    Chicken Parm and Vodka Sauce

Half Moon Point is an excellent American restaurant in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. The atmosphere is casual. The band starts at 7:30 pm the Saturday night I visited. Our server was great! The busser was very good as well. I had the garlic bread appetizer which was both filling and very good. My entree was the Chicken Parm with vodka sauce. The food was excellent. My beverage Little Willow First Flight IPA was a bit pricey. The resteraunt offers a decent drink and dessert menu so the food options are plenty. I definitely recommend Half Moon Point for anyone looking for a good meal at the jersey shore!

I went to a Rosé pairing dinner and it was absolutely amazing. The service from the staff was beyond stellar and prompt to help with anything we needed. The lighting was perfect for the special dinner and everything on the set menu was absolutely excellent. The chef made an amazing handcrafted menu to be paired with 5 different bottles of rosé and each glass was better than the next. I would highly recommend going to Half Moon Point in general but especially when they have a pairing dinner!

Spinach quinoa salad with cranberry, feta, apples and herb vinaigrette. Amazing and huge!

Was able to make a reservation on Open Table at noon for a 5:30 Saturday outdoor dining slot. Super convenient. My husband wasn't sure about the menu. However, our party of 5 left completely satisfied. The $17 nachos were worth every penny. They came with delicious guacamole and chopped onions that I kept scooping up. The appetizer was meant solely for my husband's enjoyment, but all of us wound up eating it and it was more than enough. I had the special shandy drink and my mom had the fall sangria. My drink was lackluster, but she enjoyed hers immensely. I should have just ordered wine- oh well, next time! It was restaurant week and I had the special for $33 - spinach salad (omg so good), halibut and dessert. It was an incredible meal for the price. Husband had crab cake sandwich and sweet potato fries. My dad has the shrimp asparagus pasta and my mom had the short ribs, which I will definitely be getting next time. Minor complaint - the kids pasta doesn't come with a side. I refuse to pay $8.50 for butter pasta and not get anything moderately healthy for my daughter. We wound up getting her the chicken fingers with broccoli instead which was only $9 and a much more substantial meal. Overall, the food is delicious, the ambiance is nice and we can't wait to return!

We were really impressed by the location. The Food shack is located right on the beach which is the perfect way to enjoy a lunch on a Summer day in Point Pleasant. They have lots of umbrellaed outdoor seating, and some benches in the sun, so there are options for everyone. They also have some indoor seating, and the inside is adorable. We ordered a swiss grilled cheese with tomato on top, and a BLT. Each item came with pickles and a bag of chips. Each item was priced reasonably, especially considering typical Jersey Shore pricing. My grilled cheese was great. The bread/cheese/tomato ratio was perfect. The cheese was gooey, and stayed gooey even as the sandwich cooled. The bread on the grilled cheese was crispy on the outside and still soft and warm on the inside. I didn't know what to expect from a small shack on the beach, especially with something as simple as a grilled cheese, but I really enjoyed it. The BLT also had a gread tomato/bacon/lettuce/mayo ratio and wasn't too greasy. Overall I will definitely be coming back!

Even the wait time here is pleasant. My wife and I had to wait 40 minutes for our table but didn't mind a bit as we soaked up some sunshine and listened to the smooth guitar sounds coming from the guitarist playing outside. My wife had a breakfast sandwich that she loved. We split a spinach salad and I had a tuna melt on sourdough with a side of crabby fries. My sandwich was grilled perfectly. Tuna with melted cheddar and light, crispy buttery sourdough made for a great sandwich. TFS is seasonal only so their last day is October 26 this year and we plan on visiting again before they close for the season.

Their pancakes were like a a warm hug on a plate. They were thin and golden and lightly buttered with the right hint of sweetness. We added chocolate chips to ours and they added the cutest little powdered sugar flower design on them. The cheesesteak was monstrous in size. The gooey cheese and tender meat made this a great savory meal. The wings were sauced to perfection! Each wing had tons of meat and made the perfect appetizer. The hot honey chicken sandwich was a solid choice. The coleslaw on the sandwich really complimented the kick from the hot honey! Service was so friendly and attentive. It was nice trying a bit of breakfast and lunch. I definitely want to come back during their breakfast hours!

Not often does a place do as well or better than the last place when it changes hands and the previous joint was a local favorite. At the Point IMHO is one of those such spots. The menu is flat out one of the best I've seen in years! So many amazing choices from savory to sweet, creative fun names for everything, outstanding choices, tons of options for every palate. They kept some of the staples from before which is a nice hat tip to tradition but you can also tell the new chef/owner wanted to have some fun with the menu and it's a hit in my book! The food is very fresh, coffee hot and delicious, and the service is as good as it always was! Tanya is the best! The pancakes are next level, all of their omelettes I've tried have been dynamite, favorites include the French Onion Omelette, Reef & Beef and Juan in a Million. Today we had the Sunrise in Tulum Birria tacos and Country Benny (okay along with a flight of pancakes, stop judging). Everything was great! Avocado toast options are fantastic as well. Love seeing such an iconic local breakfast joint not only stay as good as it's always been but actually improve. This is a can't miss for breakfast or lunch if you're in Point Pleasant Beach or even just passing thru. Keep up the great work At The Point Diner!
