Pouring rain at the Biltmore Estate. Perfect time to go shopping. Perfect way to stay dry. This was a sweet treat to find all the sweet treats. Walls of chocolate, gummies, coffee, tea, fudge, and the list goes on and on. This was my favorite shop and I stocked up on sweet treats for myself. This was also I great shop to buy all my loved ones sweet treat from our vacation to the Biltmore Estate . Their variety was excellent and their quality is delicious

I love this place! I visit every time I'm in Asheville - it's in a great walkable area surrounded…read moreby a bunch of other shops and restaurants - and it never disappoints. I've had a bunch of their truffles (the spiked ones have a good kick, and the hot/spicy habanero caramels are actually to die for). Service is always pleasant and friendly too. It's a good thing I don't live too close because I would come here every day. I am also addicted to their drinking chocolate. Prepared as instructed, it makes a super thick, creamy and decadent treat but sometimes I swap it out for 2x the milk and enjoy a luxury hot chocolate. You can't go wrong with the Chocolate Fetish!

The chocolates are priced by piece and they have something for everyone. I picked out four for myself and two for my friend: peanut butter cup pistachio Rocher a dark chocolate sea salt, caramel a chai moon truffle, and a cinnamon churro toffee. I indulged in my four pieces of chocolate, nice and slow when I was back at my hotel room lol. The dark chocolate peanut butter cup had to have been my favorite. The spicy pecan caramel really caught me off guard and I knew when I do go back and visit I will be bringing back a separate box for my husband of those and any other of their spicy chocolates and caramels. The inside was clean, well lit, and the staff were very friendly and helping choose different options.

That is totally reasonable so we made the truck over. When we arrived however, I thought we were in the wrong place. It has an industrial feel, not a farmers market feel, and there were no markets going on outside. As a matter of fact, the only market was indoor with about a dozen or so stalls. We were disappointed, but I wanted to check it out so my husband remained in the vehicle with our dog. I looked at every market stall inside and I was in and out in about 5 minutes. Having produce doesn't make something a farmers market. It just felt like walking around local grocery store. About a third of the vendors were fruits and vegetables and the rest were knick-knacks and t-shirts and miscellaneous items. Also, it was incredibly empty. I mean I understand why. I did find a new cider to try but knowing what I know now, I would most likely not make the drive again. I realize I'm not from the area, but this was no different than any local grocery stores to me.

The aroma of chocolate wraps around you the second you walk through the door -- rich, warm, and completely unforgettable. There's an entire area where you can watch the actual machines they use to craft their chocolate, which adds so much charm and character. But our favorite part was the cozy coffee section. A simple caramel latte ended up being the highlight -- balanced, smooth, and exactly what we didn't know we needed. A little moment of serendipity we're glad we found.

Tours are offered daily with reservations, and the café is also open for walk-ins. I ordered a hot chocolate, not realizing it was made with dark chocolate. It turned out to be very rich and strong. A bit too intense for my personal taste. I honestly wish they offered milk on the side so I could dilute it, as I wasn't able to finish it. Afterward, I definitely needed water because of how rich it was. However, I also ordered the mocha stout cake, and that was absolutely delicious and very enjoyable. Overall, it's a great spot for serious dark chocolate lovers and anyone interested in high quality, handcrafted chocolate.
