a wait -- obviously not their fault, but they should work on turning those tables faster once people get up to help lessen the wait time. The burgers are offered at different temperatures but the patties are thin and both of ours came out well done (think fast food burgers that offer no choice). It's has a good menu with some creative sides and as well as it's staple...burgers. Burgers with many topping choices but the patties themselves lacked and flavor. Food service came a little slow.
