Very messy, concrete pools water, "tried" fix it with a thin layer of resurfacer that didn't do the job and flakes off. Owner yelled at me over then phone when I demanded they fix it correctly. They ripped out only part of the problem, repoured and it still pools water in several places and they left the resurfacing material on another area so it is just flaky and looks terrible. The owner Alex stated several times that they take every job seriously and respect the home owners property. He had his crew out on Monday 4/14 and they demolished the driveway and prepped the driveway for new concrete. The crew placed tools on my lawn area and I had to tell them to remove them from the grass. The next day they tried to pour concrete and truck broke down, there are oil stains everywhere on the road outside the house. The only time I got messages from the owner "Alex" was for the payment. Below are some pictures. His crew damaged my front lawn and cut the irrigation line to the sprinklers. I asked them to repair it and I was told by Alex that we will get it done and the front yard damage is still pending . He is now ignoring all my calls and messages, now that he has the payment. Funny enough, as an owner of a business he never reached out to ask me how everything went, all he was interested in is when will I get payment. When I asked him to have his crew clean up they came out and did the work. I immediately got a text from Alex asking for the final payment, I said "let me inspect the work and then will make the final payment ". He was very rude and said "if you don't have the money to pay just let me know". Later that evening I paid him and since then there's been silence. I called him 4-6 times this week and no answer. Finally i decided to block my number and he answered and he said "i will send you the money to fix the grass yourself". I'm supposed to be receiving an Invoice which i still have not. Followed up with The Concrete Company after he told us that he will schedule us in after 2 weeks, to only being told he will fit us in this week and get back to me by Friday evening which has not happened. Thursday 5/29 I sent a picture to Alex of the crack concrete in the driveway and asked him if he's going to fix this. He called me back within seconds of the message. Immediately he said why are you posting reviews on google, BBB and other social media platforms. I told him that he has not honored his word to repairing these items and said to me "what incentive do I have to repair these items damages, after you placed this reviews." My response was, you need to uphold your word and per the contract I signed before you started the work. He sent us an email on Friday 5/30 which basically states he will fix the issues but wants me to remove all reviews and that I will not post anymore reviews. I told him I am not willing to sign the contract unless he fixes the issues first. Long story short he is not willing to fix the damages unless I sign the new contract. He then started to pint fingers at my character and said I'm a liar and that I treated him and his workers as if they were beneath me. Alex is playing a game now and is falsely accusing me by making false claims against my morals and human nature. I have never seen someone swoop to this level when they are in the wrong. Please see the attached screenshots of text messages from today 5/31. They do not stick to their word or by the standards that they potentially preach when they want your original business. Do not use this company. The owner is not trustworthy and does not live up to his word. Be very careful when thinking about hiring him. In late March/early April, My wife and I hired Alex and his team to pour a concrete patio for our backyard. We had a few companies bid for this project and Alex's bid came in at a significantly better value. My wife and I are extremely happy with how the patio came out. If I were basing this review solely on the concrete patio itself, it would be a 5-star review. Your experience may vary; however, this was my experience. Before any work would be done, Alex told me his crew would put down boards for the skid steer loader to drive over so that any damage to my grass would be minimal. However, no boards were put down and damage occurred to one of my underground irrigation lines. My backyard has a security camera set up, so I was able to see when the damage happened. Alex's crew fixed the damage to this irrigation line, but only after I sent Alex pictures and videos of the damage occurring. Once the crew had finished pouring concrete, Alex did not stop by for a final walkthrough. So, I called and texted him about a couple of open items I wanted addressed before the project was finished. First item: When the crew had set my AC units down, the AC's flex conduit had pushed into the wet concrete leaving a small impression that needed to be patched. Second item: The crew had dug up my irrigation control wiring and poured concrete over it. While I would have preferred to have the wiring run through some conduit before concrete was poured over it, this was not the case. Previously, I had this control wiring running neatly along the side of my home before it went into the ground, so I asked if Alex could splice it and extend it so that the wiring lay neatly as it did before. Eventually, these items were addressed, but 3-4 weeks after Alex initially promised to do them. Finally, upon starting up my irrigation system in May, I found that the other two zones had also been broken in the same fashion as the zone Alex's crew had repaired. Repairs were done to these other zones by my lawn service company, and I informed Alex that I had these repairs done. Alex offered to reimburse me 50% of the cost of the repairs; however, we were not able to settle on the reimbursement as the request was made for my wife and me not to post a review should we accept the reimbursement. Again, overall, my wife and I are extremely happy with the concrete itself, but the lack of communication post-project led me to an overall 3-star experience. I hired Alex and thought that it was going to work out well. He said that they had a cancellation and could do the work on Thursday and that it would be a two-day job. He also offered me a $200 discount, which was great, but I had to remind him when he sent me the invoice. I got a confirmation text that they would be at my house between 7 and 7:30am on Thursday. Later, I received another text that they would be at my house between 2 and 2:30 on Thursday. I kind of ignored that one. Anyway, at 7:11am on Thursday, no one had arrived so I sent Alex a text. He responded that they were a day behind (would have been nice to know sooner). Anyway, the team (no Alex) came the next day and were very quick. They were done by 3pm. At first glance it looked pretty good. The next day, I took a better look and was very disappointed. There were some places where the concrete was only 2 inches thick, and others that were 7 inches thick. The slope was inconsistent. I called Alex and he came out to look at it. He offered to patch spots, but I was not convinced that it would actually correct the problems. I had someone else come and look at it - not a contractor who wanted my money - and they recommended that it be removed and re-done. It was apparent that the team had not properly prepared the ground below. I wrote to Alex to let him know. After 5 business days, I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. I then sent Alex another email to let him know and this was his response: "That's fine. Keep your money. I guess you got a free patio. Best of luck in life." He took no responsibility for the terrible work that was done. While I'm glad that I didn't have to pay for the terrible work, now I will need to pay someone else to remove the patio that is there and pour a new one. In the end, it is going to cost a lot more. I cannot recommend this company. In fact, I would suggest that you proceed with caution or choose someone else. read more

The crew was in too much of a hurry and slipped up on a few important details. Alex, the owner, failed to ask where the elevation of the concrete was to land with respect to the house, and put it in the wrong place. The finish work was mostly good, but when they were placing the concrete, they allowed aggregate to get in behind one of the forms and that bowed the form out. Then, instead of simply getting the aggregate out, they actually finished the concrete in a curve, where it should have been a straight line against an existing sidewalk. They also allowed their forms to be staked out of level, resulting in a noticeable tilt to the finished work. Finally, in the process of filling the forms, they ran the wheelbarrow both full and empty, back and forth over the steel reinforcement bar inside the forms, and if I hadn't been there to pull the steel back into place, the steel would not have even ended up inside the slab. I had to personally keep lifting it into place throughout the pour. When I confronted Alex about all this he became very agitated and even threatened me, my houses, and by extension, my family. He started playing the race card claiming he was from "the hood" and "the projects" and that he knows where I live, etc., etc. All because I wanted to discuss the quality of his work with him, which he characterized as "excellent". Troy was so helpful in answering our questions about financing and adding a last-minute change order. The crew arrived on time (early!) and worked until the job was done. These guys did a great job. There were a couple of divots that I let them know about after the crew had left and they came came back by and fixed. They put a ramp in for us off the back patio along with a sidewalk that continued around the house to the driveway. Alex, the owner, and Troy were excellent and accommodating to deal with. This company is one of the worst companies to hire for concrete!! Within 3 months my concrete started flaking and Alex said he would replace patio portion but came out and only did half and I told him the rest was bad concrete but he didn't want to listen . I even had an engineer come out and say the same thing . So now after a year my concrete is still flaking and all he can say is my warranty is up !!!! I wouldn't hire this company on a dare. Alec poured my driveway in the spring of 2018. Several sections developed cracks within two months. The company did replace those sections. Spring of 2019 a large section started flaking. Alec put on a top coat. Spring of 2020 that section began flaking again even the top coat. Alec refuses to repair/replace says its the cement company responsibilities. Another company says the concrete was too wet. Still Alec's responsibility. His guarantee is for the birds - they fly away. Beware. read more

The crew did a good job, but the company itself must have money problems. They were shaking us down for final payment when the job wasn't finished. It was a terrible way to treat a customer. I have been in business for three decades and I have never been treated worse by a contractor. There was never a minute of business time when they weren't paid after they finished the work, but the job took longer than they thought so they were working in the dark and they didn't clean up or finish every detail on a Friday. So we notified them of the missing work and they had to come back on Monday. Their supervisor commented they were back for "hours" so I should appreciate it. They knew there was significant work they had missed, but that's ok as long as they complete the job. Again they finished after business hours on Monday and then immediately when finished they started calling and leaving awful messages at 7PM then again 6AM the next day...what the heck? I paid them at 6:30AM less than 12 hours and zero business hours after they finished. So unnecessary to have such a terrible customer experience. Not sure what is going on but it was not anything I would want to repeat. read more

As Steve has mentioned, Alex is not a person to be trusted. He put in a driveway that within a week there were cracks. Alex has repaired the areas; however, when the concrete was removed it was discovered that the supporting wire was between the ground and the concrete. It was not within the concrete itself. Therefore, I believe my concrete will develop more cracks in the near future. I provided a place where he could put the old asphalt and I provided the dirt to cover it. Alex said he would smooth the filler dirt. That was four weeks ago. Alex is my neighbor, but I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy. read more
