Double scoop of Salty Caramel and Apple Pie in a waffle bowl
Kelsey N.

After a long walk in the Biltmore Estate gardens, we decided it was time for a stop in the Stable area for some ice cream! We were initially a little hesitant about getting ice cream since we thought the price would likely be more expensive on the estate than if we were to go somewhere off site. But boy were we wrong! We waited in what looked like a pretty long line, but luckily it moved quickly. As we got closer to ordering, we saw exactly how big the scoops were and all of the doubts we had faded away. A single scoop was more like a double scoop! So when it was our time to order, we had decided we wanted the double scoop to share (since it was less than a $2 difference for an additional scoop). And the person scooping our ice cream even asked us if we were sure, because it was A LOT! (Clearly she didn't know what ice cream eating pros she had in front of her.) But we stuck to the "double" scoop and it ended up being just as massive as she said it was (more like 4 scoops). We ordered the Apple Pie and Salty Caramel flavors in a waffle bowl and it was the most perfect lunch/snack. Both of the flavors were fresh and went really well together. And of course it tasted even better because we felt like it was a really good amount of ice cream for the price. Stop into Ice Cream Parlor at Biltmore if you are looking for something sweet to cool you down and definitely share with someone else to get your money's worth! Getting the double scoop to share is a way better deal than getting two separate single scoops. Happy ice cream eating!

YUMMMMMMM. So good…read more My friend is an ice cream cookie monster and has it several times a day when we travel bc that's her favorite thing when she travels is to try all the ice cream in town. I'm happy to oblige, lol. So, after an hour in the Asheville Salt Cave, we walked over here to try this ice cream. Two staff inside working, it was incredibly hot inside, were happy to answer questions and greeted us warmly. They had a nice selection of flavors on the wall and a few specialty flavors. My friends went with a salted caramel vanilla and a peanut chocolate flavor. Both were OK but mine was the star of the show for me. I chose the Vanilla Oreo Cream which was this delicious creamy vanilla mixture with huge chunks of Oreo cookies. It was smooth, it was sweet, it was delicious. As a cookies and cream fan, this was top notch. They sell lactaid pills here if you need them, to assist with stomach discomfort from dairy. Smooth and creamy ice creams here with a range of delicious flavors. If we'd had time, we would've stopped in every single day!

We were looking for the best ice cream in Asheville so we yelped it. Ultimate ice cream came up…read moreand after looking at the pictures and reading the reviews we headed out to Ultimate ice cream. The address in Yelp brought us to a blue building clearly marked with the address we were looking for BUT it was a pharmacy. We persisted. We eventually found an ice cream store behind the pharmacy called "The mad dipper". We went in and talked to the young woman working there. She said they used to be "The ultimate ice cream" but they were bought about a year ago and the name was changed to The Mad Dipper." She tried hard to convince us they were the same but after having looked at the pictures prior to arriving I would disagree. We still ordered ice cream and it was good but nothing special. There were a few inside tables as well as outside. It appeared clean but disorganized. The young woman working was kind and polite. She did a good job. Would we go back- probably not. I am still trying to understand how/why the new owners have not taken the time to update their Yelp page. Really poor marketing!

Potential New Boyfriend is an unbelievable and unique find -- that glad I decided to make a stop…read morewhile coming from Art District! I'm blown away -- if I could give 5+ Stars I would! The lounge and music paired with desserts and wine is such a niche and fun vibe! I love the weekly features - especially Monday fixed menu of desserts with a shot of espresso or wine! The blueberry mint ice cream deserves a cult following! It's made with REAL mint and the color is amazing. The truffle balls are both delicious and serves as a charity (sine profit donated to local charity). The cream puff is light but packed with flavor! The late hours draws in a large crowd!! The waitress is so nice and upbeat. I will definitely have to make a trip back or before I head home!!

I used to live in this area so was excited to find this new to me spot. It's a mix of a wine/cocktail/dessert/vinyl bar. The music was amazing and the vibe was perfect. I loved the natty wines they had to pick from and the extremely unique menu. Our server was super sweet and helpful. My best friend enjoyed her cocktail and we decided to share the dessert flight. Our favorite part was the sundae, I highly recommend getting their ice creams. The tiramisu and truffles were fine compared to the sundae. When we were there they played a great mix of Robyn, Whitney Houston, and some other artists. It feels like you're in your cool friend's living room. This is a great spot for a date or to meet up with friends. I can't wait to return when I'm back in town.
