The name alone "sparked joy" for me and that they have savoury pierogies topped with tender bacon as well as dessert pirogues...!!! Witches balls hung from the ceiling, guitars perched on the walls and they served my tasty mild (thank you for not making it too spicy) Caesar with green olives and salami?! We also had a stunning crispy pork schnitzel. Everything was too delicious not to share and we had to negotiate over the last pierogie. Our server was so sweet, helpful and fun I felt like I had been going there for years. We planned on going skating in the park afterwards but everything was so delicious and fun that the skate rental was closed when we got there but rushing that meal would have been all kinds of wrong. We could have ordered appetizers and a dessert for the Taste of Brampton Festival which, knowing we would have missed out on the skating anyway, I would totally have done if I had a time machine. Regardless, it was the perfect meal and I hope one day I get to go back. This is 100% my kind of place, food and people. No complaints! 5/5 wooden spoons. ~ Suzie The Foodie

We tried their food during one of the summer farmers markets in downtown Brampton where they had a…read morebooth selling sandwiches, pastries and breads. The schnitzel sandwich is great. It has a huge piece of thin pork that's not too greasy and comes with loads of sauerkraut or great caramelised onions that add some sweetness, or both. They make their own bread and pastries so everything is nice and fresh. The portion was enough that I was full with half the sandwich and enjoyed the rest later. We also tried a bunch of pastries, the best were the cherry (I think it was) triangle pastry with crystal sugar on it (flaky and still warm, so good) and the cinnamon roll (the right amount of sweet). The croissant had a lot of potential, flaky and buttery (not the typical bread shaped like a croissant that you find in other places), but it was a little under done in the middle so will have to try it again to give it another chance. The other pastries were nice, but not favourites. We enjoyed it and would get food from here again, or maybe try the restaurant some time.

The tables were full while were there...we had to flag a waiter to get our order. Once that was done, the food came fast. We ordered many dishes to try. I have no complaints at all, and here are some of my favourites: Veal steak - nice and tender. And I love the sauce which has a kick to it. Cabbage rolls - a must try!!!!!!! Hummus- super tasty with the bread Osso buco - the meat was very good with the sauce it was in I love the live entertainment. The guy was talented!!! And the music wasn't crazy loud that we couldn't hear each other talking. A definite recommend!!

I'm always searching for Eastern European food as I missed this food that I used to get in Etobicoke but it's a little far from Markham so now I finally found one that is close by.If uou're looking for something new to try, give this place a try! Their meat dumplings (Plemeny)in mushroom sauce is delicious.Tibetan Mo mo used to be my favorite dumplings but now is Russian Plemeny dumplings. For our mains, we got the grilled salmon skewer and Beef Stroganoff to share for the 3 of us us since our appetizers, perogies, borsh soup and meatdumplingsitems were more substantial (not light dishes)so we didn't need individual maiins. They also give you a basket of complimentary bread slices to start so I recommend you get get the Egggplant Ikura spread cause it goes nicely with the bread(double check that you'll get bread).Since this was our first visit I'm not dure if they always give bread.Booth maindishes were delicious! I like to try their cabbage rolls on our next visit! I actually have a long list of items to try on our next visit so we'll definitely be back!

We were here for a weekend lunch and there were folks there for a late breakfast as well as another family with small children having a meal together. Based on the phone calls, it sounded like the place was booked full out that evening. We had (table of four): - Mixed Grill Platter (for two): it fed more like 3 - 4 people, lots of variety to pick at; Sausage (pork), Chevaps (pork and beef sausages), Raznjici (pork), Chicken Schnitzel and Karadjordjeva Schnitzel (Pork rolled & stuffed with prosciutto and cottage cheese) - Vienna Schnitzel (pork) - all the dishes comes with (potatoes OR rice) AND vegetables (buttered carrots, beans, broccoli, cauliflower); various potato sides (like crispy fries) as available and rice (like tomato gypsy based) There was enough food for four people plus leftovers as a side for dinner. The sauce was great on everything from the schnitzel to the fries. Service was quick, food was great, and it was all at a great value. Will be back to try their buttered fried mushrooms and nature (mushroom) schnitzel in future. A local staple!

The server was very attentive and friendly. The salad was good; however, the pork chop was a little dry, but it had good flavor, and the veggies were delicious. I will be back to try other dishes when in the area again.
