Mimi's Fiesta Bowl. So good and cheap.
    David C.

For what you get for your money, I think the prices for the food are as about as good as you're going to get. I've been ordering "Mimi's Fiesta Bowl", my last couple of times and at under 600 calories and only $16.00, I'll definitely make that my go to order even if I'm not watching my diet. I like that they have two open bar areas to choose from. I've had their wings and the Prime Rib sandwich is also a favorite of mine. I honestly can't really find anything not to like about the place after visiting with friends at least a few times over the last year. Less than 10 minutes away, cheap and comfortable. A lot of places have shut down over the years and I really miss a couple of them. Miller's is a really great option for me.

The service was great. The food quality was like a crossover of Chilli's & Applebee's. The zingers are very good. The entrees were just ok. It's a good place to come sit at the bar and have some appetizers. Also child friendly dining.

Went to Millers Ale House for the first time. Food was excellent and plentiful. My friend and I both had the Cobb Salad, fresh and enough for 2 people. My other friend had the prime rib, 12oz. Looked delicious and it was done to her taste and perfection. Normally we don't have desserts, but we decided to splurge. Good choices on our end. Service was very good, and our waitress helped us with the menu choices. The ambiance is typical of a bar but it was clean and we weren't sitting on top of one another. Good choices on our end

The Moscow mule was quite good especially for the price. I did find that the fajitas were a bit bland but that was almost to be expected given the menu so I can't be too disappointed. One shout out to our waitress was that my husband has food allergies and she was very thorough with what he could and could not have and communicated well.

The service was super, Alannah was ON. Shrimp/chicken bowl was excellent as well as the half rack and fried shrimp. My margarita was 3.99. Not bad for a House Tequila. Non-alcoholic drinks are somewhat high $4. We ate on the patio section ( indoor). There are also tables for outdoor dining. The main area reminds me of Brick House Tavern in Tinton Falls. This Ale House is the first one down the Shore area. I know there's one in Woodbridge.

The restaurant was located in a multi-floor home on Wesley Lake, just around the corner from the hustle and bustle of Cookman Avenue. The first floor was more of a bar and lounge, and they had a live jazz band on the evening we visited. We checked in with the hostess and were escorted up to the second floor dining room, which was a charming spot that was breezy and comfortable, yet refined. The floor also had its own bar. Our server was on top of things, but was also clearly newer to the place. Regardless, once we got settled, she took our drink orders, which had taken us some time to decide on since the menu was creative and vast. I went with A Sidecar Named Desire, which included Courvoisier VSOP, Cointreau, Chinola passionfruit liqueur, and fresh lemon juice. I adore passion fruit and had always liked sidecars as well, so I figured it was worth a try, and I loved it! It had a good balance of tart sweetness and smokiness. My friend similarly enjoyed her spicy margarita, and we both imbibed while picking on some bread and herb butter. For our meal, we decided to start by sharing the Greek Salad, which was a massive bowl of romaine topped with tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, red onions, and Kalamata olives. We left off the feta cheese, but enjoyed the seasoned dressing made of red wine vinegar, honey, salt, oregano, and olive oil. It was a fresh and flavorful mix of vegetables that was a pleasure to eat. The entree options were endless and offered something for everyone. I wound up going with the Chilean Sea Bass, which was served over sweet onions and potatoes in a tomato herb reduction. The fish was tender and perfectly cooked. It was a light and tasty dish that seemed perfect for the Spring season. After our meals we were a bit too full for dessert, but we decided to get a second round of drinks, mainly because I was dying to try their Pistachio Espresso-Tini. Wow, was that drink delicious! It blended Ketel One Vodka, Mozart White Chocolate Liqueur, natural pistachio flavor, and fresh espresso. The coffee notes were not super prevalent, but the creaminess, nuttiness was the real highlight. It was a decadent way to end a delicious meal. After we settled the bill and headed downstairs, I noticed several bowls of after-dinner mints, which were a nice touch. From the relaxed atmosphere to the interesting and expansive menu, Moonstruck was a terrific option for our Asbury dinner experience.

My short rib ragu was actually delicious. Unfortunately, my wife saved me half her chicken dish and the piece I ate turned out to still be raw. I stopped eating once I noticed, but the damage was already done. Also, quick PSA on the dirty martini: it's shaken with blue cheese and comes out looking more like blue cheese dressing than a martini. Definitely not for everyone, so just know what you're signing up for.

The Speakeatery made for a great backup. You order at the counter, and the service is decent. The space is long and narrow with some stool seating up front and more table and chair seating towards the back. The grill and kitchen are situated in the middle of the restaurant. The place only has indoor seating, which fits the speakeasy vibe nicely. Overall, I'd recommend The Speakeatery for breakfast or lunch when you're visiting Asbury Park for the day.

I opted for the Tofu Scramble, which was plated with a side of Calabrian deep-fried potatoes and some sort of spicy tomatillo salsa that was studded with chickpeas.
