It was pretty on par for what red lobster is, nothing to really complain about there but nothing was outstanding. The place looked the same as I remember when I used to dine here as a teenager. It's nice that it's well kept, and has the same ol' red lobster feel. The restaurant is clean, the service was excellent, staff were friendly, and very helpful. I'm not used to getting exceptional service but our waiter, an older gentleman whose name I'm missing was a stellar representation of this brand. Our order was rung in correctly, and we got all the food we ordered in a short time after ordering it. I don't know what it is about this location, but it really does make me rethink going back to this chain. The biscuits came to the table warm and crunchy on the exterior but so soft and fluffy on the inside. Every bite was packed with that delicious red lobster biscuit flavouring. It truly was a taste experience. We ordered Brussel sprouts for our appetizer, and I am glad we did, I wish they would add this to their appetizers profile, and throw in some chunks of well done bacon. I would definitely order this again, and maybe even return for this dish alone for a moderate sized snack. We tried the main deck of margaritas, and I was thoroughly delighted by the creative and true to flavours of the drinks. There was a perfect balance between the alcohol content and mixers, allowing you to taste all of it. The rimming was well selected as well. If I could have a favourite of the three we tried, it was the middle one, I think passion fruit mango maybe.. but all three were VERY GOOD! For our main dishes we had the pound of crab legs, how can you go wrong? This dish we selected to do Cajun flavour, and it had a nice balance of spice and spices, a definite favourite that we will be adding to our list of re-order items. I had the choose your three, with two garlic shrimp, one coconut, and added shrimp linguine. Honestly this is such a classic, I really don't think you can find anyone who hasn't tried this before. But I really like the chart your own course, as you get about 7-9 options to choose from. The fourth item was only $5 to add on, and makes for a great kids meal. My last few experiences were at the young Dundas red lobster, which honestly has deteriorated my opinion of tibia brand repeatedly. And I would strongly advise anyone with working taste buds to avoid the young Dundas location. HOWEVER, the Sherway Gardens Location, WOW! From start to finish, I am honestly just so impressed at the difference, and am at a loss for words for how good this one was. We came here for a family dinner. They have lots of seatings but get busy pretty quickly. I recommend coming in before 4pm if you're not keen on waiting in line. The service was average. It took some time for the food to arrive, especially the biscuits. However, it's understandable since they were busy. The lobsters pair great with the garlic butter. The shrimps were perfectly cooked. They were juicy. The scallops were grilled nicely as well. The NY steak was okay. I recommend dipping the biscuits in the garlic butter while they're fresh. There are some restaurants that only work because of nostalgia. We used to go to Red Lobster often as a kid and I loved it. What kid wouldn't love a joint where you can order a platter that consists solely of fried food? So when the opportunity arose to check out this location on a recent holiday Monday, I didn't hesitate for a second. We showed up around lunchtime and the place was almost entirely empty, so we were quickly shown to a nice booth with a sweet window view. I knew I wanted to get something extravagant and ridiculous, so I eventually opted for the Seaside Shrimp Trio ("A generous sampling of our Walt's Favourite Shrimp, hand-crafted savoury garlic shrimp and creamy shrimp linguini Alfredo. Served with lemon, cocktail sauce and choice of side"), which I got with a coleslaw. Oh, but before any of that happened, we were presented with an order of Red Lobster's Signature Biscuits, which tasted exactly as I remembered. They'll never be mistaken for top-notch biscuits, but they sure hit the spot. My main arrived a little while later and it was as absurd as I hoped. I joked that I needed to use a wide-angle lens to take a picture, as the plate was almost comically oversized. The food is uniformly just so-so, however. Everything's generally pretty well made, but the main problem for me was the salt level. Each item on the plate was oversalted to a fairly disastrous extent, especially the creamy shrimp linguini Alfredo. I wouldn't say the food was inevitable, but it sure skated awfully close to that line. I will say, though, that they don't skimp on the amount of shrimp, and again, it was all well prepared and tasty (i.e. no rubbery shrimp here). I just wish the chef had eased up on the salt. Boy were we wrong the service was fair but the meals we both got were horrible, I usually only get the fish and chips and garlic shrimp the fish tasted frozen than fried and over cooked and the coleslaw was tasteless, my friend order the feast and she was so mad as the crab legs and lobster were also tasteless and forgettable. I decided to give it another shot after some friends wanted to eat here and my experience did improve. The meal started off with the seafood stuffed mushrooms and a basket of biscuits. I found myself not enjoying the biscuits as I had in days past as I found them to be a bit too salty. The mushrooms tasted alright but I still do not know what seafood was in it as all I tasted was cheese and mushroom. For my main I ordered the seaside shrimp trio which came with Walt's Favourite shrimp, garlic shrimp, and shrimp linguini Alfredo. The linguini was good as the sauce was nice and creamy and it was loaded with shrimp. The garlic shrimp was pretty decent while the Walt's Favourite was a little less enjoyable as I found it to be a little more soggy than crispy. The service was pretty good as the waitresses were friendly and checked on us regularly to ensure we were enjoying our meal and that we were being looked after. The decor is your typical Red Lobster at pretty much every other location. It does feel a bit dated but overall the space was comfortable and clean so really not much to complain about here. And our dessert was good too we got chocolate cake I really enjoyed it. The ambiance was family friendly and comfortable but the air conditioning is a bit high so bring a sweater. I went there for my birthday dinner with my friends and husband, the food was okay but the service was sloppy, the waiter was not handling the food tray properly and it was almost to fall on me, then we ordered dome drinks and one ordered warm water with lemon but they forgot that order and then we had to ask repeatedly for it, then when the bought that water it was boiling hot not warm. This was my second time in five years visiting this Red Lobster at Sherway Gardens. It is a busy location for a large restaurant. I noticed that there isn't much décor at this restaurant and it was dimly lit. I do like the large platters being carried around of seafood by waiters. My favourite is the free biscuits given. For a table of two, you receive six delicious buttery biscuits with a hint of chive or parsley in it. I had forgotten how delicious these biscuits were. These biscuits should not be free based on how good they are. I am glad that the restaurant gives copious amounts to diners. Entree: *About two cups of nicely cooked broccoli - the colour green was popping. *A side of mashed potatoes- it needed some salt. *A perfectly baked tilapia topped with cooked lobster meat in a creamy sauce. Dessert:Brownie Overboard:very large dessert for a cheap price of around $8. *One large scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate sauce. *A very large slice of decadent chocolate cake with frosting. I always like red lobster, and I had a craving. The location was clean when I entered and the staff was attentive as soon as they saw me come in. They sat me quickly, but it was mid-day and they weren't busy. Within a few minutes, the server came and brought me bread right away (YES, LOVE THAT STUFF) and we had a chuckle about it. She told a story that if it were up to her, it would be her regular diet, but she actively has to avoid it cause it would be a slippery slope to become a bread monster. Absolutely fell in love with this place! After hundreds of positive comments and thousands of reminders from one of my friend to visit it, I finally gave a try to this restaurant and didn't regret it for a second. I loved the wide variety of seafood options on the menu. This time I took a big plate with different kinds of shrimps,a lobster's tail and baked potato on a side. Food was fresh, aromatic, full of tastes, perfectly seasoned. What I enjoyed the most is the whole experience of digging, cracking the claws, extracting every peace of "meat" from the shell, getting used to tweezers (not sure that's its correct name) and a small fork. The overall impression of the evening was very pleasant and enjoyable. For desert I had "brownies overboard". The portion was huge, which makes it a great option to share. However, my friend is not a fan of brownies, that's why this dish I had to leave unfinished cause the amount was too much for me along. I highly recommend this place for everyone, who loves seafood. Given it was a Friday, there was a bit of a wait, but very worth it in the end. We were seated in Heather's area. She was incredibly pleasant the entire meal. Very accommodating, never far away. Figuring she was just an anomaly, i tried listening in on the neighbouring tables and the service they were given. Across the board, employees were providing amazing customer service, pleasant conversation and suggesting meals. Red Lobster must have rolled out a very excellent training program in recent years, as I have never encountered such amazing service at a location before. The food was what I expected from Red Lobster. Delicious, fried and with a side of biscuits. Beyond anything else, the food was PIPING HOT! So fresh. It was pretty tasty the steak I mean for a seafood establishment. I asked for it to be cooked rare but it came back more medium then rare ..it's ok little hiccup I still ate it . The lobster tail was a little small aswell but maybe that's what you get for $40 If your coming with a date / significant other Expect to pay over $100 easy for a dinner of 2 and that's without alcohol . They have some great seafood platters though and some nice cocktail choices aswell . There's alot of older people here and families aswell . So other than paying $50 for my steak being over cooked with a small lobster tail The place is alright ...it's clean and quiet and staff is pretty friendly. read more

Getting a table can be very difficult for big groups! We went to make a reservation for a table of nine but were told they don't take reservations; however they do "call aheads". So we did that and were told we wouldn't have to wait very long when we got there. We arrived at 5:20pm and were not seated until close to 6pm. We were told it was because of the large rush of people who came in just before us but it could have been easily prevented by reserving a table for us. Besides that, the biscuits are delicious and the main course was pretty good. I had the garlic grilled shrimp over rice with mashed potatoes. I found the rice to be somewhat bland but the shrimp was fantastic. I don't think I would choose to return of my free will as there are many other places with seafood that can offer tastier food and faster service. read more

I only re-write reviews seldom as they typically don't need to be updated. My party and I came here last weekend. We made reservations for a certain time, and upon arrival were told a large group currently had out table and we would have to wait. We ended up having to wait 30 minutes past our reservation to be seated. To make up for it, they told us we could order some apps for the table for free, which was very nice of them. Our service was pretty good, only a few blips with orders being incorrect, but with a large group it can happen. One of my guests experienced something that'll stop him from ever coming back. Upon chewing his rice, he felt something hard in his mouth, spit it out into his hand to discover that it was a PIECE OF GLASS. No joke. We immediately called a manager over who was very professional about it, apologized profusely and immediately comped his meal. He was offered another meal but declined. He was also given a gift card as an apology, he ended up giving it to me because he says he won't be coming back. I can't say I blame him because I can only imagine what might have happened if he has swallowed said piece of glass.... The food here is delicious but this incident may have effected a few of my guests from returning. Dined here about a month ago, see my check in earlier, really great experience. Toronto has very few truly seafood places, and locations for some can be a fair distance from south Etobicoke. This restaurant has a few locations so very convenient and with good choices on the menu. The gentleman serving us listened to what we had come here for and then provided the appropriate suggestion, which for me was the ultimate feast and for the wife, trout and shrimp dinner. Both very enjoyable though shrimp skewers were a tad overdone. The scones that come with every meal were delicious. Pricing was slightly high, but expected. Perfect place for large groups. Seriously one of the worst meals I've had in a long time. Everything was so ridiculously salty, I swear my blood pressure rocketed after I was done my food. We came here as a last resort because we were starving, had movie tickets (so we couldn't venture too far away) and there just wasn't much else in the area that sounded like a better option. Plus I was really in the mood for some seafood. I ordered a plate that came with bourbon scallops and bbq shrimp. My S.O got the "feast" that comes with lobster, butterfly shrimp,snowcrab and garlic shrimp. My scallops were disgusting. I felt like I was drinking shots of bourbon with every scallop I ate. My shrimp were coated in a really sticky and lumpy bbq sauce that made them taste absolutely horrid. My bf's dinner was better... the lobster was good, tiny, but good. The shrimp were also good - nothing extraordinary or special about them. Our server was attentive and friendly, but no ammount of good service could have salvaged my horrible meal. Wow. Where do I begin? 1st time ever at Red Lobster: walking in, live lobsters, fresh. very nice. We were seated and the waiter was very courteous and introduced me to a new favourite mixed drink: Malibu Hurricane (the only thing is is that I did ask before hand if they had jagermeister and goldschlager and he said they didn't have any jager.. and when I was walking out I saw that they had them both sitting right beside eachother at the bar...) Other than that we felt comfortable and he offered my mom a nice wine that I did enjoy. The food was delicious. I love how they have the seafood fest menu that changes every so often and the food really looks like as per picture. which is nice; you don't get that alot with other restaurants. No complaints there! DELISH. (lobster and shrimp.. amazing!) Now, when we got to our car, I don't have any idea how it began but basically a BIC lighter exploded in between the drivers seat and the gear shifting unit and a fire had sparked; one of the female managers (not sure who) was very helpful in helping me get water as I was running back and forth to get it so that our car didn't explode or fully catch fire. (VERY SCARY EXPERIENCE!!!) Another manager came on the scene to see if we were ok, i'm so glad that we got the help we needed and the fire was extinguished. I swear I always get sick after eating at red lobster but we came to this location for my moms birthday and for the endless shrimp. 22.99 for endless shrimp, you get two choices of different styled shrimp and one side. You can get refills of any shrimp from the list. It's worth the money for sure, I got garlic shrimp, ginger-sesame and the shrimp fiesta. I definitely hated the fiesta, it was literally breaded shrimp with nacho cheese drizzled on top which I don't personally like with shrimp. But I just kept ordering the garlic shrimp.. it was so so good, hot and fresh. I'd go back just for the garlic shrimp. Oh and the biscuits! read more
