Mack Ave & BBQ Bacon BLT. Mm mm good.

SUCH a cute spot and oh my goodness are Ms. Karen & Mike the sweetest! The sandwiches are de-licious. We got the Mack Ave & the BBQ Bacon BLT and split it (finished in less than 5 minutes). Sooooo good. AND, you can do your laundry while grabbing a snack and a cup of coffee. OR, if you have other errands to run you can drop off your laundry & it'll be ready when you're done. Definitely stop by a try this gem. A nice place to snack & relax.

Love this spot. Awesome staff, community-rooted, great drinks and food options! Shop local :) keep the money in the community instead of starbucks hands.

Hidden gem! It's actually a laundry mat and coffee shop, what a cute idea. Very clean and modern inside. Amazing looking mini pies and giant cookies await while you order. They are speedy and have good conversation with you while you wait. Plenty of seats, even an added upstairs.

I don't have to go way over yonder now for my sweet potatoes addiction. A chill laundry mat.

They seem to do brisk business here but it isn't usually crammed with people. There's a lot of residential here near the University but almost all the buildings have machines. Still, if someone's already doing laundry or if you wanna knock out multiple loads in an oversized machine CCCL has got you covered. The Bronx Bar and Marcus Market are also conveniently located across the street if you're looking to pick up some essentials or kill time with a brew or burger while doing the wash. This laundromat is clean and bright and now has multiple murals adding splashes of color to the walls. They still rock the classic Ms. PAC Man/Galaga machine. I recommend Galaga as the down on the joystick doesn't work too well and you don't even need that direction for Galaga. Disappointingly, pinball wasn't plugged in on my last visit. Presumably it's out of order. I'd come here more if I actually did laundry when the sun was up instead of during the wee hours.

I was sketched out about this place for a long time but my first trip was pretty uneventful. It's not in the best neighborhood and I actually explored a couple abandoned houses nearby while my clothes were in the wash. I guess that's actually eventful, huh? Well, nothing eventful happened inside the laundromat or in the parking lot, though. Everything was chill with not many other patrons and the other customers had the same I'm-just-trying-to-get-this-over-with vibe that I did. I did notice a bunch of the machines were broken but that wasn't such a big deal as this laundromat is the size of a small flea market with rows and rows of machines everywhere. My second visit was cut short. Again, no problems with my fellow launderers. I noticed the place had a bit of a funky smell upon entry, but nothing that was worth packing up and leaving over. Then I noticed even more machines were broken. Red flag, but there's still dozens and dozens of washers and dryers. It's when I get to the change machines that I see a sign that says due to "coin shortage" they're not dispensing change. Three of four are lit up red showing they're all out and the lone machine remaining stays true to the taped up sign and won't inhale my dollar. So damn lame. It's 2024 and the "coin shortage" hasn't been a thing for three or four years. You can find it in the mists of the past along with the "murder hornets". So I pushed my cart back out the door to the big metal bar barriers to keep people from stealing them and loaded my clothes and cleaning supplies back into my Jeep to find another late night laundromat that had quarters. So weak! C'mon, Coin-O-Matic! Coin is in your name!!!! Doesn't it imply coins are automatic there?

Upon entering the building in the summer be prepared for groups of guys hanging in the parking lot and around the front entrance. Today the attendant did not have the key to the restroom which I don't understand why it's locked in the first place. When I was finally able to get in the restroom, the attendant came BANGING hard on the door which startled me cause I was in the middle of relieving myself. I'm definitely going to be showing pictures of this place, The machines that you get quarters from are usually down or taking your money. The only reason I still come here is because it's so close to home. I genuinely don't like the amount of loitering that happens here.

On Michigan at W Grand Blvd, this laundromat is not in the most desirable area. ESPECIALLY if you are taking advantage of the 24 hours factor and coming here late night. I would definitely not advise that. But on a light post-daylight savings time evening when I needed some laundry done fast, and knowing that my usual laundromat on Vernor closed early, I decided to just brave it. I only had one load to throw in. I was pleasantly surprised! Street parking put me right in front so I had full view of my car the whole time (and no...my car is NOT the beat up white one in the picture on here lol). Inside, I found a very large selection of various load sized washers and dryers. Considering I've yet to ever see a 24 hour laundromat that is squeaky clean, this place is pretty well kept up. There were a lot of families in here, with the kids running around playing and watching spanish television on the one small TV while their parents did the wash. I brought a book to bide my time. The regular top load washers are only a dollar per load - CONSIDERABLY cheaper than what I've been paying at Lupita's on Vernor. There was a gentleman working there, walking around and spot cleaning and just providing general service. He kept to himself but was working the entire time, and had a kind face and smile. There are a few vending machines for both snacks and detergant. It almost made me feel bad for writing the Coin-O-Matic off as being a shady pit, which was honestly the impression I always got just from driving by. Because it's not in the best area, I would forewarn anyone who gets real anxious around that type of environment. Also, I would never go (especially by myself) late at night. But it is really SO much cheaper than the place I had been going (where i paid about $3 per load just to wash), so I just may switch and start coming here. But I will make sure it is during daylight hours. :)
