Delivery and it was delicious. Packed perfectly and hot. Large portion as well. I'll order again!

Stopped in on a random Sunday, it was super busy but we were able to still be seated without a res. I would give the full five stars but it was way too hot in the backyard and there was only one fan and it wasn't near our table. Aside from that the service/food 10/10 and so filling.

As always, five whole stars well deserved. Cafe Luluc is one of my absolute favorite restaurants for a good, hearty breakfast. Especially in Brooklyn! Their fluffy, filling pancakes have had me in a chokehold for over a decade. And I'm not ashamed to admit it, lol. I'll be honest, I usually opt for the pancakes and not much else because they're so delicious, they do not need help on the plate. It comes with a small assortment of fruit on top (sliced strawberries, bananas, and blueberries). The service is always pleasant and punctual. Yes, punctual. If you've ever been here, you know how quickly the crowd grows. We arrived a little before opening and they cracked the doors right on time. They were ready to take our orders as soon as we were seated. I always appreciate places that don't make patrons feel like we're an inconvenient part of the morning/opening routine. The ambiance - the booth seating is cozy and comfortable. It's not a big place, so the space is close. One of these days, I'll stop in for dinner. Looking fwd to going back, as always!

Cafe Luluc is a neighborhood staple and has always been a go-to spot for brunch (though I have come for dinner in the past as well). Normally there is a lengthy wait to get in, but on this lucky Saturday morning we only had to wait about 5 minutes. I love the Parisian vibe here, which feels like you're transporting yourself to a classic French bistro. The service is attentive and friendly and there is an overall laissez faire joyous ambience here amongst all diners. We waltzed in with a Saturday morning craving for coffee, pancakes, and an omelette and Luluc delivered outstandingly. The pancakes are just perfect here. You can't get any better in the area. The omelette was also impeccable and flavorful. This is the brunch of champions and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

This review is for weekday brunch. Overall I think this is a solid brunch spot. The pancake is on a lot of "best" lists - was it a life changing..? No, but if you like fluffier pancakes this is worth checking out. Came a little after 11am on a Monday and was seated immediately, but the restaurant was decently full. I can imagine this place getting really busy on the weekends. Things to Know: CASH ONLY. There is an atm located in the back of the restaurant. Restaurant is pretty small and intimate - definitely neighborhood diner vibes. Probably not good for larger groups. Food: I ordered the below: -Pancakes: a must order to at least try if you're dining for the first time since it's on so many "must try" lists. Comes with two. Fluffier, with a slight crisp on the outside. Not too sweet. Enjoyed. -Eggs Benedict Ham: not the best benedict - a bit lacking in hollandaise sauce. But it wasn't bad. Pretty standard - overall tasted like a benny should. Pancake was definitely the standout.

Finally pancakes, where you can add some protein without it being a whole separate meal! I tried a few of the top pancakes in the city this weekend and Café Luluc was my favorite. Although it was not drenched in iconic sauce, like some of the others, that crispy outside and soft inside, let the pancake shine on its own. They also weren't overly dense like some of the other others. I ate the whole thing and did not feel like a whale afterwards lol Now I wouldn't be opposed to a caramel drizzle or something, but overall, it was a solid, regular pancake, and without all the frills. I was able to walk in and get a table for one and was sat immediately. Service was friendly and quick, and the pancakes and sausage were delicious. My eggs were cooked perfectly. No complaints! It's only not getting a five because they weren't my favorite pancakes I've ever had but definitely a solid place that I would return to on a regular basis. But be warned it is cash only!

Genuinely the best restaurant pancakes I've ever had!!! Slightly crispy on the edges and soft and fluffy in the middle-- amazing. The interior is also cute and Parisian, and the service is kind. Cash only is a bit inconvenient but will definitely be back soon!

a cash only gem! this is solely for their monday special: mussel frites for only $15. a showstopper. we each got a different iteration with unlimited fries and bread, and we left full and happy. such a great deal! i know they're known for their brunch so ill definitely be back to try that and their other weekday specialties.

Great service; Busy place; Hugeee portion size! Lovely service and ambiance. Small area though when they have these many customers.

WOW, what a hidden CASH ONLY gem! Stumbled upon Cafe LuLuc while exploring the neighborhood, and I'm so glad I did. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, with dim lighting and comfy seating. But the real star of the show is the FOOD and DRINKS! Service was also top-notch - friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable staff made great recommendations and ensured our drink and food orders were to our full-satisfaction during both visits! Lastly, there's an ATM on the premises if needed and it'll charge you $2.75 which is very reasonable. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu! Sebastian, is super respectful and will try to get you seated ASAP. If there's a wait...take a walk across the street and visit the bookstore. There are plenty of good reads while you wait! Cheers - enjoy!

This is my favorite place to eat pancakes! Their pancakes are always consistently divine! Super crunchy on the outside & super fluffy and buttery on the inside. I also love their side order of sausages & egg, madame croque & pasta! P.S - Cash only. There is an ATM in the back (near the bathroom area).

I've eaten here many times, shocked I haven't penned a review.Firstly this restaurant week I'm doing $30 lunches with few exceptions. I've come twice for RW. It's that fab! I've had both the vichyssoise& Fremchie salad both fantastic. The mussels Normande are beyond- & the sauce is full of leeks & butter and hers& flavor. I think this is the best mussel dish I ever had. Their busy lunch for good reason.

My girlfriend had been craving moules frites. Naturally you need a French restaurant to scratch…read morethat itch. Somehow French Louie had been sitting under my nose walking distance from my apartment all this time. We made a reservation for 8pm and after a few minutes we were led to our seats. The restaurant was buzzing, with tables fairly tight, though not overly so. Things were cozy, but not too old fashioned. First, drinks. I've been on a mezcal kick of late, and chose a mezcal based cocktail (the name of which escapes me), which was quite tasty if maybe a bit sweet. My girlfriend ordered an orange wine, and the waitress was delighted to tell us all about it (she would prove quite knowledgeable about wine when I ordered a glass later, and friendly to boot). As an appetizer went with the prawns, also quite tasty, it a bit messy. We got some bread to accompany and soak up some of the sauce, great idea in my opinion. If I was a woman who had my nails done I might hesitate to order the prawns, but if you can make your man peel them for you, you'll be delighted. After a bit of time to digest (the restaurant was quite busy, but they certainly didn't rush to get to get our food out and turn the table), out came the entrees. The moules frites were as big as abu other order you've ever had, and the broth quite tasty. The fries were not particularly remarkable but certainly weren't bad. I ordered the bavette steak frites. The steak itself was done well (medium rare, to be clear), as were the fries. The salad, often an afterthought, was a wonderful supporting actor to the meal, with excellent acidity and freshness as a counterpoint to the steak and potatoes. I would be remiss not to comment on the house steak sauce; it was so good I ended up pouring it all over my fries (almost reminiscent of poutine, appropriately). It was tangy and bright and complemented the steak well. I'd buy it if I could. We'll be back. French Louie is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant, I only wish I had found it sooner.
