3 Poached Eggs in Lebanese 5 Spice Stew

Great neighborhood spot in Park Slope. Stopped in for breakfast and had the Lebanese skillet--absolutely fantastic. Service was great as well. Definitely will come back at some point.

Had such a great experience here! We came last Saturday around 1pm and were sat about 30 minutes later, which was expected since it was a Saturday and we didn't have a reservation but the staff was still super apologetic and even gave us a pastry on the house! We ordered the naan, the beef stew and the ratatouille and mimosas- everything was so delicious and well flavored, though I wish there was a little more salt on the food, which wasn't a huge issue since we could just add. We also got the pancake to share and that was soo good. The place was very inviting and the service was great- we felt super welcomed and well taken care of. Everything on the menu sounded so good and was well priced, I would love to visit again!

Nice place to have brunch. Service was attentive. Seems like their skillets were the highlights. I actually ordered the fish and chips which were light and flaky. My friend ordered the eggs Benedict which she really enjoyed.

Cute vibe, but the Pastrami hash and egg breakfast was so oily I count't stomach it...had to send it back after a couple of bites. The staff was great and was looking to accommodate, great staff not a great dish.

I haven't been inspired to write a review in a while, but this was the best brunch that I have had in a long time. We walked in without a reservation, and we were seated almost immediately. There were high chairs. I had the Californian omelet, and the flavours were subtle but perfectly balanced. My partner and my toddler shared the Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Waffles & Chicken. They inhaled it. The service was also excellent. Our waitress was communicative, attentive, and kind to a family with a chatty toddler. The actual restaurant was packed but it wasn't too loud. It made for the perfect brunch experience. I highly recommend!

My fiance and I loved our brunch this morning at The Common!! We ended up in the area after our morning run and chose The Common due to all of the delicious items on the menu and strong reviews. There were a few tables open upon arrival, but it seems like a popular neighborhood spot and very family friendly. We chose to share an appetizer (chips and dip) along with the Inside Out Truffle Bun. Both were delicious, with the Truffle bun being my favorite. The flavors melded in the best way, particularly the housemade bacon jam which was perfection. Chips and dip were solid too, though I would recommend ordering for a larger group since the dip was quite rich! We are already looking forward to coming back to try more of their dishes... everything coming out of the kitchen looked amazing!

Cute find but out of the way, worth a visit if you're in the area! 4th Avenue is not exactly set up, as a brunch spot... this area still needs to ramp up, if they want the park slope vibe. The Common has another location in the Bay Ridge and it's pretty good. We tried the Park Slope location for an early Mother's Day brunch... and it was pretty good. We enjoyed the food and the staff are nice. We got eggs Benedict, eggs pastrami hash, eggs over waffle and a "in the skillet" dish called the Lebanese stew.... all the dishes are decent... the skillet dish, is like a tomato based with potatoes and sausages and 3 poached eggs. It was very heavy for brunch... and we couldn't finish. Felt like it was missing some punch in taste... it was quite bland. We also got the chicken liver spread with pita... this was such a disappointing dish. The chicken liver, if done right... it's smooth, silky and can be fantastic. However - the common failed at this delivery... it was so gamey... and thick... and just not good. Don't get this if you cannot do strong liver taste. Cappuccino and latte, decent. Overall, we enjoyed our brunch. #yelpinginbrooklyn #brooklyneats

We checked this place out for a late brunch one rainy Sunday. Looks can be deceiving as from the outside, this place looks like a small chain restaurant but instead it's a chill, industrial, cozy spot! Great menu with a ton of options. Service was relaxed but attentive. We split the humus ($12) to start which was delicious and a good portion of pita. I got the smoke salmon toast with poached egg ($16) which was delicious and tasted super flavorful. Others got the omelettes and breakfast sandwiches which were also super fresh and delicious. I got a side of fries for my son and they were the shoestring kind- the best! Definitely recommend this spot.

Excellent brunch selection and service. Great vibe and food options. The atmosphere felt especially cozy on a quiet, rainy day during our brunch date.

I got the eggs Benedict with ham and it was very good! The highlight was definitely the fried potatoes they were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I wouldn't get the mango mint iced tea again though, didn't taste much mango in it. My bf got the grits and sausage (he likes it). Inside was nice and cute and the server was kind.

This place was phenomenal! From the service to the food, we were beyond impressed. Food was perfectly seasons and good portion sizes. The ambiance is super cute and modern. The front of house staff was so accommodating! We solo definitely be back soon!

I heard how popular this place was for brunch and was worried when we entered that there was a long a wait but thankfully we got seats immediately without a reservation. I ordered an eggs Benedict with fried chicken - it came with roasted potatoes and a salad. I was so sad when the chicken had no flavor and was way too dry. The best part of this meal was the roasted potatoes :( .

From the regular menu we got the mushroom toast which was absolutely delicious and great for sharing and the pork chop which is one of the best dishes I have ever had. Would absolutely come back!

Everything on the menu looked amazing, so I had the waiter choose my dish/wine pairing and he did a great job! I got the pesto with shrimp. The pasta is handmade and the wine is natural from Italy. Instead of picking a wine from a menu, you tell your server the flavor and mood of wine you're looking for and they bring out glasses or a bottle for you based on that. The food here is delicious and I was happy to see gluten free pasta options. The pork ragu was good but I was truly impressed by how good the texture of the gluten free pasta was. For me, the show stopper was the branzino. It was seasoned perfectly and the potato crust was a fun touch. The salad was nice and simple, but didn't blow me away. Portion sizes were good, though the prices are on the higher side. The restaurant is a great place for a friends' night or date night, and I'd keep the group small or make a reservation in advanced because it gets busy. It is definitely a more expensive spot, but worth it!
